Price and staff hopeless and dishonest
Look up petbarn to get price on nexgard. Ok has click and collect from store. Has same price online. Has same price in store. Yes all same. Go to store and price at loganholme is $20 more. Staff said can change price if you go home get your internet and come back and show them their own price on their site and they will sell it at their advertising price. Just foolish and incompetent. More to place internet black ban for petbarn.. Suck stupidity
So this company pulls you in with discounts, yet when push comes to shove youdo not get them. Buy the month previous and receive a 15% discount. When you ask about it you get told, oh thats ONLY for dog and cat products!

My husband & I went to our local store in Success, WA
to buy some flea killer & shampoo.
We spent $174.00 for 1 dog and 2 cats, on flea treatment. IT DID NOT WORK!, 2 Weeks later dog still scratching, We were furious, then i saw something about GOAT SOAP, went to our local ALDI and brought 3 bars for $3.00, guess what...it works, no more scratching, fleas, allergys......never again will we go to PET BARN, RIP OFFFFFFF...
Buy Goats Soap, save all your money......
Over the top prices
Unreasonable prices. Roughly 23% more expensive than other major competitors. Apart from slightly longer trading hours (2 hours in total per day) I don’t see why they’re charging convenience store prices.
Crazy expensive rip off
Been buying kitten food from my local petbarn for $67 only to find out they sell it $54.99 online. That’s a whopping 25% overcharge.
When I pointed that out the guy said he will match the price (with their own online store!!) because I was a ‘member’. What insulting nonsense.
No apology and never corrected the price on the shelf so they can keep on ripping the next customers off.
Will never ever buy from any Petbarn ever again.
I went in to order a dog food they didn't stock in store but was on their website. I was told "no can't be done". Then went on their website. Postage for a one off delivery was prohibitive. Then received about 10 products by mail I hadn't ordered. Had to return them. Was told it was a computer glitch. This was a while ago. Haven't been back since. Pity it is my nearest store.

No greeting at entrance by any of the staff including the manager. Prices are too expensive compared to Pet O and Petstock. Both the other companies staff actively acknowledge customers rather than blatantly ignore them!
The dogs beds do have prices marked on the, Therefore if you require a price you have to carry down to register. I wanted to price 3 or 4 beds. I did not buy any as that is not the way so sell your product
Bad costumer service
When I was paying I ask couple of questions to the girl at the cashier and she started screaming at me...very disrespectful...I will not go back to Waurn Ponds shop
Really Disappointed with this particular store
I actually love Petbarn but the store in Narre Warren (not the Fountain Gate one, which is excellent) really let us down recently.
My daughter bought me a Betta Trio fish tank for my birthday present. A staff member who called herself “the fish lady” claimed to be all knowing with all things fish related.

do not honour price match.go to budget pet products for best price.I think this is deceitful and false advertisement. The products from budget pet products were the same as pet barn stock but were a lot cheaper.
This place had cut my dogs dewclaw off, which he the had to go to the vet to get stitches. Display simply said that they were going to help build his trust as he has anxiety which we then took him again for them to grab him by his nose while cutting his hair and making him more anxious this place is disgusting if you don’t like your job don’t do it this place is simply in it for the money not the animals
Just had the worse experience at my local PB.
Now don’t get wrong I’ve been shopping there for almost 7years and think Bree and her team on the floor are excellent. Always polite friendly and very helpful.
But today after 5years of being at our regular groomer smoochiepoochie who I highly recommend people, Cat is brilliant!

