surprised at peoples comments
I'm surprised at peoples comments as I only have praise for Procycles horsnby
Fernando was great ( from the sale of my 2017 s1000r till now, selling to my best mate )
Anthony is honest and direct ( I can understand 'ponsy boys' would possibly have issue with him as he doesn't say what they want to hear )
Mark is very helpful ( polite and has always saved me money and steered me toward the best choices )
I'm a very fussy customer but I'm also very aware that when people are working I don't try to act like a prince and bust everyones chops and put them offside !!!
Completely lied to and screwed over
Picked a bike, went through the full process of finance including approval, made a time and date to buy the bike , guarantees from the shop , told me I didn’t need the deposit, and 2 days before pick up got the briefest email to say they accidentally sold the bike. All this After I got finance. So I now have a personal loan and nothing to show for it.
Called to discuss but basically ‘told it is what it is’?
Couldn’t of been a worse experience and has cost me significant money .
Procycles' Service Dept - Liability in motion
Arranged to have my BMW R1200R 1000 klms service at the Procycles St Peters and was promised that it would be done first if I arrived when the store opened at 8.30am. I live in the Blue Mountains so it was a fairly long and arduous ride in peak hour traffic to say the least.
I arrived on time, signed the bike in, and waited and waited and waited. Three hours later, after viewing everything in their store in minute detail, its was ready, purportedly.
I was given a bill of $315.00 for labour and oil (apparently it really is liquid gold). I paid i...
Stand your Ground
Got quoted for works for $250 to change the oil seal on my final drive from BMW shaft drive motorcycle, I agreed, when I went to pick up the part they wanted to charge me $400.
I refused to pay $400 because I did not authorize additional works. I was quoted $250 for the works and I refuse to pay anymore.
I ended up paying the $250, Pro Cycles St Peters has no right to charge additional works above their quote unless the customer approves the work.
The Most Arrogant and Rudest Service Manager in Australia
I recently broke down on the M1 and was forced to leave my bike. I contacted the Sales team at Procycles Hornsby where the bike was purchased from and they bent over backwards like they always do to help me. I highly recommend Nick and Aaron. The bike was arranged to be towed back to their workshop so the damage could be assessed by the Workshop Manager and then I could determine whether to put it through my insurance or not. I asked to know how much it would cost to fix and was told it won't be more then half my excess. I'm contacted the next...day with a quote of $265 and it will be back on the road again. I told Anthony when he rang me that I would contact my insurance company and then make a decision after that. The next day I'm contacted again by Anthony and told the repairs are done but now there is further damage because they out sourced the work and that company has done even more damage that I would have to pay for. I then informed Anthony that I will put the bike through insurance now so please put the bike back together and I will pay for the tow fee and labor myself. Anthony then became the Service Manager from hell. He told me that I was wasting his time and that he will make no money out of this. I told him I have spent close to 10k with Procycles and I'm not wasting your time, your now costing me more money. You just told me the bike now has more damage and that's now my problem to fix. I told Anthony that I just want to pick my bike up and pay what is owed and I'll let the insurance deal with the repairs as its still a brand new bike and Anthony said it would be ready to be picked up the next day. After picking up my bike and paying $270 for work that I did NOT give approval for I receive another phone call from Anthony because he wants me to know that he thinks I'm dishonest and have no integrity and that I burnt him and from now on my bike is no longer welcome in his workshop. All I could say was wow that is rich coming from you and not to worry because I had already found another workshop to service my bike keeping the warranty valid and that was also not run by a thieving arrogant bully who tries to intimidate his customers. I just wanted my bike fixed and you said you could do that for $250 approx. but in reality you were only trying to help your wallet not your customers. Anthony then hung up on me which just proved further how unprofessional and rude this man his.
>>>>>Please please do not do it rudest person I have ever meet <<<<<
Please please do not even think about going to this guy. I broke down on old pac hwy rang them to pick up my BMW r1100rt bike as I have been buying parts from them for years...The tow guy was ok but he had to take the bike to Procycles service. We got to Procycles Hornsby service and the boss [name removed] comes out and tells me that he has to service the bike...Told him I wanted to tow to my home...Happy to pay whatever was needed>>>then it was like wow he started calling me a liar and a scum bag and I was a half wit for wasting his time ..To...ld him I was a member of the BMW bike club then tells me that all the members are scum bags and liars..I have plenty of witnesses to the service manager who is a total fool and acted like one. I hope no one will ever go to this place as I will never go ever again. Remember I was very happy to pay what ever was needed. Was not a matter of money.
Crap workshop, keep away at all costs.
