Will never buy a Peugeot again!
I bought the car as a second hand in 2013, mine is a 2006 model and it had only done 95,000 kms.
In the last year I have been experiencing major issues with the transmission and how it slips gears and then THUDS into gear. As of last week I get a message on my dash saying "Gearbox Faulty".
Peugeot Australia quoted $6K(!!!) to replace this. My mechanic is doing it for $1K.
My lesson: Stick to a reputable car manufacturer; Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, Honda!
I bought a 2.0 peugeot 307 hdi last year.In my lifetime I have owned aprox 20 cars,it was the worst car I have ever owned Windsreen wipers come on radom,it lost water ever ten miles the arm rests fell off,the door creaked, the breaks were terrible.Take my word for it the worst car ever;dont buy one please!!!!!!

Know better, choose better.
I bought it brand new in 2002. Had it for 7 years. I promised myself I would never buy a European car again in my life. Beautiful and sophisticated but totally unreliable and very expensive to maintain.
Worst car i've ever driven that is 'roadworthy'
No power, less than an early 2000 swift or lancer, no clutch feel, slippery clutch on hill starts even brand new.. sloppy shifter, terrible radio display (or lack thereof)
Handling of a $10k car
Sagging roof liner
Poor visibility, useless side mirrors, even with the drivers side having the concave curve (most euros are good with it)
Power steering overheats often
Parts are more expensive than a bmw or merc ...Arm rests too high The only thing i actually like is the 'limiter' cruise control function, i do wish my car had that This isn't my daily driver, and i'm super glad of that. Ew. Terrible terrible car DO NOT BUY The cruise control.. Everything. Literally everything

307 promises the earth and delivers an atlas.
build quality is poor. Diesel filter problems plague Peugeot and Citroen diesels in this country. Common faults include just stopping because the filter collapses blocking fuel flow.Trim bits fall off. Early cars had the carpet cut too short in the factory. As a result the edge of the carpet pulls out from te scuff plate on the door jamb
Air bag lights coming on is another common problem.
suspension clunks caused by faulty shock absorbers or the font hubs machined too small - many of the latt...
