Still no refund

I have made many many calls, emails and facebook messages and I am constantly told different dates the transfer has apparently taken place and to wait but never receive the money. Requests for proof that the transaction has taken place are ignored. Customer Service team members talk over you on the phone then promise to call you back but never do. Completely amoral and disgraceful service to customers who have been patient for months now. We should all file complaints with our Consumer Affairs bodies as clearly this is a widespread issue for your customers

In December 2019, I booked 5 tickets to travel to Europe from Australia with Qatar in September 2020. Due to COVID-19, we could not fly out in September. I requested a full refund from Qatar and received it in a timely manner. If the travel restrictions are lifted, I will be re-booking the same trip next year with Qatar.

Poor handling of COVID refunds or lack thereof!

Spent just over $3,500 on airfares in November 2019 - filled out their 'full refund' web form on their site late February 2020 but no follow-ups or action of a refund. Early April received a 'flight credit voucher' to use and received no further communication for a refund until I contacted my credit card company to get involved. Several weeks later I receive an update but still no help or refund. It was going to be my first time flying with Qatar and I don't think I'll fly with them unless it's a free flight now. Poor handling overall and little to no customer service.

If there was zero star, I would go for it!

My flight from Melbourne to Tehran supposed to have 12 hours wait in Doha. but it increased to 18 hours just one week before departure date.
All the cafes and restaurant in airport are serving just drinks, NOT FOOD. (due to Covid)
Airline didn't offer ANY food or drink for that 18 hours.
So we (2 people 70 years old) had just biscuits and coffee for 18 hours.
Airline could mention this to passengers so we could take our own food...
Never go back to this airline.
Couldn't be treated worse...

Terrible communication but they provided full refund for cancelled trip

Hi, like many we cancelled due to Covid19 but it took 48 days to get the 7 day refund! emails get ignored, phone representatives don't know anything and at one point they just closed their phone lines. To their credit however they did give me a full refund.

I was supposed to flight back from Paris to Sydney today. It wasn't possible to come from Sydney to Paris because all flight are cancelled since February. Qatar Airlines have re-validated the ticket and so i can't get a voucher. How can i flight back from France if it was legally not possible to go there from Sydney? They are taking advantage of the situation to clear themself to their responsability. They also change from 4h to 24h the stopover in Doha and it was not possible to contest.

Short notice cancellation

Qatar Airways cancelled the flight 10 days before departure. Trying to call Qatar Airways to get a refund for 3 days now. The call centre is a disgrace, emails are not answered. Shocking service!

Rip off refund

Asked me if I’d like a refund said yes charged me$1221 more than should of cost and basically said tough. Vouchers are a scam can’t use online and when you call charge you $1400 dollars more than online

Covid-19 flight

I feel Qatar airways took advantage of the situation and its price was extremely unreasonable.
I have never had a issue with its service until now.
Due to this I will no longer fly Qatar airways as i felt in the current situation it lacked empathy for people and knew customers needed to get home and have no other opution!!!
Never in the history of the aircraft has a one way economy ticket costed so high.

Different airline in the air and different on the ground.

From the rude short Large bob hair ‘blond’ manager at Sydney airport with over self importance to the dry faces at check -in to the call centre and support staff this airline is third world on the ground. As soon as you step into the plane it’s a different story and is bliss. What a crazy experience. They have no idea. Do fly Emirates for an all round consistent service.

I could not travel due to a government restriction banning people who had been to Iran from coming back so I cancelled and asked for a refund. After 7 weeks, no refund and they then spring a $770 cancellation fee on me as well. I will never fly with this thieving pack of so-and-so’s

Transit Nightmare Experience 1st April 2020

Dear Transit Passengers please keep in mind that you will not be able to enjoy any facilities while transiting in Hamad International. Our TODAY's experience of 21 hours of transit in Doha airport is a nightmare. They keep us at the Gate where we disembarked. They keep us as animals, we are ok as they checked our temperature on arrival but despite our long transit they don't care. We all have to stay at the same Gate for the duration of our ENTIRE transit!!! Be warned regarding transit conditions as they don't have any information on their official website. We will never fly with Qatar! Never ever again!
