Realme 6 Love it.
Just purchased this phone from Mobilciti, to replace my Moto G8 plus which was slow and glitchy. So far, only 24hrs, and I'm very impressed with this Realme6. For $298, why the hell would you pay $1200. It has 8g ram, 128 g storage, and fits 2 Sims + SD card. and it's quick.. Just what I've been looking for. Well done to Realme. So far, so good.
Purchased in October 2021 at Mobilciti for $298.00.
UI is excellent, Mediatek SoC is awesome and power efficient, good battery also, hardware is solid.
The only thing is night mode function of camera is not good.
I have been using relame 6 for work and Oppo Find X2 pro for private at the moment. If the night mode of relame 6 camera function is at least as great as Oppo Reno Z, I would have used relame 6 for private.
Is it possible to improve night mode function by UI or software update ?
I'm enjoying my new Realme 6
I'm enjoying my new Realme 6. I use it as a GPS and found that I couldn't see the screen when I was driving with my polarizing sunnies. The solution was to dig out my old non-polarizing sunnies. Then I had problems with the reflection of the screen when driving. I bought a matt screen for the phone and fixed that problem.
Problem with software. Hardware is good.
The phone app in the smartphone contain bugs. When I deduct a call the caller screen notification doesn't go from the notification bar. Sometimes when disconnecting, the screen in the app freezes and doesn't disconnect. If I make second call after an hour, the first call which disconnected an hour before still shows in the notification bar and with the second call, the first call start to show on hold but in reality it was disconnected an hour before. So, after few weeks now I ended by installing Google phone app to get rid of this. Another pro...blem is the camera configuration, even in WhatsApp video call the video is too much of artificial, meaning it lacks the natural video appearance. Everything else is great. No other problem until now. Fast charging is good couple of minute of charge is enough for my day.
Better than expected
Not gonna lie I was a bit disappointed by the features, as it is pretty much identical to OPPO A53 however it is slowly growing on me and I am liking it so far!
it is worth - a good value for money
I love this phone, which is not expensive and a perfect one for my day to day job. I am not a heavy user of mobile phones. I noted that my new Realme 6 is very fast and has most features of several expensive brands. The camera perhaps is not that great but it is okay.
Nice phone for the price range
Does all the required tasks without any hiccups. Only frustrating thing is the side mounted fingerprint scanner. Not accurate and doesn't work well. Apart from that a decent budget phone.
A great looking phone with snappy performance.
Easy to purchase online and fast delivery. A well spec'd phone with a good screen, plenty of speed and a good battery life with fast charging. No problems with setup or with moving my apps and data. Very happy.
Seems decent for the price
Bought it on special directly from realme. Price was cheaper than shops and one large retailer had it on sale but no stock. Go figure. Anyway easy to set up, it's quick so far, 8gig ram does that. Long term who knows yet.
Call quality excellent and good/better reception in same place as old phone.
I have no brand loyalty and usually buy 2nd hand from people that love upgrading every year. This was better value for the specs so hopefully lasts me 2 years.build quality seems solid but the factory fitted screen protector doesn't look like will survive long.
Would buy again.
First smart phone and acquired after some thought
Never used a smart phone before so reference to where I could get a manual would have been good. After finding one on Google everything is now fine and I am learning
Hi USB issues

Realme 6 Great Phone BUT!!!
Great Phone but if you want to see the fancy colour on the back of your phone do not get over excited, some or maybe all have been shipped with the free soft case made in a gray tint instead of clear as with all our OPPO phones (4 purchased over a few years) Now to appreciate the great looking White back of my phone I have to find an aftermarket clear version which does exist so no excuse for realme using tinted ones with these smart coloured phones.
Totally ruins what the phone looks like, just looks all gray, see the image to see what it do...es to a white piece of paper, imagine that on what is supposed to be like a bright mother of pearl type effect? I phoned support and they are aware of the issue but all I got was that is what the phones come with. I hate the look of the phone like it is with the supplied case. So I will have to pay more money for an aftermarket perfectly clear one that is available via many ebay traders. Maybe realme can buy their cases from them?

Great phone for the price!
Awesome phone for the price!
Phone arrived very quickly and the exterior is beautiful, just as shiny as I expected from the picture. The best features are:
- the side fingerprint detector, which is incredibly fast, although it is often triggered accidentally.
- the 90hz display, very smooth most of the time.
- the battery and charger! Such a big difference to my iPhone 6s plus, which I had to charge more than once each day, realme 6 only needs a charge every one-two days, and charges soooo insanely quickly!
There are some things that I hav...

Snappy phone at cheerful price
Value for money purchase. Camera is great although night mode washes out some details. UI is standard android except a slight annoyance would be inability to change home screen sequence
Not as good as they say, some issues limit function, but reliable basic phone
Obtained this phone because of the game processor and the specs originally offered regarding the functionality, speed, durability and graphics. Its a reasonable phone for its price, but has not lived up to the hype at all and the inability to disable the proximity sensor has become super annoying.
1) playing high end graphic Mobile games you get lag outs and screen freezes. not often, but with this level of processor it shouldnt happen at all. The data log indicates that the device is using more processor in monitoring what your doing then...it is in actually doing it lol 2) there is no auto adjustment on screen size for some games or applications, ie. X buttons can disappear from the screen even when the rest of the game is within the screen borders. 3) cannot turn off proximity sensor/overly sensitive proximity sensor. This impacts a lot when your in Discord music chats or games with in game voice. Basically, if you need to touch the screen anywhere at all in the top or right side your going to get the black screen. While some say to plug in a headset, i have no desire when im alone at home to put buds in my ears... i cant hear my background playlist. So this is again a area where they have fallen down in the market they aimed this phone at (gamers and app users). Most phones now a days you can turn this feature off, but that has not been made available yet to RealMe 6. CONCLUSION: its a functional phone for the mid range cost, but your getting what you pay for. Ignore the hype, its just a normal basic smartphone without any extra benefits to any of the other current mid teir smart phones.

Questions & Answers
Does this realme 6 operate on 4G, and will it update to 5G when it come in.
I wouldn't think so 5g is a while new world this realme 6 operates on 4g only you would have to contact realme about that hope that helps you regards David
Thanks. Most of the new phones operate on 5G. But a lot of the ISP don't provide for 5G as yet.
No, when 5G comes in, it will still operate but on 4G. As there are different frequency bands which are used for 3G, 4G and 5G. And this phone doesn't have the bands required for 5G.
Software upgrade cannot make any 4G phone a 5G. You need hardware as well.
