Only Good For 9 Months
I loved them at first but now the outer liner is no longer water proof. They only lasted 9 months before they started one at a time leaking. I have emailed them. They told me how to wash them and suggested I wasn't doing it right. I beg to differ I own a laundromat not a self service one either I spend 10 hours a day 6 days a week doing people's washing.... I think I know how to follow instructions on laundry washing by now.
I have just started using cotton nappies- stupidly I read reviews on peapods so didnt want people to buy them for me as I heard they were terrible.. so I had 2 in my collection and about 15 of brand "x". Turns out the pea pods are SO MUCH BETTER!! No leakage, super absorbent, kept bubs skin dry as all urine was absorbed away from her. adjustable leg straps are the absolute best idea ever, my girl has skinny little legs so I love that I can adjust to fit her! Also they are slimmer than my other nappies and come in their own little bags so easy to store!
I am currently kicking myself for wasting all my money on the more pricey brand because they have failed me every time. Could not recommend Pea pods enough!
These are very absorbent nappies which I really love as my bub's been wetting heavily in the past months. Its natural bamboo material are more tougher than I expect and fits well. I have yet to see an incident of leaks as it really absorbs well compared to commercial ones. They also store well in any nappy bag and looks slimmer and can fit perfectly even in my regular purse. i find this the best transition diaper if you would want to start using cloth diapers.
Great nappies! Love them!
Super absorbent (my baby is a HEAVY wetter)... love how u can adjust the legs, love the absorbent insert, love the way it clips in.
Honestly had no problems at all with these nappies, they are amazing. If u are thinking of switching to cloth I highly recommend using these first.
(YouTube video how to put on a cloth nappy by the way, u have to change the way u put nappies on- I had no idea until I saw a YouTube vid explaining what u have to do different to achieve a snug fit).
All in all 5 stars!
Great basic nappy.
I was gifted a few sized PP when I was pregnant with my first. They were absorbent from the get go and the sizes were a great fit. I invested in some OSFM, both new and 2nd hand when I had bub number 2. The bamboo inserts are great but do take a bit longer to dry than a cotton insert or a microfibre one. I can get 4 hours out of a nappy with no issues. I have found the trick with cloth nappies is not the absorbancy of the nappy itself but how you fit it that can cause leaks, such a compression leaks at the top and sides. That is of course unles...s you leave it on too long or have an insert that does not absorb much! My only gripe with my much loved PP workhorses is that the elastic is shot on a few of my OSFM which means they are useless now. Overall I am very happy with these nappies.
If I had my time again I wouldn't buy them
Similar to another reviewer, I have had two nappies where the studs have broken off with only 6 months of use making the nappies unusable as it is the main studs on the flap that holds the nappy together. I only use these nappies at home as I find I have to replace them every two hours otherwise they leak (despite fitting tightly around the legs), unlike my Baby Bee Hinds that last 3-4 hours. They are easy to use and fold however and slimmer than other cloth nappies. The liners you can buy from them are great too.
I have used the sized and OSFM adjustable nappie since my son was 3 months old. They have all been fantastic!
Like most MCNs they do need to be changed ever couple of hours, I do have a heavy wetter as well. Absorbency increases the more they are used.
Only leaked from the sides when I have left on for too long and if I had them on the wron adjustment around the waist.
I had some given to me from a friend also, they lasted for children and my son also... So well worth the money if they are taken care of, will last for years!
I am now using the training pants also I like the brand so much.
Leaks every single time DO NOT BUY
These nappies are a complete waste of money! I got them when I was pregnant last year in the expo, and they are horrible quality! They leak every single time, I have washed them so many times to try to get them to be more absorbent and they are just shocking quality! $150 for the deal to get 10 nappies + 1 free at the show, biggest waste of money! I will be making a complaint to consumer affairs asap, this product is beyond horrible!
