Cold Water over our head and PD wrote to say "aggression"!
I got my key more than one year now, 90% of registered warranty and service has never been attended. Last night the hot water system suddenly shut while my little boy and I were taking a shower. We had full of soaps and cold water suddenly pull over our head. My son has just been recovered from a flu. He was crying, I was crying to call RACV emergency.I then wrote to PD to tell them how hopeless we were.
This morning I got a reply from LiXXXXX.
"its possible the pilot light just went out?
I am sorry, but the aggression in your emails is truly ... Read morenot needed! " I just want to ask PD, think about if you have a home like this, are you going to be happy? are you going to be annoyed? are you going to be mad? PS: I asked some of the neighbours and people living around, nobody had such issues last night!

We have just finished admin stage , pre construction we can’t complainOur Building coordinator has been excellent in keeping us up to date with emails and calls.
Any questions we had were answered straight away , worked well with our broker to finalise documents through out the process ,
We are now looking forward to the construction phase and feel at ease with our building coordinator, we hope everyone has as good a process as we’ve had,

More Defects Built In !!!
I am writing this review after waiting for almost 2 years after moving in and still waiting to get the defects fixed. There are still Blue Tapes on various spots identified as defects but no resolution. we understand that there were lockdowns due to pandemic but 2 YEARS !!! to fix defects. If they are still building new homes then why cant they fix defects. Cheap paintwork , chipped off doors and wrong paint colour to internal doors just to name a few. We have moved in the new house last May and soon found out few problems, tried to contact them and submitted the service claims on their home service protal on 10/21, the problems still not solved after 7 months , and they did not even respond my email now . Took occupancy of our Porter Davis townhouse in September 2021 and followed their instructions with reference to lodging defects under their 90 Day Warranty Claims.Currently we have registered 27 defect issues and to date not one has been actioned.
The New Home Care 90 Day Maintenance department are impossible to contact to get updates on progress of claims.
Very frustrating and causing us great angst!

Disgusting customer service! After initial consultation with a "sales" person at a display home in Brisbane's Western suburbs, we were told we would have a quote in 3 days. We emailed her weekly for 4 weeks asking for our quote, with each time saying we would have it by the end of the day. (After 2 weeks we figured we were just a number with Porter Davis and found another builder). Finally after 4 weeks we were told that they couldn't build the house we wanted on our block because it wasn't a new subdivision, but tried selling us a more expensi... Reported issue with the shower screen door has broken sealing on March 2021. Slab poured on November/2021 for Toorak 58 in a Western suburb. Still frame not started, they don't even know when its going to happen. Majority of the time co-ordinator in the office do not answer the phone calls, even response for the email takes weeks. Still we are awaiting for a reply for an email sent over 4 weeks ago.. Site supervisor doesn't know the answer for the timber issue. Its been over four(4) months now, no one take responsibility. Total negligence in every sort of aspect so far except sales. It is with great disappointment that I use this avenue to express my feelings to representatives at Porter Davis. We have been in the process of designing and selecting features for our home for 10 months now, it has been a tedious process that has taken a part of our soul away, created anxiety and stress that is reflected in our day to day life. Every meeting, phone conversation and email is like a tug of war where we are at odds with the consultants as they fail to comprehend our selections and dismiss any wrongdoing on their part. It has become ever so clear that consultants are taking advantage of verbal interactions that is not documented so that they are able to deny claims they have previously made regarding prices and selections during the contract meeting and world of style meetings and have defended themselves by continuously suggesting that we are "misinterpreting" and "misunderstanding" what has been discussed during these meetings which is really disheartening and unprofessional on many levels. This leads me to highlight the level of misinformation that exists in which consultants have engaged in conduct that is misleading and deceiving as I recommend new customers record the conversations in these meetings so as to avoid any form of "misunderstanding". Will rate 0 stars but the option is not there.Not our first home that we have build so we have some idea. We decided to go ahead and build the display house at Newport. Based on the information we received from the sales person we decided to proceed. When we arrived to our colour choice appointment we discovered that 2 of our biggest upgrades are completely wrong and not the same as the display.

