Shaver never completely removed beard or neck stubble. Followed Philips customer service suggestions (except upgrading to series 9000) but have returned shaver and reverted to HQ9190 for much better shave.
Purchased in December 2018.
Very basic-Lot's of cons
Pros: feels good in the hand, quite ergonomic
3 large cutting heads make a quick shave on all the face
Cons: Cutting blades grab when you get close around the chin area
Pro's Awful power cord connector. You can only use supplied AC cord to charge
Takes a long time to charge/Quick to run out
Thumb turns unit on & off if pressed too hard whilst shaving
Quite a large shaver overall, could be smaller
I will dispose of the shaver when the cutters are worn.
I wouldn't buy another one. I may try another model
Improved it is.
After 40 years with Philips with several departures to Braun and Remington this latest from the Dutch is the best yet.
Easy to clean, once you can decipher the cartoon manual.
Easy to charge and what's more it seems to hold its' charge for weeks.
The multi directional head is great for loose neck skin and it is as good as its' advertising guff giving me a smooth close shave.
Further there is NO skin irritation and the trim attachment (subject to reference to the cartoon manual for attachment) is effective and easy to clean.
Purchased from The Good Guys through the web (eBay) the price was 10% better than the Shaver shop.
The down side is the poor response from Philips re: issues with warranty activation i.e no response despite several emails. Their website does not recognise the barcode nor the model number.
