10 kg of granular chlorine wad just over $100, when the same can be bought from Big W for about $60. I don't think I'll be back to Poolwerx - my wife thinks poorly of my poor rip-off sensing skills as it is!
the best algeacide and chemical cleansers
I use 1 bottle of each its now 15 shades lighter
Algeacide worked a lot better,
Even scraping off the bottom of the pool still a fair bit of work still to do before swimming
OUTRAGEOUS PRICING FOR CHEMICALS
My son just purchased 2kg of pool stabiliser at POOLWERX Kenmore. I am staggered to advise the cost was $39.70. The exact same product is $17 at any Bunnings and never more than $20 elsewhere. How does this franchise justify ripping off consumers in this way ?
Excellent Service - PoolWerx Toukley
I started using PoolWerx in Toukley over the last several months and I couldn't be happier. Friendly, honest couple. They don't try and sell me a heap of chemicals I don't need and I save money buying there. Will keep going back.
Poor Customer Service
I have been dealing with Poolwerx Keppera for almost two years. I should say the service/advise that I have received so far is reasonable. In Sep this year, upon my request online the owner of Poolwrex Keppera visited my house for a robotic cleaner demo and also provided me a quote for the pool blanket and roller (quote included installation charge). I haven't proceeded with that quote as I wanted a better deal. They advertised the pool blanket and roller 'Black Friday' sale for which I requested for a quote. This quote was exactly same as...the previous one even though they reduced the price in the blanket and roller. I went to the store to check about this and the person attended me said they have increased the installation cost (apparently more than double!!) in two months it seems. The installation cost in first quote was $150.0 whereas the Black Friday offer was $375.0 After talking to them for 15 mins Steve told me that they are busy with Xmas work but If I make the purchase now, as the very first purchase of the 'Black Friday Sale' they will prioritise and do the installation as soon as the order arrives. He also asked me to call them to confirm the installation immediately after the product delivery. The roller has arrived yesterday and I called Poolwrex immediately to arrange for installation. To my surprise Steve has taken a complete U-turn and told me that I neither booked for installation nor talked about it while purchasing and they can't do it until new year. They are very adamant and not even ready to talk!! Thanks guys, I'll not visit your shop again!!

Great service from the Turramurra Poolwerx store
I'm new in the area and needed to replace pumps, filter and the works. Appreciating that it is a very busy time of the year Malcolm and the team pulled out the stops to sort me out. Got daily reports and was very happy with all aspects of the work . Thanks guys and will certainly use you again.
Ripped Off by Leigh at Cranbourne
Had Leigh come out from Cranbourne Poolwerx .After cleaning my pool he advised me that I required some new parts .After paying homage nearly $1000
Ive never seen him again .he dropped off some parts at my work however they were damaged and incorrect even though he promised to return to fit the parts at my home.Very disappointed considering how much I paid . I have purchased the correct parts from eBay for less than a third of the price he charged for the faulty and incorrect parts .Buyer Beware this person doesnt deserve to be roaming around impersonating a business.
Business model is about gouging for profit
Been through several franchise owners at their Beenleigh store. Generally been good to deal with in the past but in recent times they have dropped the ball. I "won" a pool review in one of their competitions - this entitled us to a written report. The guy turned up and said everything was fine but we didn't get the report. We then had a problem with our filter. Their solution was to sell us some filter cleaning product. What was actually needed was to replace the filter. So I asked if they could come and check out our pool system and try to con...solidate the controls to update them. They were going to provide a new filter at the same time but they called me to say the filters were not available (anywhere in Australia) and that they had one in store and it would cost $200. I had previously paid $50-$70 for filters. I called a couple of other pool supply people and got 2 filters delivered for $70 in total. I called them back and told them to "pull the other one" This was deceptive and frankly just plain crap. They still turned up - took some photos and have not heard from them since...maybe we're not as stupid as they thought we were? Really poor customer service in a competitive market - find a better supplier!
Pool service standard
Poolwerx Eltham were great in getting my pool clean.
They Came assessed and supplied a new vacuum cleaner and came over 5 times to ensure the pool was clean and that all was working well.
Worst service ever. The do not know what customer service is.
Our Spa came up with an error and they came out to fix. sent heater and display to be repaired. I called them 4 days after they advised the the price. I was told the manager was on leave for a week and he wanted to fit it back himself and i would have to wait a week.
Advised them not good enough and was told Friday they will fit. Got SMS saying the fitter is unwell and won't fit on Friday. The name from the sms was the managers name. The same person who was on leave for the week.
Called and left message and no one called back.
Dont just not use them but run as fast as far as you can away from them.
Asked a question on a Sunday, problem solved using what’s app, absolutely amazing!
My pool cleaner has been lacking power and I rang one pool place three times, got a price, awaited a call and that call never came.
I messaged poolwerx castle hill on Sunday afternoon after spending hours trying to get it going. Within 15 minutes i had a call from Tim who asked me what was wrong, setup a what’s app account so I could send photos and had a diagnosis within 20 minutes.
Tim offered me a great option to solve my problem without the spending the several hundred dollars the other well known pool shop wanted to charge, and unbelieva...bly the pool is now cleaning perfectly, and with a minimal spend. I cannot recommend Tim and his company highly enough, absolutely the best service I have received anywhere for a very long time, well done!
Cost effective and reliable products and service.
We use pool most days through October- March. Kids love it!
The pool is older but is easy to maintain with the help of Poolwerx Mt Eliza. I have had equipment fail but Poolwerx helped me sort it out. I’m a very happy customer. And they don’t push huge amounts of chemicals like other pool shops I’ve been to in the past.

