Terrible
I was a member for 12 months at Pleasure cruising Club. My experience was mixed until I cancelled my membership and it all went down hill. I signed up for 12 months and spoke with the club in October 27 2016, they advised me that I would require to give written notice with 90 days - So I provided them with the notice in writing. They kept harassing me sending me invoices and trying to get me to agree to renew and I told them I couldn't agree to it and I would have to speak to my accountant to even considering signing on again. They kept harassi...
Read more ng me by Calling + texting + Emailing. I ended up cancelling my credit card so they could no longer charge me past January as my membership was finalising on 27th of January 2017. I have recieved numerous texts/emails/phone calls from the club in the past 24 hours and they have threatened to take me to the Magistrates Court and Federal Court and will "ruin me and bankrupt me". I am just a normal consumer and do not have millions of dollars to defend such action. This conduct is absolutely unconscionable and I would strongly recommend against anyone considering joining this unprofessional organisation.3 comments

We are pleased with today’s VCAT decision ruling that you are to pay all outstanding fees. We trust that you will honour the decision by an independent umpire.

What a disgrace
Trading as a club, club of Cowboys the lack of professionalism, the rip off of points, the uncontracted charges, as the other post says if they had a competitor they would be out of business. The clubs constitution claims a membership can only be a yearly contract and yet they try to sign you up for years and used stand over tactics and bullying to get you to pay. I had to instruct a commercial Lawyers to fend VCAT action against me for pulling out due to the non contracted charges they were trying to endorse. This included insurance upgrade sc...
Read moreams, loss of points (their point system) refuelling charges not contracted and charges for fuel not used. Not to mention the falsifying of signed contracts. The boats are not cleaned properly and lack of service when arriving to take your friends out is a disgrace and was totally embarrassing. I love boating, great concept but a bunch of cowboys running the show. [name removed] the show pony, handling of a situation that became legal was actually embarrassing with their legal legals having to drop all claims as I suspect his case would have been thrown out. My advise 'Stay clear. Cheaper chartering a boat every time you want to go out on the water.2 comments

Hello Mark and Jamie your behaviour as club members showed no integrity. If you recall you negotiated a great membership rate for 36 months and if you recall you wanted to walk away from your agreemen...
Read moret because it was not important as it was a "descresionary spend" . You mentioned that your business was in trouble and wanted to be released from your contract. you were quite happy to to use the club services until your business was going bad. Yes as a club we have the right under the consititution to bring in changes to stay afloat and introduce changes for the benefit of our members. Unfortunately the type of members we can attract the small minority look for an excuse to end their agreement and lack integrity and feel they can walk away from their obligation or want to bend the rules in their favour. You have given us the reason to make sure we persue those members through the courts if they feel they do not wish to honour their agreements and not to forgive and forget like we did for you and Jamie.Wow need I say anything else, your response could not have confirmed my review any better. Uncontracted fees, Court battles, no privacy, disgruntled members and bully tactics. Well done!!

Read moreers advised you to drop the case and for good reason, I am surprised that the members have now agreed for you to speak publicly on their behalf, on such a delicate issue without first getting legal advise.Other Cruises

AVOID. UNPROFESSIONAL. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
AVOID. UNPROFESSIONAL. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. The Pleasure Cruising Club owns Boat4Hire. Bought a groupon voucher to rent a self-drive boat and had a terrible experience. I had to wait over an hour when we arrived because no one was available. No apology given. When we explained to [Name Removed] that we had waited over an hour and we were in a rush he was unsympathetic. Instead he proceeded to take his time and continued patronisingly teaching his intern in front of us. Terribly run business, all the rest of the staff seemed just as unprofessional. The only helpful person that day which we dealt with was the intern. Would not recommend.

Don't give them your phone number!
I made the mistake of giving these guys my contact details, so I could view their pricing. Wow, what a mistake that was! They call me when I'm at the office, begging me to sign up, without even asking if I'm free to talk. They SMS me all the time, with no option to opt out. I can't stop them!
I've reported the illegal (spam) SMS messages to ACMA. Hopefully they'll fine these guys.
Harassing phone calls. Spam SMS messages. Expensive.
