Very poor management
Very poor management decision not to provide additional data at no cost to NSW flood victims where internet or telephone reception failed. Various requests were made by me and virtually palmed of and ignored. Thanks for nothing pennytel.
Great service, no issues.
I have only had one instance of no coverage and I also had it in the same location with my previous provider. I am really happy with my decision switch to Pennytel.
Great phone plan
So far so good no problems with reception. Price is good and the reception is always very helpful. However I have tried many times but I still cannot log in. That is my only complaint.
Very efficient service
Our network coverage has been good. The data downloads are ok. There have been no frequent dropouts.
When your help has been requested, you have given it in a friendly, efficient way.
It works as advertised !!!
Coverage seems 95%. I was on Horrocks Highway, Auburn, SA yesterday - black spot near service station. Other black spots along that Highway as you get closer to Adelaide. Better than other carriers.
Good for the farm
So far network has been 100% reliable with no dropouts that I have been aware of. Download speeds meet my expectations. Just as good as telstra, even in remote hilly location on the farm
Excellent. Best price. Great service.
No problems and works fine. I like the price and glad to have been given the opportunity to have the service. I like the fact that you tell me when I start to teach my data limit.
only wanted 1gb suits my use.Haven't had any problems so far
very reliable network.suits my minimal use for low cost.Have had no issues with network speed/drop outs.Former supplier,Testra, couldn't could not match price.Would reccomend for low use users who do not need to pay for what they do not use
very good service from personel cant fault them at all
Yes the phone does drop out often mainly in morning to arvo but good nite time ,,, if I sit on my front verahanda facing east it doesnt fade out as much
Fabulous mobile phone coverage.
Great network coverage same as our previous provider.
Easy to apply with Pennytel no hidden costs involved.
Very happy with the service plus it is much cheaper and provides more
data, wish I had switched much earlier.
No dropouts etc, every thing is a ok. Would recommend to others particularly for the value. I don’t have anything to add, but have to (why?) have a least 30 words.
As good as a mobile network should be.
Not had any problems with network availabilty or dropouts, but then again it is using the Telstra network and not Optus. I just wanted a provider that works where I live and was reasonably priced. Was unsure of the amount of data I would need but the included data with their base plan satisfies my needs.
Price and service are great. Coverage is very widespread, no dropouts and great download speeds. Have recommended to many of my friends. Very happy all round. How do you do it for the price??
This has been one of the best decisions we have made in years.
I have been pleasantly surprised with the reliability of the network and the speed with which it deals with our needs. I am also delighted with the service we get. It is no trouble getting in touch and the personnel are always very helpful and handle our inquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.

Being a new customer having had Telstra previously which was so expensive, after the initial billing problems were overcome with Pennytel, I am now pleased with the pricing and coverage.
Questions & Answers
I’m strongly considering coming across to Pennytel, but I have some questions for you. Is your service capped through out the day? At this moment with Belong, my service is forever dropping, sending and receiving messages are delayed. Phone calls don’t go through or aren’t received and Internet access and streaming are at its worse. Will this happen with your service?
Thank you for reaching out. ...Like Belong, we also use parts of the Telstra Mobile Network that covers more than 98.8% of the population with 3G and 97.9% of the population with 4G. Whilst you should not have these kinds of issues on this Network, it is possible that if you are having them now, they may continue with a Pennytel Mobile service. However, if you did want to port your service over to us and the issue continues, we could investigate and work towards getting this resolved for you. Kind Regards, Pennytel
How and were to find the pennytel mobile app, I can’t find it the App Store .
Thank you for reaching out. We are currently experiencing technical issues with our Pennytel App appearing in the App Store - we are currently working on getting it back into the Store, and ...
Hi, Belong is forcing its current 1GB plan customers onto the more expensive 3GB plan in April, so I am thinking of switching to Pennytel. In your CIS I have seen "PAYG rates apply for MMS Video In Australia to AU mobiles"—does this mean I won't be able to text animated gifs or videos without extra charges? Also, it is unclear what happens if I go over my monthly data limit, do you automatically apply a top up and charge me for it? Cheers
Hi there, thanks for reaching out and for considering Pennytel!
Our 1GB Plan includes unlimited standard calls & text plus 1GB data. If you run out of data and need a bit extra to tide you over, you...can add a 1GB data top-up for $10. You can add this top-up yourself at any time. It will not be topped up automatically.
Thanks Pennytel for the reply! Just one last query—if I go over and choose not to top my data up, am I just capped at a very slow rate, or do I simply not have service after that point?
If you choose not to top up your data, when your data runs out you will no longer be able to use mobile data. Unlimited Standard Calls & SMS will still be available. ...We’ll send you usage notifications by SMS when you reach 50%, 85% and 100% of your mobile data inclusion, or whenever you add a 1GB data pack. You can also check your data balance at any time by logging in to your Pennytel Account online or via the Mobile app. - Pennytel