Poolwerx, Windsor Road, Castle hill are great
I have a new pool and the team at Poolwerx on Windsor Rd Castle Hill have been amazing in assisting me in getting up to speed with everything I need to know about maintaining a pool. They are fast in testing the pool water and have given me some great tips. I recently broke the pressure valve on my filter and they managed to get a replacement in two days with no additional shipping or handling charges. Keep up the good work.
Turramurra Poolwerx - now continuing as a long term customer
I have been a customer of Poolwerx (Turramurra & Killara) for many years. I have purchased from them major items including a filter, a salt water chlorinator (two) and a pump and of course numerous chemicals. However, after a discussion today with Malcolm Price of Poolwerx I realise there was a misunderstanding tin relation to a $87.00 for a "Call out Fee" for a quote for a pool heater.
Were 30min late to the time I was given with no call to let me know and then the staff member sat in his van for 25min until I went out to talk to him and ask why he hadn’t come in. Contacted the manager who didn’t seem too concerned at all. Disappointing
Don't ever go to Poolwerx, worst service ever!!
I went in to test my pool water and from the very start, the elderly man who served us, didn't want to be of any help. He did the test using a strip, not through the computer, and when he pulled out the strip, he said we needed a product, which showed that he just wanted our money and didn't want to provide a good service. We asked to do it through the computer so we could get a more detailed report which he wasn't happy about. He then told us what the levels were, so we asked for a print out, which he didn't want to provide at first, but event...ually did. We asked questions about the results and our pool system to get a better understanding, and his reply to most of our questions was "I don't know," or "I can't help you with that." Each time, he got more and more annoyed and started raising his voice. This is when we left the store and he said pointing at the product, "are you going to buy this?" We said no and carried on walking to our car. As we tried to close the car door, he held it open and demanded the report, which we refused to return as it is part of the pool testing service. He then said, "you were being disrespectful," and started swearing at us. We took a picture of the report and returned it to him and he walked off. Then, he walked into the back of the car and claimed to be run over. We got out the car to see him on the ground shouting, "call an ambuance." We replied with, "what proof do you have? There's secuirty cameras here showing that we did nothing and you walked into the car and fell yourself." He got up and realised how much of an idiot he was and went back into the store. At the end of the day, all he was interested in, was selling his products and taking our money, he didn't care about delivering a good service. He didn't want to provide us with a full pool testing service and do it through his computer. If he's worried about it costing him, then testing pool water shouldn't be a free service. This man clearly has some sort of mental issue and needs immediate help. We have some video footage as proof, and I'm sure there's a way you can access the CCTV footage at the store or nearby stores if required.
Excellent customer service
We visited Pool Werx Shailer park recently and were provided with the best advise about our pool by a lady who certainly knew her pool products. Great to see it is not always about the sale, although we didn't leave empty handed and certainly will go back again.
Sudden disappointment after good experiences
I have several years of good experience with Poolwerx. Their phone service is good, their availability is fast and although they are not the cheapest in town, they deliver. The most recent experience with them however, spoiled it all. My pump started making noise after I had been vacuuming and i called them. They took the pump and phoned me it would be between 450 to 500 $ to repair but the pump was worth it. Would bring it back in two days. Ignorant as I am i asked them to proceed. Just have to trust them on the findings. Next day same call, a...ppeared they had not opened the pump yet, so how could they make that quote ? Pump would still be back day after. Waited the next day for pump to be imstalled. They did not show up. Phoned. Promised they would come next day. Did not show up. Then was weekend and I called them monday. Person on the phone said did not know where the pump was maybe in warehouse ? I decided to buy a new pump and have it installed as my pool had turned green at Perths 35 degrees and found out that the pump in repair would be 670$ brand new. Next day phone call from Poolworx that pump could be placed back next day. Told them it was not necessary anymore. Poolwerx cost me 140$ to get another company sorting out the green pool and I did not get my pump back, they just kept it. Is that allowed at all ? It is still my pump they had in theircwarehouse.
Vacation Service = Green Pool (but the 1 star review is for the service received after asking them to make it right)
Used vacation service, came home to cloudy green pool + algae growing within 72 hours of their last "service". Their response was to blame warm days and then me for not adding chlorine (AFTER I returned from vacation!). No apology and won't address the problem. I don't recommend entrusting your pool to them.
Worst customer service I’ve ever encountered
This business could possibly take Olympic gold for worst customer service. 40 minutes to book an appointment during which I had to give my name 4 times and they still didn’t show up. Next appointment which I booked for first thing in the morning so they wouldn’t be late and they showed up 17 mi utes late and got quite rude and defensive when I explained that I was already late for work.

Has any of the unhappy people using Poolwerx got satisfaction from them. It seems that it is a standard message sent out from the head office and that is about it.
