The WORST experience with ANY company

Nearly 10 months on after legitimate claim, hours spent on phone, email and even ignored letter of complaint. The customer service is appalling and even lack basic English stay away. Taken my matter to the Financial Ombudsman as get nowhere with QBE, tried to just replace kickboards of a flooded kitchen when all cupboards are moldy after months water damage and inside and doors rotting - absolute joke!

Home and contents with QBE one claim in nearly 20 years, they told me there was no record of my policy on the system I contacted them a number of times with the same response. I eventually found the policy quoted policy number and yes you do have a policy with us. I have now changed to another insurer and saved over $500 in the process.

Water damage

Pay a lot of money for building and content insurance so when I recently had a flood upstairs I rang qbe and yes not a problem they sent people out to make safe property, however almost 3 weeks on I am still ringing them to get this claim sorted. Lost about 7k worth of goods including a bed that was directly below downstairs. They expect my child to sleep on the floor. Wth. Then today told oh you have to pay excess before we will look at it. Big insurance company have no idea how normal people live day by day. If anyone is reading this beware go to another company

My neighbour put in a claim for repair of a common limestone wall (he built it) between our properties. QBE approved the propping to make the wall safe, with propping on my property. Then they rejected the repair claim. That was in June 2017. The FOS found against QBE on December 23, 2017 ordering them to repair the wall. The propping structure is still there in August 2018. QBE are the worst company I've ever dealt with.

Water damage in our bedroom and built in robe which is causing mould and roughly 400x400 in diameter and starting to sag. made a claim inspector (builder) and a plumber came out and said it was blocked gutters which i thought was wrong as water was coming in from the front gable. Was recommended to clean gutters so i did and 1 week later wind and rain hit us again and more water damage so another call i made to QBE and they sent out a roof specialised who said it has nothing to do with the gutters, its your gable..well i guess i was right the first time..QBE contacted me 1 week later to say i wasn't covered....20 years I've been paying insurance with this mob and they just turn there back on me.

Still going on after 3 months my house is clearly water damaged and they are just going backwards and forwards. [Name Removed] is the most incompetent and heartless person I have ever had to deal with in my life.

The worst experience ever.

It's now been 4 days since I tried to make a claim every time I call I'm told someone will call me back. Today for the fourth time and after being on hold for 40 minutes they say can you hold while we transfer you . No I can not someone needs to call me back , person on phone say but that's not my department I need to transfer you. No I want to be called. What's your claim number well that's it I don't have one because each time I call I'm told I'll be called back. As if things have not been stressful enough the service has been worse. I'll defiantly be changing companies after this terrible service.
