Over a week for a response...to be told they can not help!!!
Customer service of Pickles Auction is absolutely appalling. Contacted Pickles via the phone and followed up with an email that day. Finally received a response over a week later (after countless calls/emails) to finally be told...no can not help - even though they agreed to help a week earlier. Do not waste your time with this company....

Scammers to the max
I bought a 2012 Mitsubishi Triton from the Sunshine Depo in Melbourne. Paid $10500 plus fees. Flew in from Adelaide with my wife and young daughter to pick it up. The description said all was good and driveable. Picked up the car on Friday morning and by Saturday it started dripping diesel. Mechanic said we could drive it back to Adelaide slowly so we started our drive. We stopped at Ballarat to find the passenger side of car had diesal all down the side. Had to stay in Ballarat a night before we drove back to Melbourne. I took it to a mechani...c in Melbourne who fixed the issue so that we could drive it back to Adelaide. That took a couple of days. Started the drive on Wednesday only to break down 37 km from Horsham. Called RAA who organised a tow to Horsham. The timing belt snapped which in turn has caused other issues. We are now stuck in Horsham with a car that doesn't drive. Now we have to organize the car to be transported to Adelaide. This bomb is costing us so much money. You would think that paying that much for a car you would get something decent. This car has so many issues. What are you going to do about it Pickles?? Answer your phone. Have been trying to call you.

Seamless transaction using the DIYinspect app.
Using the DIYinspect app, I followed the simple steps as directed and lodged my vehicle for an appraisal.
A few hours later I received a decent offer.
After accepting the offer, I received some paperwork and returned it. All got approved.
Drove my car to Geebung and on arrival signed a receipt and received payment into my account.
Simple, professional and worth considering.
Watch out for the list of huge pickles fees added on to auction bid prices.
Beware of 3 huge pickles fees. Here is an actual example, I bid in a Pickles live auction through the internet & won a $1400 old car. Check out these actual fees, they are a ripoff. On the invoice there were 4 charges, $1400 for the car plus 3 big fees added on. The first fee is an admin fee of $66 plus a second $110 fee just for bidding on the internet plus an even higher third fee of $189 called a processing fee. Total of $365 in extra fees added on just for buying one $1400 car. Be aware, if you buy more than one car you'll pay all 3 of t...hese high fees on every car you buy. Also the internet bidding fee and processing fee will increase with higher bid prices. These fees are not in plain view, they are tucked away probably so buyers wont be put off bidding when they see these huge grabs for money. Buy from manheim auction or graysonline, they are more upfront with fees and their fees are much lower on similar value purchases.
not up front about sale items reserve prices!
They list items for auction and do not indicate whether there is a reserve, when you bid and become the highest bidder, they then tell you the reserve has not been met and you have not won the auction bid!
This has happen twice to us in previous weeks!
bought a car from pickles auctions vic tullamarine (missing parts)
i bought a car from pickles auctions in vic tullamarine. when it was delivered today to sydney i see that the expensive navigation unit was missing, ( it was in the pictures when i bid on it online) i called the branch and spoke to a lady who transferred me to another guy who said and i quote '' when your tow truck driver came to pick it up he should have mentioned that the navigation unit is missing because once its out of the site we are not responsible'' i told him how is the tow truck driver suppose to know what the car comes with, he is ju...st picking and dropping off the car, he said sorry cant help you. i say you cannot be serious? are you playing with me.. he said no sir im serious, i said if the car was on your yard and someone comes and takes the navigation unit because the car is unlocked how is that not your responsibility, he kept saying no thats impossible we dont steal anything, i told him it could easily been anyone who looked at the cars since the dashboard interior was damaged the navigation unit was kinda sitting there and could have easily been removed. he kept denying it ( i do have the pictures of the car they uploaded on their site which shows this) later i told him looks like you are just trying to tell me to go get f##ked, he kept mumbling and saying no we cannot do anything, I told him i have to be compensated, than he says ohh so this is all about you getting something, i said are you serious? i want the navigation unit that came with the car or an equal amount of money that it costs to buy one off the market. than i told him i will contact fair trading, he said go ahead im gonna end the call now. absolutely appalling customer service, i cannot believe i was dealing with a company inside Australia. i am actually thinking of contacting fair trading even though in the long run it would not be worth my time i feel like i need to do it out of principle.