Spend 33 grand on a bike. $1100 on servicing in 12 months for less than < 10000ks. Buy an additional $750 top box and when you go in to get a single windshield screw because all of them were loose and one fell out while riding they charge you $30 for 1/4 hour of labor and then give you mouth about questioning the price of a single screw which I never asked them to fit, I just asked for a damn screw.
Absolute joke of a place. Sales and the upstairs shop I've not has issues with but they'll never have to concern themselves at the workshop with worrying about my bikes again. It won't be returning.
Sales experience (Jared) has always been good. Service team, well, that is another matter...
Procycles St Peters is a mixed bag. The sales team (mainly Jared) have always been consistent and willing to go over-and-above to get you what you want at the price you want. I've purchased two Triumph's and the sales process end-to-end hasn't been straightforward. As Procycles is a reseller for Triumph Australia (who are the distributor for Triumph UK), everything is third hand and I lost count how many times Jared had to chase Triumph Australia for my bikes and accessories. I believe they recently stopped selling Triumph's due to ongoing issu...es with the distributor, but you will have to check that out yourself - as I'm not 100% sure of this. If this true, can't say I blame them as did't seem to be a smooth process all round i.e. bike stock, parts, service, warranties, etc... Procycle's main focus is BMW and friends who have purchased from them, have had a positive experience both in sales and service. I recently found out BMW is based in Australia and more connected to their resellers in stock supply, service and parts. Two of my mates rave about how quickly parts or issues are fixed on their beamers. I, on the other hand, have had a number of issues with Procycles St Peters service team, especially where triumph aftermarket accessories are involved. Have to double check, but I've had to return the bike 2-from-4 visits to have poorly fitted accessories refitted. Also, I now have to triple check with them when booking in a service/mod that they have someone who can fit it and the part is ACTUALLY there. I recently visited the workshop where a part hadn't been ordered and they didn't tell me for about 90minutes as I was waiting for the bike. Luckily, they managed to get one from another bike, but if it hadn't been for me asking every 15 minutes about how they were progressing, I could have been there for hours. In the last year, I've since moved my servicing to an independent service shop closer to home and will arrange a 'triumph dealer service' every 3rd year for any updates or specific changes the bike may need. I went to the Triumph dealer in Granville (BikeBiz) and their workshop team, time allocation and pricing were excellent. Maybe that is the answer. Buy from Jared at Procycles, service near home every 1-2 years and get any major services done at BikeBiz.
Failue to honour warrentee
I had an engine failure on an F800 just beyond the factory warrantee. Procycles and BMW refused to cover it even though it was still covered by statutory warrantee. I took Procycles and BMW Group Australia to the then Consumer Trader & Tenancy Tribunal (CTTT) and won. They were forced to rebuild the engine at their cost. When I received the bike back it wouldn't change gears properly and the throttle would stick open. (a mechanic in Parkes was tragically killed when this happened to a bike he was riding). They were forced to repair that as well.
I would never recommend dealing with BMW or Procycles ever again.
After-sales support is categorically abysmal. Triumph Bike completely unreliable
Purchased a brand new Triumph Thruxton in 2016. Sales experience was exceptional. However as soon as I returned only a few weeks later, the experience could not have been any more different. Not just from the Procycles staff who laughed at me when they told me there was waiting period of up to 3 months for parts, but also from Triumph Head Office (in the UK). That's right I went as far as contacting the UK. Head Office could not care any less if they were paid to do so. They obviously see Australia as such a small market that any complaint is l...aughed at. So, if you have money to throw away for a bike on which e-v-e-r-y single nut and bolt is cross-threaded and for a service that will leave you without a bike for 3-6 months while they can be bothered getting parts....then the Triumph Thruxton R from Procycles in St Peters is the bike for you.
Terrible workn=manship and customer service
I took my bike in for a service and to check for a possible fuel leak as there was a slight smell of fuel, they serviced the bike, and said the fuel leak was due to the fuel pump gasket leaking and the rest of the tank was fine, I asked them to change the fork oil and flush the radiator, which they did not do (as I found out later) and charged me for it.
I picked up my bike and rode it home, it seemed ok, low and behold the next day there was a pool of fuel on the ground under the centre stand, I took it back and Anthony said you will need a...new tank as the front mounting screw was leaking badly. I purchased a tank for $280 and had it delivered to the workshop. 3 days later I received a call from Anthony stating the bike was ready, and he presented me with a bill for $580, I strongly object citing that their workshop caused the major fuel leak and they should wear the cost, after much verbal abuse from Anthony he backed down and said that I sould pay for the seals for all 3 injectors that were leaking, I pointed out that he never made me aware of this and I checked the injection system as the tank was off and there was no evidence of any work in that area, I pointed this pout and Anthony literally kicked me out of the workshop and yelled at me to never ever bring either myself or my bike back to them, and citing he is doing a favour by bearing the full supposed cost for repairs. I am still out $285 for the tank, what an abysmal failure of proper conduct and duty of care, NEVER EVER go to these guys, you will be sorry and well out of pocket, I have reported them to the dept of fair trading.
