Fake Profiles, feels unsafe
This is my 3rd day on POF.
I tried POF years ago, but don't remember it being this bad.
Most of the replies I have received have been from Escort girls & fake profiles.
Most of my time has been spent reporting these profiles to support & sending "Test" questions to those I'm interested in to see if they are real.
It's frustrating & disappointing to say the least and worst of all, it feels unsafe.
Every communication feels risky & im constantly concerned if I'm going to get hacked.
Hacked account, trolls and stupid support staff.
Avoid at all costs. Staff are either stupid or complicite in the scam. Account hacked and closed after 2 days. Dozens of trolls trying to get you to cam girl site. Staff say open new account and pay again. Yeah right as if. 8 months membership blown in 2 days. You will spend hours being trolled by dirty hooker skanks with fake pics.

Only scammers here probably the management supporting them!
Waste of money and time and beware only scammers on the site they will ask you to send your email first after they led you to the page where you have to use your cc and you will get ripped off!!!
total waste of time & effort for the average guy
200 profiles interacted with, only managed 2 got email or phone contact details, 80% will ghost you after exchanging 2 messages, 1 in 20 are polite to say you not really what im looking for good luck fishing ect.
There is a general rule 4 to 1 men to women on dating sites and women in general follow 80/20 rule ie 80% of women only find 20% of men average or better, using basic maths average guy has 1% chance of getting a date.
Running in Circles
I was told about this site through FB. I went to register, tried to continue as the box said, up comes box on the right-hand side saying User name or email, Don't click on it, if you do another box comes up saying, don't use email in User box, but it automatically does this anyway. So frustrating. When you go to HELP, about REGISTER, it says we use SMS text messages to send to your phone, but there is NO BOX to add your phone when registering, beats me how your suppose to receive texts if there's no box to record your phone number.
The only wa...y to receive HELP is when you log-in, but you can't get past Continue, it won't register your profile or User name nor p/w, you just keep going around in circles So frustrating I gave up, not worth getting angry over a site that doesn't provide anyway of contacting them, unless you sign in, and there's the rub, press continue to nowhere, they only send SMS to your phone that they haven't supplied a box to enter it
Scammers and hackers
Joined pof 2 weeks ago. Hit up by scammers bigtime. Last night my profile got hacked. After several emails and the threat of legal action i now have my money back. Pain on the butt as i had to go thru and change every password i have as they hacked my email as well. Dodgy site, avoid like the plague.
Money stolen from my account!
Pof just ripped my account for 51 dollars. This after I specifically turned off the auto renew settings in my profile. This site has become a joke! Tons of fake profiles and a total waste of time. And now $51 dollars out of my account because of stealing scumbags like this..
Unmitigated Rubbish - Worst Dating Site Ever
Just a complete and utter waste of time.
Doesn't matter how many questions you answer, it simply randomly matches you with peole your age, in your area. Brilliant! Must have spent years developing that algorithm.
You would get better matches by approaching random strangers on the train.
Scam Scam Scam
After I paid for membership and set up my profile, I immediately got scammers contacting me calling me Hon and babe, All fairly good looking women who said they liked my profile and pictures, yet none had actually looked at my profile (you can see who views you with paid membership). One of the main scams was trying to sweet talk me into a video chatting… Which I never fell for. This site may have been good in the past but it is now shockingly full of scammers
Do not join this Scam.
They took money from my c.c. unauthorized and it was a lengthy process to return it only after I mentioned legal action..
It appears many others are unhappy also about fake accounts.
Stay away from Plentry of fish... The whole site is a SCAM..STAY AWAY!!!!!
Stay away from Plentry of fish...it has so many fake profiles you're wasting your time. Don't pay to join..they will tell you all these profiles want to meet you but you have to pay to see them and when you do pay the subscription the women that they said wanted to meet you disappear. The whole site is a SCAM..STAY AWAY!!!!!
Scam site they use your profile to scam people
I opened an account / profile on this site. I upgraded my account for a fee, only to find that my account has been used to message people in an attempt to scam them,
I've been sent abusive responses from people and never once did I actually send those emails
I read the sent messages and see that there are dozens and dozens of sent messages all scamming
so in essence you pay for them to scam people
Stay away from this site!!!
Some nice girls. But!!
I've tried this site for a while now and have chatted to and on occasion met some lovely girls.
There are so so many fake female profiles.
The About me descriptions - almost verbatim on some.
Meet me - from girls which can only be generated by the POF system.
Meet me - from USA, Russia, Asia - seriously!!
The absolute tossers (yes that's some of us fellas) who ask for bed activity, bed activity preferences nudes pics or send manhood pics ruin it for the genuine ones. No wonder most girls (the majority) won't even reply to even a polite message.
POF seem to sit by and not police all this, happy to take users money and turn a blind eye.

Won’t refund membership after being scammed
I was scammed what I believed to be a POF email for a free video call. Some of their members are malicious. POF or ITunes won’t issue a membership refund. I have no confidence in this site!
Waste of time and money
Site is a joke 99 % of profiles a FAKE and non GENUINE minimum 2 month subscription is also a joke total B,S do yourself a favour DO not get conned or scammed into joining save your hard earned CASH.If I could give this site a minus rating it would be -10
You just got to know how it "works"
The first time i joined pof 2 years ago. I had no idea how it all worked. I was lame and timid in my messaging. Got no replys. Just got contacted by fakes ect. They easy to spot though. Block them immediately. Had a break for 12 months then got back on with a different "attitude". Firstly my new username was VERY suggestive. But kinda funny. And the chicks that did like it were the sort i was after...an easy hook up. I have had upwards of 10 hook ups. None ugly fat chicks either. You just have to be very polite, a little funny, know your target...and more than anything be creative in your messages. I very rarely say "hi" in a message. Just hit em with something direct like..."i noticed your fantastic red shoes. You wear them very well". On profiles where chicks write nothing try something like..."Gee Sarah you really gave me heaps to work with there lol...you like to make it hard dont you?" Bam!! The site does work....but we have to make it work lol. Its not easy. And i never paid a cent.
POF = Plenty of Fakes
At least 95% of female profiles here are fakes (scammers) or prostitutes. Paying a subscription was a complete waste of money. It will waste less time if you put your money in the trash than paying to subscribe here. This site, like many dating sites, makes no effort to implement any anti-scammer checks ... it’s purpose is solely to rip off money from lonely pathetic men.
