Sales staff scolded me
Wish I could give 0 star as I got scolded by [name removed] from Reece Armadale when I contacted after the purchase, asking for my tax invoice by items (ATO compliant invoice).
The story was, I made a phone purchase of goods worth nearly $3000. [name removed] was very nice before I made a purchase. After the delivery, I couldn't find a tax invoice in the delivery so I called to request a tax invoice by items. She kept sending me customer orders so I sent her an ATO definition of what tax invoice is. She then sent me the tax invoice with descri...ption "payment of deposit of customer order", which is not what I've asked for. So I called the store to discussed. She started scolding me over the phone and asked me whether I was aware of how big Reece was and told me that Reece has been using the same accounting system since 1920 (I doubt that) so their invoices could never be wrong.
Shocking and worst service I ever had any where so far is in Reece
Went to buy a 100mm coupling in marsdenpark reece on 19/07/2019 around 14.50 and sales girl was angry and talking herself when I ask her to show for more products. Not paid any attention to customer and talking on my back when I was leaving as I dont want that product.

I just received appalling customer service from one of your stores in Adelaide. I purchased an American Standard Saga sink mixer for $235 from the sales lady [name removed] yesterday to find that it had been fitted previously by a Plumber and returned to the store. The paperwork to show a parts list and breakdown of the tap was not in the box, which notes the paperwork should be left with the customer (if installed by a Plumber) as it featured the parts list in case some are needed. The fittings were in a sandwich bag with part 18 washer missin...g as well as the L-wrench which is a hex key to remove the tap handle. I had to explain what this part was as she didn't know. The dress ring was not for this particular unit as it did not fit, but wobbled sideways when the mixer was fitted. I took it back today, having a day off of work to complete the work or we would be without a kitchen tap for three days, and was met with [name removed] who was keen to talk to me until I told her that there was an issue with the tap I was sold the day before. She cut me off short when explaining about the O ring, L-wrench and the misfitting dress ring and walked away, telling me that the instructions are often wrong. She looked at the sandwich bag of parts and said she couldnt see anything that might be wrong but "here is a new one anyway". The instructions are perfectly right in every way. I asked to look at it and she turned to her side and went back to work saying thats ok. I tried to show her the missing O ring washer that was inside the dress ring and she wouldn't even look at me. I left with my first bad experience from Reece. Then after taking it home and successfully fitting the replacement tap, which is a really nice product and simple to fit with basic home tools, I thought I would ring their spare parts and let them know that the O ring washer and L-wrench is missing and the Dress Ring is not for that tap, I met with silence and had to ask if he was there. He said "I'm not following you what did you buy?" I told him again from what was on the side of the box and said that I thought I would ring to let him know what was not correct in the box in case he needed to order in the missing and incorrect parts again before selling it to another customer. He said "don't worry about it we will sort it from this end, I don't have time for this I have people waiting. Goodbye." That was it. I was cut off while just trying to help Reece fix an issue that is theirs, not mine. This is an awful experience for me. Product accessories were incorrect and missing, [name removed] is a rude person to deal with who should not be exposed to customers, and [name removed] (I think) cut me off while I was just trying to help even after my experience with [name removed]. Every business should strive for its point of difference when addressing customers, to give solid, experienced, helpful, heartfelt and honest customer service. I didn't receive this from either department in Reece Plumbing at this location (Nelson Street, Stepney, Adelaide).
I walked in and asked for a replacement laundry tub overflow, although I couldn't supply the brand as I couldn't see it, I had the broken fitting complete with part number. Well the bloke behind the counter just told me as the law states you must have a waste overflow outlet in your floor so what I had could not be from a laundry tub. I then explained that I removed it and it was definately from the laundry tub but he wouldn't have any of that and new better. I left amused at both his lack of knowledge and ignorance of the fact that they can and do in fact have overflows. Got home put the part number in search and drove to Strathpine and picked up the exact fitting, they had 11 in stock. EX Reece customer now.
Nightmare don’t buy anything from them
Delivered as faulty and took ages to replace. Replaced with another faulty and it has 7 yr warranty and asked to replace but a part of the product is outsourced and they say it’s out of warranty now. They make whatever excuses not to fix the problem. Don’t trust them at all.
Regret, Never use again,no customer service, no care
This company is a JOKE no matter what store we have been dealing with (in this case Bundall and Burleigh). Was advise when placed our order it would be in store for pickup within 3-5 days. They didn’t bother to ring us and we have had to do all the chasing on our goods. Finally after over a week goods arrived and it was only because we dropped in that they checked. They didn’t bother to ring as promised!! We believe it had been sitting in the store for more than a day. When we got the product home it was incorrect and seeking refund on one of ...the products they didn’t bother to check and wasn’t advertised correctly. Product said brush chrome but when you opened it up it was plastic. Again we had to reschedule our plumber, which is an additional call out cost, not that they give a damn. We thought the rest of the items were correct and call the plumber back. Plumber advised parts were missing and job could not be completed. Again, additional cost on us due to the incompetence of Reece’s staff not ordering and ensuring what was delivered was correct. We are still trying to sort out and again had to do the chasing. They don’t bother ringing back when they say they are and can’t believe the lack there poor customer service or care factor. I can’t believe we have ordered other things over the internet with delivery at our door with 3 days. Products were perfect but when dealing with Reece (trying to support local business) after 2 weeks we are still having issues. Lesson Learnt and will never use Reece again!!!! This issue is still going around in circles and sick of chasing up but don’t have a choice.!
