Skeptical at first but now I own it! – It took me two years to really warm up to the epro.i play Yamaha e kits but after playing this I love the real feel and sizes just like playing a real drum kit.I also appreciate practicing on this and then playing on my acoustic kit I find I don't have to alter my playing style and I'm not cramped up like on other electronic kits. But it plays like a real kit because it IS a real kit. Real sizes brass cymbals give it realistic look the feel of playing a real kit as opposed to the scaffold look of some skits Hi hat cymbals sometime slip

Awsome e-drum kit to play, looks fantastic, pearl has done a great job! – I was originally going to buy an edrum kit to compliment my acoustic kit as I have moved out of my parents house to a small unit and could not play the acoustic that often. I was looking at all the usual e-drum brands, Roland, Yamaha and the 2box, but the Pearl just blew me away! The drum brain and cymbals (I chose the black rubber cymbals) may not be as advanced as some of the other brands, but overall with a good set of headphones the sound quality and dynamics do sound fantastic. When you are playing the heads they feel extremely close (IMHO) to a real acoustic drum. The fact that the epro has real sizes and can be converted to an acoustic drum kit is just the icing on the cake. After buying a PA speaker I no longer need the acoustic drums!

Overall a great first attempt at an electronic drum kit pearl, I am patiently waiting to add more drum sizes and e-cymbals to my setup!

Thanks for reading. Inexpensive only $2.5K for the whole kit, can convert to acoustic kit, real sizes and feel. Black plastic cymbals and drum brain are not as advanced as other brands.

This is not actually Pearl's first attempt at an electronic kit. Pearl made e-drums in the '80s. Also fail to see how you can give this a five star rating and then admit that the brain, arguably the mist important component, is sub-par.