Good to begin with
I really liked my pea pods. I bought hem new and loved the fun colours. However, over time the inserts got very misshapen, even when i tried to shape them after the wash. This made it almost impossible to use them again as they leak every time. I haven't used them in several weeks because of this, even though I spent $200 on them. Other than that, they are very easy to use and clean and put back together. If they didn't go out of shape and become a leaking mess I would love these
- Edited to add: I now use these almost exclusively, apart fro...m if we go out for a while. Mostly they aren't leaking (after doing a strip and extra deep clean, and taking the time to reshape), but still sometimes have the odd accident. I have used them for around 8 months total and they are still absorbent and look new. I would recommend these, but would also err on the side of caution for the leaking factor.
Great nappy option
I've been using the 'pea pods one size fits all' for about a year. We go through patches when they leak more then others but with a little adjustment, they stop. They are at their best now, after a lot of use the absorbency has improved enormously. You need to change them more often then disposables so most of our leaks are due to me being slack rather then the nappies not working. We do use disposibles at night though. Cloth nappies are my choice due to the environmental impact of disposables. I use cheeky wipes in place of disposable wipes as...well. My son experiences very little nappy rash. I have friends who use other MCNs and all have leaking problems if you don't change them regularly enough. Don't give up on MCNs straight away, they get better with use and are a long term investment that pay off in my opinion.
Great nappies. Horrific customer service.
** have included new feedback at the end, based on the most dreadful experience with a faulty insert **
We purchased the expo pack, one-size-fits-most mcn.
At the Melbourne pbc expo, we wandered from stand to stand to get info on various mcns. While very lovely, the other product reps were pretty clueless. The Pea Pods rep was delightful. She took a pair of clueless first time parents and explained what we should look for and (obviously) where the pea pods were best. In hindsight and with trials of a few other brands (just to compare for a...
Nappies started leaking when baby 4 months old
We purchased a trial pack at the baby expo (10 nappies +1 free) in February before we had the little gir in March. As she was born little, we didn't begin using the nappies until she was about 3 months. Initially happy with them, although we found that because the stay wet against her skin, she was more prone to nappy rash and required very frequent changes. And then a month after we started using them, we had do a clothing change every nappy change due to leaking. We never use washing liquids and follow the cleaning instructions to a tea. We o...wn a few bumboo nappies (excellent btw) which we took the booster inserts from to increase the absorbing capacity of the peapods. This worked for a while but we have started leaking again. Pea pods is a poor product which I would never recommend or purchase again.
Poor quality and even worse customer service!!
Poor quality product and even worse customer service. If I could rewind I would have read these reviews and not bought this brand, however, at the time I was overwhelmed with the many different brands of cloth nappies and I just chose the cheapest option. I spent $150 for 10 nappies all with matching wet bags plus a bonus nappy and night time booster and 5 rolls of bamboo liners (a “special deal” which is, 2 years later still continuing). Seems like a pretty good deal doesn’t it but don’t be fooled - cheap and nasty. I bought the nappies while ...I was pregnant and so I didn’t open them all up until bub was about 3 months old (so just over a year after purchasing). Once I opened them all up to wash and prepare for use I noticed that 4 of the nappies were faulty, 2 were missing clips and 2 had been incorrectly sewn so that you couldn’t adjust the size. I emailed pea pods with my issue and after 1 month I was still waiting for a reply, I got fed up and eventually did some ringing around. I left voice messages and never received any phone calls back. After a further month and getting quite frustrated at this point I spent 3 days ringing and ringing and ringing until someone finally picked up, the lady gave me another email address after I told her that I hadn’t yet had a response yet with the current email address. This time I finally got a reply. I returned my faulty nappies and 2 weeks received 4 new ones, which I was pleased with until I realised that 2 of them were completely different colours to the ones I had returned. Although this may seem insignificant to some, I chose and paid for a particular colour/style/pattern and don’t forget the matching wet bags. Now I have two green nappies and two non-matching swirl print wet bags. I assume they sent me the green nappies as they were back stock and no one buys them. I know the swirl print is a popular pattern but not discontinued (they have used this excuses with another customer with the exact same experience – see reviews above) and if it were out of stock they should have given me the option to either wait or chose another colour/pattern. I then emailed pea pods expressing my disappointment about a month ago now. After reading other reviews on here, I highly doubt I will get a response. All I can do is warn other people about the horrible customer service and the extrem poor quality. The nappies I used for less than a month and they always leak (I have followed all instructions and so I know it isn’t anything I am doing wrong) and they also wear away and fade very quickly. I will be sure to share my experience with as many people as I can via mothers groups and MCN pages on facebook and hope no one else gets caught in this trap. Spend a few dollars extra on a decent brand, this company is just after your money!
