Cool!
We purchased the 6.0kW model the other week and we are happy with its performance, it really does a good job at cooling down the room(s). Will be very much appreciated when those high temps really hit!
We use it for the bedrooms and yes, its alot more noise than we are used to when the compressor is going, I would liken the noise level to maybe the noise level of a pool pump when it starts up, in saying that, when it reaches your desired temp, the fan cuts in when on automatic mode and the noise from the compressor stops.

Polocool PC-53A
Not easy are salesperson said to install & run.
1. Door extension not sealing even with 2 rolls of foam around door. (Ordered a made-to-measure perspec panel & taped it in.
2.Hose keeps falling out - Duct taped it in.
3. Noise level - can't hear tv - bought Wifi Headphones
4. Cost to run - Extra $100 per quarter Sept-Dec (but haven't got thru summer yet!)
so $1000+ later I have a portable Air Con. That does cool even with GC humidity
Hopefully it will cool my three bedroom house ,
I bought a polo cool p/c -53AP/ my living area kitchen dinning and lounge room are a open plan will one polo cool be enough. I have tried other brands that have not been able to cool my living area. I have read the reviews and have come to the conclusion that polo cool seem to be the unit I have been after . Hopefully

Know better, choose better.
Would recommend this machine
We used to have a Delongi portable air, until it failed completely after only two years. The polo cool is reliable, and cools our 4m X 3m room quickly on very hot days. It's a lot quieter than the Delongi too. Would certainly recommend to friends and family. Keep cool!
Quiet and efficient cooling
Not much. Could design connection of exhaust a bit better.

I was surprised
Renting a weatherboard house in QLD is the pits in summer. Thank goodness for the polo cool. It cools the lounge, dining and kitchen as good as a split and I can't complain about the performance. However, I thought i'd buy 2 units to cool the hallway leading to the bedrooms but using both together trips the safety switch. Also it's too loud for bedrooms but much quieter than some of the other brands available. The window kit is very easy too use. Be wary of price differences between stores. I bought from Harvey Norman and they dropped their pri...
Read morece from $1299 to $899. I'm sure you can get a better price but I needed to buy the unit that particular day. I'd highly recommend this unit. If it was a little quieter i'd give it 5 stars. Cools a large area. Very happy with performance Too loud for bedroom.7 comments
I just bought one of these today & it gets delivered tomorrow so haven't tested it yet (will comment when tested). I got it at Harvey Norman at Kawana Waters (Sunshine Coast, QLD) for $850 + $45 deliv...
Read moreery (advertised at $1295) & they threw in an extra 4 years warranty taking it to 6 years total! Haggle; they are very responsive to price matching.I bought mine form Harvey Norman MacGregor, QLD. That was a good deal, Coolview. I was in desperate need for mine on that day as I have 2 kids under 3 years and they were uncomfortable with the heat. ...

Extremely Happy with it's performance
I was originally going to buy a Dimplex unit but after hearing the the Dimplex and PoloCool operating side by side in the showroom I was sold on the PoloCool as it was significantly quieter in operation. It is also nearly maintenance free with no water container to fill or empty unless you use it in dehumidify mode where you will then need to drain the water.
It has performed above and beyond my expectations for a Portable Unit and does an excellent job at cooling down the office/study and main bedroom (18 and 25sqm) to 22 degrees while out...
Read moreside is 30+. I haven't tried the unit in the loungeroom as there is a split system in the living areas but I am confident it can cool closed rooms up to 39msq as it claims. The included window kit is basic and will fit windows up to 1200mm, I ended up buying a roll of foam weather strip to put on either side of it as it doesn't do a good job of sealing the window on it's own and I had to drill a hole and fit a screw to suit my windows. The unit is on the larger side for the portable unit's and takes a little bit of effort to push on carpet but is still ok to maneuver. The instruction manual is comprehensive and clearly explains installation, operation and variables that will effect it's efficiency. Having said that the unit is quieter than some other models it is still a bit too loud to sleep with in the bedroom. I was a bit apprehensive at first due to not knowing the brand but got the warranty extended up to 5yrs and a very significant discount on the ticket price, shop around as you can get a considerable chunk slashed off these units which makes it very competitive against the smaller units considering it's size. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase of this unit and would have given it 5 stars if it was a touch quieter. Cools small rooms quickly, quieter than alot of other models, has a swing function on the air outlet, remote control, 2yr factory warranty, window kit included, no water containers to fill or empty, can be purchased for the same (if not less) price as smaller units if you haggle/shop around Even though it's quieter than alot of other models it's still on the loud side for the bedroom3 comments
Hi, did you pay cash for the unit? What did you end up paying for it. Thanks
I just bought one of these units from Harvey Norman logan home was marked $1295 told the guy seen it for $850 - $900 on reviews from their website. Guy walked away came back and offered me $900 and 5 yr warranty for $159

Details
Features:
- There are three models: the PC-35AP/C, which cools rooms up to 20sqm, the PC-44BP/C, for rooms up to 30sqm, and the PC58AP/C, suitable for larger rooms up to 42 sqm.
- Comes with an included window kit, that suits all window types and sliding doors. It’s meant to make for easier installation, but you can also purchase a ceiling/wall exhaust if this is more practicable.
- According to Polocool, the water tank never needs to be emptied, even when a room is high in humidity. This may be helped in part by the built-in dehumidifier.
- Included timer allows for easy set-and-forget functionality.
Overall, reviewers appreciated that the Polocool PC AC models were quiet in operation, that they usually only had to be emptied out once at the end of summer, and perhaps most importantly of all – that they produce crisp, cold air that kept a room comfortable, no matter how high the barometer rose outside.