Always do your due diligence
Have bought 4 cars (All of them via gov't auction) and countless items in the general auctions. IF you are careless enough to buy a car and not inspect it in person, then you only have yourself to blame. Have bought general goods and $10- $600. I got what i paid for all as described.
Joke of a business - check out the story on A Current Affair last night
I bought a vehicle there some months ago and there were numerous faults not listed on the condition report that couldn't be missed when doing an inspection. I contacted Pickles to remedy the situation and they were incredibly dismissive and arrogant.
Feel free to contact A Current Affair, like I just did, with your experience if it proves to be terrible like mine was. The story comes up at about the 18 minutes mark on October 9 2019.
STAY AWAY FROM 'DIYINSPECT' APP BY PICKLES
Decided to try Pickles 'DIYinspect' App for selling a family members car for them. The car is in immaculate condition, low km for its age, top of the line model with every factory option included plus full service history and has conservative Redbook value of $22K. Their offer, $12K...I contacted them to double check as thought they must have made a typo in the email, no such mistake they were serious!!! I asked the person at Pickles if their staff who collect cars wear balaclavas, hoodies, gloves and can hotwire cars, LOL. Don't waste your time these guys are an actual joke.
BEWARE BUYING FROM PICKLES ONLINE
BUYER BEWARE!!! If you are looking to buy online from Pickles Auctions. I would give Pickles vehicle description no credibility at all. I was the successful bidder a few weeks ago on a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport. The only note on the item was that the park brake was not working, On delivery we noticed the four wheel drive did not work and there were driveshaft bolts in the glove box ,Looked under the car only to find it had no front axles, no front driveshaft, and a completely seized front differential. I have been in discussion with Pickles and ...i am told they don't perform mechanical inspections on any of there vehicles that go to Auction so basically too bad and they are not liable in any way. We have now spent $2500 on Parts and 20-30 Hours labour to resolve these issues. This piece of Junk should have been in the DAMAGED Auction Pickles. BE VERY CAREFUL BUYING ANYTHING FROM PICKLES WITHOUT PRIOR INSPECTION.
Pickles Wagga- had some difficulties with a purchase of a car but was sorted out by head office later
I brought a car from Pickles Auction yesterday, the female car manager told me that the car did not need a blue slip because it just had ran out of rego and they had a pink slip for it and I could get it registered straight away. However after I purchased it and tried to get a Green slip, I couldn't as it needed a blue slip, I rang this female car manager at Pickles Auction Wagga and she said the pink slip had just ran out and I now needed a blue slip at my cost if I wanted to register the car. However, I made a complaint to head office of Pickles NSW and the head office staff offer a fair solution to the issue.
Zero Communication - Left Deposit & They Sold the Car on me Due to Their Own Failures
Very poor communication between Finance Section and the Cashier Department. They canceled the transaction on me as it fell outside the parameters of given time frame. No one ever contacted me telling me this information??? That's fine, if your team cannot get approval for finance within your own time frames, just advise me of your own incompetence and I would've paid cash the following day as I had the funds, not to mention the Broker already knowing this information. Don't give a 5 day time frame and expect to take 2 weeks given the special co...nsideration (ABN had not been over 2 years old). I walked in prepared to pay directly via bank check after I was notified, this was also after the broker had requested me to hand over to a third party software all my bank statements which required me to give them access to my Internet banking Login Username & PASSWORD (breach of confidentiality)??? and the car was gone? The sales service was half descent, but again, finance and Cashiers are 5 meters apart and are clueless at what they're doing, again 0 communication and terrible service on their behalf.
It’s either bad luck or deception.
Took two days for anyone to return my calls to organise freight and payment, Had it blue slipped needed all tyres replaced even after reported fair tyres, best bit is the car arrived, engine light on choking in white smoke. Not reported In condition report. (Complete mess absolutely horrible)
Questions & Answers
My daughter had her vehicle sold by Pickles at Tamworth on the 2nd July only to be advised a week later the buyer had freighted it to Sydney but had pulled out of the sale because of a mechanical issue.
She was told the sale had been withdrawn and she was now being charged for the costs of the buyer transporting the vehicle to Sydney and return.
Now she has been notified she has an accrued fee of $924 with an additional storage fee of $66 each day it remains in the Pickles yard which they have told her they would waive if she picked the vehicle up by 18th August.
What part of the terms and conditions am I missing? I understand if I buy it’s on an ‘as is, where is’ basis with no guarantee or warranty.
Why is my daughter being bullied with these stand over tactics?
Why do you keep moving the auction date forward? Frustrated spending so much time to find items, making time to be online to bid only to find out the auction time has been changed.
I bet on a car by mistake and I won the bet how to cancel that
Pickles CxPickles Auctions
Thanks for the question.
Under the terms and conditions of participation at auction(s) all sales are final and there is no ability to cancel a sale. If you do not proceed with the sale then you stand to forfeit any deposit paid and are likely to be banned from participating at any future auctions.
Did you contact the branch immediately, and if so, what was their response?
Please email me your response (along with a copy of your invoice) directly to email@example.com and I will review this for you.
