Systems based and when things go wrong unable to support

I joined ReAmped 8 weeks ago, they offered simple no fuss low cost electricity supply. Recently ReAmped announced hefty price rises putting them well out of contention with competition. Online customer meter reading data submission system did not work and ReAmped failed to address this 'system' issue. Support is via Live Chat only where operators try to maintain cheery service but fail to deal with business issues. This retailer has a colourful, cartoon and casual based approach to its customers in exchange for cheap power. I would not recommend this provider for the busy working, or retired market. Show details

I originally left a bad review but I was wrong and in error

I was in error and the price increase was fair in todays climate.
I jumped the gun without checking the facts
I did more research and found the price increase was across all suppliers and not just a scam on my power bill. Now I have checked my facts properly I would recommend ReAmped Power Show details ·  1

Hidden fees and poor customer service

I used to be with other Energy provider prior to Reamped. They used to be good customer support and usage of Energy. But when moving home one of my friend suggested me to opt energy plan with Reamped. From day-1 it's ridiculous. Understaffed. Poor customer service

Electric power installed. Needed to transfer my meter because of construction work. Emailed them on 25 March for a metering request. They didn't send out the metering request until 20th April (more than 20 business days later.

When i followed up with them, they said they are still escalating the issue to the distributor (when it should have been done a month ago!). Show details

Pathetic

Rates good, billing cycle issues - scape goating

10 of the last 23 fortnight cycles have been cycled at either 9, 13, or 15 days - not the 14 days.

Excuses have ranged from:
Data issues from distribution - no evidence provided
Public Holiday - so we issue earlier causing change to that cycle and next cycle
Staff who can't follow directions or act with out consent given.
Wrong info given about monthly vs fortnight processes.
Long winded and poorly written emails.

Submission to EWOV had to follow through multiple times.

I am aware that it might seem trivial - or not complex, and it has nothing to do with inaccurate billing rates, just they can't honour the billing cycle Show details

Hidden charges and outrageous connection fees

There was no connection fee while I was given a quote on the phone now the connection fee is 81$ in my first bill. How much other providers charges? Ausgrid charges 12$ for reconnecting they think its fair not to mention this charges. Show details

Best energy company in Australia

I went from $700 bills to half that and even less sometimes! They offer do it yourself meter reads monthly so you can keep on top of your usage!

Cheap in theory, dodgy in practice

Be very, very careful when you sign up with this energy provider.

After you sign up you get an email, which instead of listing your new plan prices (or having a PDF attached) simply says "click here" and has a dynamic link to pricing.

So there's *NOTHING IN WRITING* you can go back to later to prove what prices you signed up to.

If you go with Reamped, screenshot your initial rates and all online communication, because that's the only record you will have. Show details

Savings in staff employment allow them to have lower rates

I signed up with ReAmpEd in December after using the Vic government's comparison site Victorian Energy Compare. The sign-up process was satisfactory but then I could not get an answer when I asked about a small discrepancy in the charges being reported when I logged into their portal. Are they offering these excellent rates by savings in staff salaries and banning phone contacts? It's been 7 weeks without an invoice while they try to figure out what is causing the small discrepancy with their advertised rates. I suspect it might be confusing instructions given to their abacus operator concerning which way to wind the clocks at the changeover to daylight saving. Show details ·  1

Very easy to deal with

I needed the electricity to be connected at my new flat. It’s been very easy starting a contract with ReAmped. The invoicing is convenient too.

I’ll wait and see how it goes in the next few months as I’m aware they start overcharging after a certain period of time from what the reviews are saying. Show details ·  1

Electricity Charges

My First Invoice the changes were reasonable,
.2089 p/kWh
Supply charge .9 p/day
by the 3rd invoice:
.48 p/kWh
Supply charge .98 p/day.
My 3 months electricity bill from Alinta engergy was $180.

Very impressed with efficiency and price

We review our energy cost annually. Re Amped rates are very competitive and we went with them and cut our costs by more than 25%. Their portal is easy to use and best we have experienced, very transparent on charges. We will review in 12 months as usual but very happy to date. Show details ·  1

Warning!! Stay clear away

I was only with this company for 1 month thankfully. I was charged twice for the same period. Very poor level of ways to communicate. You cannot call them, only an online chat or a callback service that never happens. Never got an accurate read. Still dealing with resolving an incorrect invoice. By far the worst energy company I have ever dealt with!!! You have been warned. Show details

Actually rewards loyalty

I haven't been with these guys long, but what I liked about the structure of the contract is that they offered a discount if you stay with them for over twelve months. Stay away!

Triple overcharged me (charged every KW/h as peak, shoulder, and off-peak). Then did nothing when I raised the issue. The problem was only acknowledged when I canceled my account. Never got an accurate bill or refund of any overpayments. Easily the worst organization I have ever dealt with! Show details

Most Competitive Energy Retailer

I was skeptical at first using a provider in QLD while we're based in VIC. To my surprise there was little dramas in the swapover, live chat is always available when you need them (and rather helpful too). I've swapped plans multiple times due to getting a new solar system put in, live chat sorted it out on the spot which was pretty amazing to stay the least.

The usage rate can be easily tracked via their user portal if you're into those kinda things. I'd stick with these guys forever if their prices continue remain competitive.

Exorbonant electricity charges, 560 dollars for a month and we literally only have one small heater and are very conservative with electricity. Cant rate service cause there wasnt any

I couldn't get connected or even book to have it connected in the future because the house was already in someones name. Apparently i had to contact the current resident and ask them to disconnect their service to book mine in to be connected in a month. Show details