Lack of service
My KTM 990 SMT was missing under hard acceleration when the motor was warm and then cutting out at lights. I took it to the dealer Procycles who have held it for nearly a month now. Despite calls and emails they have only last week test ridden it enough to get the motor warm. On the Monday they said it was likely the fuel pump, we have to test that. On the following Friday I eventually called them again and they said we've been busy- something else we were working on has blown out.. I asked them, after a month isn't my bike at the head of the...queue? They said no. So here we still are four weeks of waiting and no idea of the problem let alone movement towards fixing it...This coupled with the lack of communication on their part- unreturned phone call, unanswered emails tells me that there is something quite amiss with this business.
They don't listen
Rang to book my bike in for some work... tyres, fork seal, fit new springs...
"So you want to book it on for it's 30K service?".
"No thank you, tyres, fork seal, springs".
I had to repeat this three times over the length of the phone call. When I provided the vin number for the bike it wasn't in their system... doesn't inspire confidence when a BMW centre doesn't list your BMW's vin number. He then implied my vin was incorrect. I checked... it's stamped into the frame!
This is not the first experience of this kind with the St Pe...ters shop. When I booked my other bike in for tyres they failed to order the tyres... despite my calling weeks in advance. When I eventually took the bike in they wanted to fit a different brand tyre to the front than the rear? WTH? I've switched to a different service provider... someone who listens and can make a booking.
Hornsby Procycles workshop manager is a bully
This morning I called Procycles Hornsby and got a quote from their workshop manager, [Name Removed], for changing two tyres ( I provided the tyres and tubes ) . He quoted $50 all up.
I gave [Name Removed] the two tyres and tubes and rims. When the job was completed I was about to make the payment when I noticed on the invoice that [Name Removed] had tacked on $5 to the price.
I said that he’d quoted me $50 and he said that the extra $5 was for the GST.
I said that it was unlawful to quote a price and not include the GST in the quote pric...
Worst Customer Service Ever!!
Purchased what was advertised as a brand new 2015 KTM Rc390 on sale in Mid 2016. The customer service with the sales team was great, they were very friendly and helpful and made the purchase experience very smooth. As soon as I had the bike in my possession, everything changed.
Dealing with the after sales team is the worst experience of my motorcycling life, and almost put me off ever riding a motorcycle again. The service team is rude, dismissive, indifferent to their customers, arrogant and uncommunicative. The following are all of the is...sues I had with my motorcycle following my purchase I. August 2016. - dead battery: 1 week into ownership, in the service centre for 1 week, charged for the tow, new battery, and labour. Only received my warranty claim 6 months later because they forgot to submit one and it didn’t cover everything. - At he same time they told me the bike was a 2014 model not a 2015 according to the sticker on the bike and my warranty would run out 2 years after the date of manufacture not purchase (which is completely false) They printed off a new sticker and replaced the old one, a bit dodger on my opinion. - Fuel Guage not reading correctly: occurred after 2-3 months of ownership of that. The field guage would drop to zero sporadically o matter the fuel level. The bike was held onto by Procycles Hornsby and St Peter by a total of 7 months trying to fix this problem, giving the bike back after everything they’d tried telling me it was fixed, only for me to find that it was still broken and having to take it back. The last fix they tried was to replace the dash with a new one. This again did not fix the bike, but it also reset my 5000km on the bike back to zero, without them trying to set the new dash at my previous km’s. This actually made the bike an illegal unroadworthy bike according to NSW law, and they just handed it back to me without a word. Eventually I took them to the Consumer Affairs tribunal who forced them to give me a brand new 2017 RC390. Which I sold immediately. To top it all off I was never offered a loaner bike te entire time, with the bike being my only vehicle and modem lf transport. Heed my warning and never shop at Procycles because you will be left disappointed, angry and frustrated by their obhorent after sales team. Don’t get sucked in my their friendly sales team and stay away!!
Zero interest in selling a bike
I arrived at the St Peters showroom yesterday morning for a prearranged test ride of a new Triumph.
After 40 minutes in the showroom and waiting for the salesperson I spoke to on the phone and had visited the previous week, no one had even approached me or said hello. Virtually no other customers in the showroom and sales staff just kept walking around me. I even waited in front of the salespersons desk but he just kept playing on the computer and shuffling paper. Not one word or even eye contact.
