Wrist strap easily broken and no replacement
I love the watch, esp the FT7, eventually have few of them both male and female. a funnily after a few years both wristband snapped. when looking for replacement, Polar don't make them. The Chinese-made version is only for female size.
When it works...it's great!
Have owned this for a year and was initially very happy. Good data, memory, and waterproof. However the heart rate sensor eats batteries so fast and last month it just packed up altogether. I contacted Polar and they suggested it was the strap worn out which only has a lifespan of 6 months...or to send the whole lot off for repairs. This was quite an expensive purchase and I would expect it to last a lot longer than it has without needing repairs and replacements. (It is only used recreationally and has been well looked after.) did send it off for repairs as had proof of purchase date. Good service from polar team. All working now!
Received this for my birthday and love it was opting for the more expensive one but thought thisine was great value for the features it has
Whilst this isn't the most expensive hear rate monitor- I did expect at more than what I got.
I have found the connection between the monitor and the watch to drop out constantly and the last thing I want to be doing several times during a workout if rush to the bathroom to adjust the chest strap- being a chick this is something I cant do on the gym floor. I have tried trouble shooting and still did not fix problem - was replaced under warrantyand second unit was just as bad. I have since placed it back in the box in the back of the cupboard.
Nice pink colour watch

Know better, choose better.
A good reliable product with a couple of negligible flaws.
The watch is simple to use and detects the heart rate transmitter within seconds consistently. The display of data during a workout is clear and concise. The display of data in the training history is also well managed. All in all a good product that does what it claims to. A couple of minor annoyances but nothing that affects its functionality, except perhaps the dim screen.
Reliable, lightweight transmitter, comfortable adjustable chest strap, simple menu interface.
Screen on the red & black model was too dim. Chest strap clip is feeble and difficult to attach. Buttons don't always respond, need to be pressed firmly.