Different pricing in-store from online
So 3 times now I have emailed for my pick up order to be cancelled. I have had no response on 2 emails, I went instore only to be told there is no cash transactions so had to order online.
When I did go instore, the price was 20% different, which I mentioned to sales staff, they really didn't care, this was the Frankston store.
I needed to get something from Big W the same day I went to pick up my online order and Big W had the same type of bed for $35 cheaper, due to no bar code on the bed I was given it for $12.50. The online price for Petbar...
I saw that the price of dogfood was too expensive compared to the food sold at the pet aisle at woolwoorths or coles so i asked the staff for the reason and he told me that the reason for this was that the brands at woolworths were cheap and at petbarn they focus on selling top of the range products. I initially thought that was a reasonable response untill i saw the exact same brands that are available at local supermarkets like the ones mentioned earlier being sold at nearly twice the price at petbarn. This is ludacris.
Groomers at Browns Plains PetBarn
Very bad experience at the groomers at Pet Barn Browns Plains. I had my dog, a long haired German shepherd booked in for grooming last year at this salon only to have the appointment cancelled at the last minute due to illness. Which does happen and I accepted this but am still waiting the phone call to rebook even thought I left a message on the phone later in the week. Recently when my friend wanted to take her German Shepherd to the groomers . I decided to give them another go, made the booking for both even thought I had to call twice to g...et hold of them despite leaving a message to call back which again did not happen. On the day to the appointment was called to cancel again due to illness. I must admit I did mention that I was not happy as this had happened previously but at least this time they were rebooking straight away instead of waiting for a return call that does not come. She did offer a 20% discount. Took them both in yesterday at 1000 which was the time I was told was the new appointment. The groomer at the counter was very rude and complained that we were supposed to drop them off at 0830. I then explained that it wanted my dog to be clipped between his back legs as it gets matted. Also mentioned that he as a bit reactive to other dogs and would play up it he was groomed with my friends dog as he would want to play and that he did not like heights so would not cooperate if put on the table. Apparently did not listen to me at all. When we went to pick them up were advised that we should not bring them again as he jumped around on the table. I told her this would happen if they did what they put him on the table a groomed him with the other dog. And to make matters worse they charged double what was original quoted with no calls or messages about costing more or even looking at him at the beginning and confirming a price then. I accept that his coat was very thick but double the price seems extreme. And when inspecting him they had completely clipped of his feathers on his front legs and the trimming on the back is very rough. At least I could not find any injuries on him unlike my friend’s dog. We complained to one of the staff at the counter and she was very helpful, took our details and said that she would pass on the manager on the Sunday and she would get the manager to call. Well it is now Sunday night and have not received a phone. The customer service at this store appears to be very hit and miss and the groomer was very rude
Disgraceful service from store manager Wynnum pet barn
I was a loyal customer shopping here for years until today. The store manager should be fired for her rudeness and ego. I had the most terrible experience today at the Wynnum plaza pet barn with the Store Manager. She was rude because I already knew the store policy on buying fish and didn’t need it explained and then she insisted on serving me out of a queue of people at check out and then had the audacity to tell me pet barn cannot guarantee the three fish I was buying because of the tank size I have. So I have 2 Platys in 150 litre tank and ...was buying 2 red nose tetra a sucking catfish plus fake plants etc so spending about 50 dollars. Firstly she tried to overcharge me for the fish and then the store manager insisted they will not gaurantee the fish So I ended up not buying anything in store and left. I won’t be returning to pet barn after this experience. I have been shopping at this pet barn for years with great service up until now and now will not go back and will no longer shop at pet barn stores. Absolutely disgraceful customer service and this store manager should be fired for losing business for the store over her own ego. What happened to customer service? I’ll go to somewhere that has respect for its customers. Again the manager should be fired.
Rude girl at Victoria Point, QLD !
Myself, my wife and my 2 kids aged 5 and 8 just joined Petbarn and thought we would visit a store to check it out.
As we were walking around the kids saw some fish and loved them. They were tapping on the glass, not too hard and there were no signs up to say "no tapping" so we didn't think it distubed the fish and they seemed okay. One of the girls who was working there, told off my kids in a very agressive and rude way, they were nearly in tears and quite shocked.
We walked straight out as there are ways to handling things in a professional and mannerly way, she was so rude !
We won't be going back, we will try an independant per store now.
I will not be returning to this grooming salon
I have been taking my dog to this dog grooming salon (Petbarn Bayswater) for over a year with no issues. The previous groomers I have encountered here have been fantastic!! However, the previous groomers are no longer working there and the last couple of times I have had my dog groomed, I have been VERBALLY told my dog had matting and been overcharged (even though my dog has never had matting before). However, this was not reflected on my receipts. Instead it was written on the receipts as a "style groom", which I never asked for. Apparently, i...f a dog has matting this needs to be written on the receipt as such. Be warned...check what is written on your receipt and sign in quote and if they are not correct (or if the sign in quote is left blank and/or you have been VERBALLY told something) question it!! After my last two encounters at this salon, my dog will not be returning.

I am a member of pet barn and recently got an email showing me my points balance, I was only a few points away from earning my voucher so I went in and bought what I needed which cost me $92 so I said to her, I should have a $10 voucher today after spending this much now, I was promptly told, no not yet. Long story short after complaining to customer service on the 1300 number I was told I made 2 purchases on the day at 2 different times, I said I did not, she said she had both receipts in her computer so I asked what did I buy on the second vi...sit and she started rattling off items I did not buy, she said what’s happening is petbarn staff forgot to logout of my profile and gave my free voucher to the customer after me who bought the items and that’s why the items were under my account, so be alert pet barn customers when your told you have no voucher question it because if you don’t they WILL give your free voucher to another customer and probably even their friends who are in there that day. Customer service has been in touch with me and is currently being rectified.