Personal experience with PD QLD. If I had my time again I WOULD NOT BUILD with this company. Our build commenced in May 2021 and is not expected to be completed until the end of May/June this year. We were extremely understanding of industry-wide delays and accepted months of these however, a complete lack of communication from all levels within the company, inability to manage trades/contractors and ongoing mismanagement of our project has led to our building exceeding a year. I have recently bought a land on which I was so eager to get a Porter Davis home as I heard good reviews about it. But the sales agent who I got stuck with never responded which plan they could build on the land. Neither did he offer any meeting slot. I sent him an email containing engineering and the plan of subdivision as he asked, 3 calls and a few messages but didn't get a proper response. We built savoy40 with PD and had our handover in early Dec 21. Despite lockdowns/ covid restrictions the construction was completed in 10 months. Our site supervisor changed 3 times but we’re so lucky we got [Name Removed] as our last supervisor and he was looking after our house as he would do his own house. [Name Removed] made the whole process a lot easier for us and made sure all of our concerns were chased up/ rectified. we had a few hiccups but thanks to our amazing SS they were all well managed. It’s been 4 years they trying to fix leakage from void panels and still not done.We went with most expensive home of theirs
Waldorf Grange this is what we get with all upgrades.
We forwarded this to home care team after a week of moving into the property which was in July 2017 and they send some tradesman to put silicone after every 6 months. I have tried to contact them so many times and they themselves don’t know what the issue is. Now all 3 panels in void are leaking.
Never go with them wrost in business.
If anyone could guide us with what can I do please let me know.

Cheating the customers and dodging : Have not installed the rain water drain pits
My house yard got flooded from the rain. Finally I found out that there are no drain pits installed as per the plan. The builder failed to show me the original drains instead passed the ball to me saying that they can't take the responsibility after the house handover (I do understand that It's my mistake not checking the drains pits at the handover, however, these are obvious essential features of a house). I directly contacted the builder's plumber and ask him if he could show me the drains. instead showing me the original drains he installed... However, now I have drains but I had to spend about $3,000 to fix the damages due to flood. further, This flooding water was so concerning as there was a new born baby in the property and we were worrying about lots of health issues such as mosquitos , bad smell ect. therefore I got no option but sorting out this issue by myself rather dealing with this dodgy builder . Terrible Service, Too much stress in follow ups and low quality workmanship, false promises always
Workmanship I will give 0 start if I can, worst paint and plaster job for a Prestige home with contract of $700K. Finishes 0 start, lots of promises to fix all and here I am after 9 months of hand over and writing this review to let others know to be very careful choosing your builder. I don't think there is any after hand over service structure here at all. The workmanship is very bad!! Few months after moving in, we reported water leak from kitchen ceiling.Three months after the report has been provided to them, still the leak issue is not yet rectified. We didn't find anything special from PD reputed builder ,comperatively pricy for reputation but service as ordinary as others. We have highlighted window in 2 bedrooms no one mentioned during contract or tender ,once we find out too late . So we have dark room but we could have bright and sunny room . My recommendation check your design and drawing again and again don't expect anyone care about you :(However My site manager was very responsive , He helps to fix numerous issues and poor workmanship from contractors and always

We are still in building stage with PD, but overall experience is a disaster. Our building coordinators were changed 3 times during tender stage, and the construction superior already changed once after 2 months since building started. The 2nd BC was shocking. She only replies to us after 72 hours, which means we can't even chase up because it was less than 72 hours. Of course, even we desperately chase up by multiple emails and phone calls, it was a black hole. It takes weeks to get things updated in our tender documents. Don't even mention the mistakes. And the progress of our build is extremely slow, just comparing our build progress with all the other build in my neighborhood. Overall experience was a night mare from first inspection to hand over continuing on for a period of five years. I maintained a log of events and photographs of the entire experience. We built the Plaza 49 from their prestige range.Building our forever dream home and chose Porter Davis. MISTAKE.
Had issues all along the build (they where rectified) but not if we hadn't bought it to their attention.
Once complete had ongoing leaks in 3 different locations causing water to get inside the house, issues that where finally resolved.
Our floors we chose are lifting and totally a disgrace. Supposedly if you get some water or moisture on them its an issue, funny that's what I thought can get on the floors.