I picked up my helmet and jacket and lef...t. The salesperson just sat and watched. Weird and unbelievable but I was not the only customer who left without any attention. I definitely wont be back to the dealership or buy that brand if that is supposed to be the best dealer in Sydney.
Zero customer service skills, fraudulent claims
Bought 2nd hand motorcycle from Procycles Hornsby, only had 2800 km on clock, they claim it has "40 point ready for the market check", this is an absolute lie.
Found major issue with bike the same day I bought it. Asked for a refund. They refused
Procycles does what is legal, not what is right.
Stay away from this pack of thieves.
I took bike elsewhere and paid to have it in the condition it should have been for sale.
Buy elsewhere as they are crooks.
I swapped my service from my purchasing Triumph dealership to Procycles Hornsby. In contrast to the original shop, their attention to detail is impressive and they use genuine factory parts. Their workshops are clean and they employ a sizeable team of mechanics. Yes, Anthony can be gruff and straight to the point but so far I’m unfazed by that and he has shown himself to be hugely knowledgable. He expects a lot from his servicing team and so he should!
I’ve also found the sales team very helpful. I bought my BMW from them and am happy to talk with them abiut updating my Triumph.
So, in two and a half years I’ve only had good experiences. So far, so good!
Refused warranty job. Incredible brand damage as Triumph dealer and unprofessional
I recently phoned Procycles Hornsby to book in bike for apparent warranty issue.
Male person I was talking with one phone asked if I bought the Triumph bike from him, when I responded that I purchased Triumph bike elsewhere, he asked where I lived and when I said I purchased it elsewhere, he said, "Why the 'F', not?, I'm your local Triumph dealer".
I asked him who he was and he replied, "I'm the f,,,ing owner here".
Whilst remaining professional and polite in my language, I highlighted to owner/ manager of Procycles Hornsby that he's a ...
Procycles Hornsby review.
Purchased a new KTM there in mid 2016, bike has done nearly 40k now, found there service & problem solving skills to be very good, overall a better experience than most throughout Sydney, would highly recommend.
you were lucky, that [Name Removed] is a total Knob jockey
don't even think of going to Procycles Hornsby for service. Sure go to for parts from the george st side but if you need service, you are better off going to Honda! Yes they don't even do BMW!
Staff at Hornsby is arrogant and aggressive towards customers.
Had a great experience with the guys in service, bought new genuine parts for my gsxr 600.
Spent fair bit, my problem is [name removed] in the workshop. Just wanted brakes bleed but wanted to do other work on my bike.
When I said no he lost it and told me to come and get my bike he won't touch it anymore.
So now I'm out of pocket for pick up of my bike and delivery back with no work done.
Never use these guys absolute crooks.
Sales & Service were excellent at St Peters
Recently purchased a used 2015 BMW S1000R at Procycles St Peters. I walked in and managed to secure a test ride late in the day and made a decision to purchase that afternoon. Very friendly service, organised the bike to be ready for pickup less than 48hrs later after a full detail and as the bike was reasonably close to the service interval they also had completed it including a new rear rotor when i returned to pick it up. I also received an extra $1000 off the sale for being a repeat customer even though it was already reduced for EOFY. Thanks again Nick, Judy and team. I have also had previous bikes serviced there and had great service from Marcel and team. Will definitely be back when the new bike bug bites again.
Hi I would just like to say a big thanks to Johnno Paul and Mark for a smooth transaction a pleasure to deal with
The bike ride home to Newcastle was great
Thanks Peter T from Newcastle
The 'Service' Manager Hornsby...
I've had 2 amazing experiences at Hornsby Procycles in Service dept. the manager is a horror to deal with. Best one is I had been given procycles gift voucher and bought tyre for my Beemer. Took in wheel and after fitting took it home. Imagine my surprise to find it fitted wrong way around. Called Service manager who listened to my storey, then told me it was my fault. After further discussion told me it was the company who fitted previous tyre as his guys just copied them! After further discussion where I advised him that his people were BMW m...echanics and how could they get it wrong, he grudgingly said bring it over. Back to Hornsby and tyre turned around. We had a further discussion re customer service and I left thoroughly frustrated with having to deal with one of life's more ignorant people. I called the Procycles office, was put through to the man who handles their complaints. I asked to speak to the owner as I just wished to suggest he deal with the service manager, and imagine my further surprise to find he was the owner! I've since been advised re other customers (now former), dealt with similarly. Anyways, there's plenty of other places to go to.
