Aware Sensitive Laundry Powder
Ash BMelbourne
Does the job
I agree with many of the previous reviews. The product causes clumps to form in the front loader detergent drawer that can be quite solid. I just hope this does not clog the washing machine. Upon reading the instructions carefully, you are actually supposed to dissolve the powder in hot water first before adding to the washing machine.
I bought the product from one of the major supermarkets and it was priced quite reasonably compared to other brands. As for the quality of the wash itself, it was neither bad nor good. I suffer from eczema/contact dermatitis and fortunately had no reaction from the washed clothes; however, handling the powder on cracked, dry hands is not advisable.

Great environmental product!
Firstly the box is recyclable & is also made from 96% recycled content.
Good value for money as you only need 1 heaped teaspoon for a front loader.
I have had great cleaning results in warm & cold water. Removes light stains but admittedly I haven't washed heavy stains.
A huge plus is there are no harmful ingredients to humans or the planet in Aware - including naturally derived & renewably sourced ingredients.
They don't put a plastic scoop in each pack to avoid waste - big tick there :)

Great product and not itchy anymore
I have tried other sensitive skin washing powders and found I was still itchy. Planet ark one was on sale and I thought I would give it ago. I am so happy that I did, it washes your clothes well and I have a front loader machine. The most I use is 1/2 a scoop and most times I use far less. I am washing my sons school clothes he is 7 while I am typing this and I am using 1 teaspoon full. I used it today and it washed out blood stains. No need to use a stain remover or soak at all. Works well with both cold or warm water but does take a while to ...
Read moredissolve with cold water and most washing powders do. I have used it to hand wash, my hands do get red but not as bad as with other washing powders. I ran out of toilet bowl cleaner the other day, so I used a teaspoon of washing powder and gave it a good scrub with the toilet brush. Worked well might not waste my money on toilet cleaner anymore lol... Clean wash, only need a small ammount and will wash out blood with no pre treatment needed or soaking Does take a while to dissolve in cold waterFind out how Aware Sensitive Laundry Powder compares to other Laundry Detergents

Washes quite well for our needs, even with a baby and dried food stains which wash out well. No perfumes so we don't smell like laundry. Baby has eczema and his skin is not affected. Probably the most environmentally friendly detergent available.
Great for sensitive skin. Doesn't use optical brighteners which make clothes appear clean but builds up in the clothes. No smelling like laundry detergent when wearing clothes, just smell like sunshine! It is just as cheap as Omo which I used to use.
The powder often spills when opening a new box. Does...

Fantstic if you're environmentally conscious, have sensitive skin or are just trying to cut out chemicals in your everyday life. It works well enough but doesn't have the ompf of some of the more popular brands. Good for kid's clothes
I used this with my baby's cloth nappies and clothes. It is really gentle and great for sensitive/young skin. It has almost no fragrance and is genuinely eco friendly.
It doesn't get rid of stains very well. Is quite pricey though it does last a long time (especially as I only used it at half/quarter strength)

I use this product for my baby's cloth nappies and have found it great. She is sensitive to some products but has no problem with this powder. I use the recommended amount, though there is no measuring scoop provided, and have found it removes stains without soaking. A really great product and although more expensive than others, I am still using the first box I bought, which was months ago.
Environmentally friendly, great on baby's skin, small box fits nicely in the laundry.
A little more expensive than other products. No scoop, though mentioned on the box that this is to help the environment.

I like this washing powder as it is perfect for people with skin conditions or allergies that require a lot more sensitively made products. The washing powder is made by an environmentally friendly company which is an added bonus. It leaves your washing clean and does not leave any strong smells like some other products tend to do. While you will pay more for this product, I think that it is worth it as it will last a long time as you do not need to use a lot of it each wash.
Environmentally friendly, great for those with sensitive skins.
More expensive.

This is one of the better washing powders that you can use if you have people in your household that have sensitive skin or allergies. It is also good if you have a baby in the house. You can get away with using a bit less than the product advice on the package and your wash does come out pretty clean.
Great for people with sensitive skin. Comes in a good sized box.
This product is a lot more expensive than many other washing powders but it is more environmentally friendly and is specifically for those with allergies or sensitive skin.

I started purchasing this product because it was Cruelty Free and went with the sensitive choice as my husband is allergic to some washing powders. I'm not sure that it cleans as well as other more harsher chemically enhanced detergents but it does a good enough job for me - I'd prefer less chemicals than less stains. In saying that though it isn't noticably inferior. The product is reasonably available - Woolworths and some IGA stores seem to carry it. I like the added bonus that it is environmentally safe and feel a little more trusting of this as it is endorsed by Planet Ark. Happily recommend!