This was the very bad decision to build the house with Porter Davis. I choose this builder and pay extra to do hassle free building but I regret my decision to go with them and paid high amount to build very bad quality house. They are still fixing up stuff which should be fix straight away. First they was taking advantage of COVID and now for some stuff they are saying it’s out of warranty. Which is completely their fault to take this long to fix the stuff which was not working and now it’s goes out of warranty. Customer service of Poster Davis is completely horrible they don’t listen you at all once all invoices are cleared. Slowly but surely taking shape
I am building with Porter Davis and I wrote my first review in September 2021. I was very impressed with the pre-build process. I had planned to write a review every three months but it has been slow progress with building material and labour shortage, and the COVID in the community causing delays.The frame is now completed and wrapped, ready for brickwork. We are a first home builder and I couldn’t express in words how I regret building with Porter Davis it’s the worst experience the amount of mental agony and torture they give you is really unbearable. 1. Presales Phase - New Home ConfirmationWe shortlisted 2 major volume builders and chosen the best floor plan. Compared the cost associated with each builder and chosen the Porter Davis because of its floor plan which suits our block and our requirements.
2. Tender Phase
The tender process was happening in March 2020 at the start of the pandemic; therefore the presentation was done over Zoom (virtual) meeting. Since the start of the tender phase, we have had 4 building coordinators. The first 3 BC were good at chasing payments from us but not... Read more providing detailed information or regular updates in the progress of the permits applications. 3. World of Style Phase The world of style appointments was done onsite, we have had good experience with the consultants, but they kept withholding the information pending contract signing. However, the Argus Electrical team didn’t provide enough information in relation to the solar panel systems, solar hot water systems, even until now. e.g. i. What systems would be installed, ii. How the solar panel systems supposed to work, switching over between grid and solar panel, iii. How the solar water systems supposed to work, switching over between grid and solar panel (or gas?). iv. What’s the warranty to all the above systems? 4. Contract Phase The Contract appointment was done over Zoom (virtual) meeting too. Between contract and start of construction there were 8 months delay before the construction started in 9th March 2021. There was not much communication from BC regarding the progress of the building permits or start of construction. Only after escalation to the Operation Manager [Name Removed], there were progress in finalising the building permits. [Name Removed] was a great help, without his help the construction would not have started in March 2021. It required quite an effort to find out the manager to escalate this matter. Finally, the construction started in 9th March 2021, after 8 months delay from the Contract signing date. The contract doesn’t have any penalties to PD for late start of the construction but penalties if we would delay the permits applications which is very biased to PD’s advantages. 5. Construction Phase The construction phase started and going smoothly until now (reached Lock-up stage at the time of this writing). The latest building coordinator [Name Removed] are proactive and responsive in providing information/updates. Similarly, the building supervisor [Name Removed] has been very friendly and responsive in answering our queries and is doing great work in progressing and providing updates about the construction. So far, we are very happy with their excellent works. We are very happy with the quality works of the tradesmen too for these stages: i. Base Stage. ii. Frame Stage. iii. Lock-up Stage. Continuation of previous comment please ignore my grammar. It was over a month now when I posted my comment here but no one come to fix roof leaking issue and which is leaking since 5 Jan 2021 and buckets still inside the roof .I know that they will give excuse of lockdown but there was no such restrictions at that time. I have chosen post handover timber flooring so I put appliances on hold and I informed them 10 days prior to move in but appliances were not installed so we did our cooking in alfresco for a week. In addition I request them approx 7 months ago to put instant hot water system on the wall instead of water tank which is obstacle for backyard access but they didn’t send anybody to fix it and there are many more defects which I am still waiting from 6-7 months . There are couple of more things such as render area, tiles not as per I chosen because fault of incompetent staff at color appointment. I would not recommend to build with Porter Davis definitely this company will ruin your dream house. Our building coordinator has also been very helpful with assisting us with documents and online procedures and keeping us in the loop with information. She has been able to answer lots of questions and gets back to us promptly. Our site supervisor we still, unfortunately, haven't met yet which is a shame as we hear others regularly meet with theirs throughout their builds and even through current Victorian restrictions. In saying this, he has been prompt with information and has been doing a good job on site but hasn't been very proactive with involving us with the build and doesn't tend to give much detail about the build and what's happening. So I will try to be brief as much as I canThe sales process was great, salesman was really helpful, prices were good for any custom changes, we liked the designs.
The Design and selection process was OK, lack of options but bearable.
The nightmare started with build commencement. The coordinator failed to contact me until the slab was in after some month and half, that again I had to reach out what is going on. I was given a number for a supervisor who never picked up my calls and same with the coordinator.