Very poor product
I purchased the one size nappies and followed the instructions for use including prewashing, using half strength detergent, strip washing, using warm water, and adjusting the sizing of the leg bands appropriately. Despite this they have leaked every single time I have used them. I have spoken to peapods customer service and they have told me to do the same things that I have already done. Despite repeating these procedures (at expense of time, water, detergent, and energy) they still leak. I am extremely disappointed in this product.
Really unhappy with this product, leaks every time! I followed all instructions on the website and they still leak! I have tried contacting the company and they asked for my number to call me..3 emails later and 3 unreturned phone calls I'm still waiting to here from them. I want my money back.
These are great nappies, I have tried a lot of different brands and these are by far my favourite. I have had my 11 month old in them since birth - she's now around 10kg and will still fit comfortably in the small, even though I think she is bigger than the recommended weight range. I also have some of the one size version, which I love, really easy to use and keep my baby really dry and happy. Drying time on pea pods is soooo much better than every other brand of MCN I have tried (only terry squares are bigger). I'm very happy with my purchase
We've saved a lot of $$$ already from using Pea Pods. We have a few brands and found that Pea Pods tend to be the ones we go for. Love the dark coloured inner lining, shows no stains!! We use them when going out and overnight with no worries. Easier to wash and dry than I expected.

Shouldn't have wasted our money
We bought over $400 worth of Pea Pods and used them for our first daughter, came to use them for our second and the elastic has warn out on the "one size fits all" adjustment which has rendered them useless. Customer service is non-existent "rubber is organic, it wears out" was the response I got from them. The claim to save thousands of dollars on their website is a joke, disposables for number 2!

Leak a lot
I bought a starter pack of one size pea pods before my daughter was born thinking they looked great. However we have not been able to get a good fit despite the adjustable leg elastic because there is nothing to hold the front corners up so they dip down below the waist line and become loose around the legs and then leak. They leak so much that we no longer use them. I did email pea pods about our issues, not that I think they are solvable, but I have not had a reply. I am hoping that when her waist is bigger and we are doing up the waist closer to those front corners they might fit better.
Price wise they are not cheap but not particularly expensive. I do like the inserts, they are very absorbent and I use them in my other nappies.
Are at least better than Itti Bitti
It took a few months for them to become absorbent but now my son (who pees alot) can go 3-4 hours in them. Wold never use at timetime though as dont think they would last the distance, instead use Huggies Disposables.
I have the sized nappies and havent had too many issues. You only need 10 nappies if you wash every second day. Dont bother buying more than that.
Peapods are not the worst nappies out there, that honour would have to go to Itti Bitti. I paid twice as much and they are a terrible fit plus they are harder to use (especially when they dont bother sending instructions with the nappies). Peapods are easy to use, fit well and good value if you take advantage of their discounts.
Questions & Answers
Hi guys, I’m about to start using my peapods. Baby is 3 weeks.
I only washed the inserts once, is this ok? Do It need to wash more times?
Also, what’s the difference between the peapods nappies and pilchers? Can I use the insert to s in the pilchers or donI need to buy special ones?
How old / what size is the largest the one size fits all suitable for? My granddaughter was wearing a different brand of reusable nappies as an infant but she grew out of them. She is now 18 months old. I'm hoping these will be ok to fit her.