Lack of response, continues emails and occasional threat to write what I am through in review yielded some results but nothing that would alleviate our problems. Now I tend to think I am a reasonable person and try to give everyone benefit of doubt but boy o boy they have tested my patience and I have finally given up and writing a review even though I have things that need to be fixed after 7 months of hand over. Anyways coming back to the story of our build, we were building a reasonably big house with a price tag of $630K, the build started, slab was poured, the structure went up in first couple of months and then the work stopped, for a whole 3 months nothing happened on the house. The reason given was the old building supervisor was not up to task and was fired and the new building supervisor is going through everything making sure everything is up to standards and things are getting fixed and then we will proceed. Give it another month of so for nothing happening and then finally rest of the things start coming in. The supervisor started giving us some handover dates, which I was happy with but they never materialized and in November 2020 we took the handover with a long list of things to be fixed post handover. Some of those things were eventually fixed in about 2 to 3 months and some with then 90 days warranty period and there are few which are still ongoing and we are in July 2021. No body seems to take ownership and honestly I can't reach easily to someone who I can complaint to. The paint and render quality was abyssal when the house was handed over and it was suppose to be fixed in a month; however 7 months later they said a guy to paint a couple of walls and all the damage and other poor workmanship won't be fixed. No one seems to take the ownership of the work to be done and I am honestly looking into my legal options now. In a nutshell, I built with Metricon a few years and I thought they were bad but after working with Porter Davis, I think Metricon were brilliant, there was always someone I could talk to and get my issues fixed. I have just completed a townhouse and were very dissapointed with the expectations presented to us compared to the quality and finish of the build.We chose this builder for their good reputation from friends in previous years, however it is just not good enough.
Not only at a basic level was the house not cleaned properly for inspection, but there was glaring problems on the paint inside and out, messy finishes, cracks, outside rendering not uniform , holes in rendering and weatherboard and many more.

These pictures were taken on the inspection day as we walked through the house for the first time, followed by pressure to settle 2 days later. We are building our first home with Porter Davis. They have some great floor plans. Build quality is excellent. The only thing I am not happy about is the time it took for them to finish their admin work before starting the build process. Some of our neighbours who bought the land after me were halfway through their build when we started. But things got better once the build started. It's been 4 months and it's almost finished. Our SS addressed most of the issues identified in the independent inspection report. Nothing major though. They have a web portal where you can see the progress of the build and see photos and all the documents in a single place for convenience. And when you try to reach them they will ask you to put that on their portal. And after that still you have to chase them. Porter Davis’ sub-standard building
PD cant work out why my wall makes creaking noises on windy despite, them making several visits to my home. There doesnt seem to be any solution in sight after enduring this annoying problem for 2 years now. Its a very disappointing outcome to say the least. On top of all that they are taking their time to attend resolve other way overdue issues with the house. Please go with other builders & stay clear of this builder. Here it goes, basically just don’t do it as Porter Davis do not happily respect the dream as they say instead, they take your money, run and will not turn back. Issues ranging from wobbly glass 4mm put into slide doors instead of 6mm ( cut corners) Gaps in my roof where there was a stray cat, oh yep I got told to go and fix it myself with chicken wire a week after I gave birth to my second child! No worries they even left it at my front door.. pathetic. Wobbly windows in my rumpus room, PD turned a blind eye and would not help me it took me 3 y... I had it fixed from the window supplier after going straight to the top of the chain and well what do you know? It got fixed myself no help from your “Home Care”. PD cut corners to save money but charged us more when they had fitted 4mm of toughened glass where it wasn’t toughened and should of been 6mm. I got the job done. Next set of issues, chalky tiles in ensuite shower the incorrect grout was used as it has now spread to through the stone feature tiles, cracks in the niche and mould due to water getting in, tiles not cut evenly. This has been brought up multiple times they have ignored it and would not send a supervisor out to check it out. It took 6 months when I put up another fight then had the audacity to tell me it’s the products I’m using that has made it like that. Ok PD when I’m in the shower I rub myself onto all of my tiles in my shower with body soap all over my body to ruin my tiles is that right? Or I shower and wash myself and the tiles with acid basically. Not a wise or smart response. Talk about being a bunch of womanisers and at the same time attempted to belittle me, nice try! There is a leak in my second shower which has now gone through my flooring as they have left the issue too long. They had sent out a plumber where they said there is a leak then a water proofer saving there is no leak well well here we go again. After PD cut a lovely hole in my wall to check the leak.. dry as a bone, another issue to fix now by patching up my wall. As you can read nothing is easy going with this mob they don’t help you and will put the blame back onto you so you have to pay for it and fix it yourself as their incompetent workers cannot go the job properly the first time and PD know it unfortunately. The build was well managed from the start to finish. From the sale at the display homes, through the design process at World of Style and the build phase to hand-over was enjoyable. Our building coordinator behind the scenes did mostly a great job.Our site supervisor was good. The build quality seems great and any issues throughout were rectified to ours, and our inspectors, satisfaction.
The final cost was exactly what we were anticipating.
**Update as of 2 years after the build. 90% of defects are yet to rectified with absolutely zero communication. Once this company gets your money it appears as though they no longer care about you or their obligation to fixing their mistakes in your home** Show details

Porter Davis has taken more than 6months to complete their 90 days claims for my home that I had moved in Aug 2021.NO replies for my email from supervisors and no calls or call backs.
Customer service representative said that they do not reply for the emails as they are busy and was clearly saying that she cannot do anything about how I feel about the situation