Don't bother or waste your time on their website - appalling to say the least
I thought I'd try the reece "3D Bathroom Plannerl" tool it worked for about an hour and then collapsed and I lost all my work. Yes; I made sure I opened an account etc.. But I ended up getting the same message for hours - then days in a row.. The website did show my hours of previous work but when I asked the site to OPEN my work it told me that that was a "server error- try again later".
To add insult to injury; there is NO "contact number" to call Reece about their abysmal website failure.
FORGET IT! This company is hopeless!
Upon entering the store we eventually were asked what we wanted from a lady behind a desk, no getting up to serve us, after lots of sighs and 'so' eventually she found something on a computer, not sure about price or availability then makes a very awkward and long phone call to tell us not available etc etc....so we go to the very next store walk in get directed to the product and buy it immediately ...such a different experience avoid Reece at all costs
Bought a Rinnai B26 gas hot water system. when the plumber came to install it, there were parts missing. Reece tried to wriggle out of responsibility by claiming I had lost them. My fault the unit wasn’t packaged properly is it ?? Ended up having to make 2 wasted trips to chase parts that should have been in the box in the first place. Manager was rude and unhelpful to.
I ordered a toilet through the website. Weeks past and I heard nothing about my order. I called the store and it took them a while to locate my order, when they found it I was told "we are product testing this item". What nonsense! I was then told it would arrive next week. I waited another week and still no delivery! I called again and again they couldn't find my order. I asked them to cancel the order but was told I'd have to come in to the store to get the refund. I was never at any point offered an apology and when I went in store they were indifferent. You lose Reece: i just ordered $8000 of bathroom products elsewhere.
Reece or FLEECE
While the staff have been helpful, their prices are outrageous.
Recent purchases were later found to be twice as much as their local competitor. When I questioned a salesman about the difference, he suggested the competitors products must be imported. It turned out that they were from the same suppliers (labels and packaging etc)
I guess I'm yet another customer who's been well and truly "FLEECED".
Definitely no fair go at this Aussie establishment.
Bad attitude galore, should be the new name for Reece
Went to Reece Coffs Harbour a year ago and had attitude and not very friendly, went in again a couple of weeks ago, same story bad attitude and very un helpful, and again this week.
So three strikes your out!
Must say they were very helpful to the tradies
Coming in who we're spending a fortune.
Very unpleasant experience and not for the first time.
REECE - Tolley Road - After being ignored for a while, the person behind the counter pretended that he can not understand what I want, once I raised my voice and asked if he has a problem understanding English he started looking into the computer at the end he charged 87 AUD for a piece of plastic that I could get for 10 AUD online - same item in UK is around 4 pounds.
Horrible Customer Support
I visited Reece Klemzig SA today based on a referral from my plumber to seek all the information needed for a full stormwater system for my house. As soon as I stepped into the store 3 staff members behind the counter checked me out in a very hostile way and I was completely ignored for like 2 minutes and 2 of them kept chatting to each other and neglecting the fact that I am standing right in front of them! The guy finally said hi and kept chatting with the girl again! I was like super surprised with the attitude anyways I explained to him tha...t I was told on the phone on Monday to stop by and show my building plan and someone will help me out with the prices and all the parts needed for the build. He immediately answered me back, no we don't do that and I can't do anything for you! silence for 5 seconds (thinking in my head what about the lady that I spoke with her over the phone). So, I added I've got a plan with all the necessary information, all I want is an estimate how much will it cost and if you have any other higher options than the ones mentioned in the plan that would be great. He gave me a very fierce look and told me to find a plumber and talk to him and this is not the right place to ask for those questions!!! So, I answered him that is exactly what I did my plumber referred me to come here. He became very nervous and asked the lady that he was chatting with her when I entered do we do that here and she replied back no we are not trained to do that!!! First of all, I am not asking them to donate the stormwater system for FREE. I visited them as per the recommendation from my plumber and I was going to pay cash and was looking for the best options to upgrade the plan to the best option available. In addition, I couldn't believe the condescending tone that was used while communicating with me, was it really necessary. I will never ever step a foot in any reece store whatsoever and if they were the last supplier on Earth to provide the parts I will never deal with them and will make sure to that all my friends who are building to stay away from them. I strongly believe in the word of mouth. I am not going to recommend or point out that they need to improve their skills when dealing with customers or any other opportunities that can improve them because I truly don't care. I am simply providing my feedback so that potential buyers beware and stay away from them.
Poor customer relations
Do not go to Reece Melton, Victoria. I bought an extension washing machine outlet hose, their sales person opened the package to ensure the right clamps were provided. After a bit of modification to the existing hose I found I did not need the new one. When I returned and asking for a refund they advised because of the opened package they will not issue a refund. No wonder people go to Bunnings.
Great customer satisfaction Reece (I think not) I'm building a house later this year, guess what, you have just lost another customer for a considerable spend on my part.
I bought 12 copper fittings at Reece at Rutherford and they wanted $164.97 for the 12 fittings, I then went to eagles plumbing 100 meters down the road bought the exact same 12 copper fittings and there price was $63.22 that's over $100 difference for the same copper fittings, so don't ever go to Reece at Rutherford to buy your copper fittings.
Just made the mistake of thinking i might get some help from the plumbing dept at sumner park. What a joke! Arrogant old tool behind the counter needs to find a new job. No helpful advice & obviously i must have interrupted his personal time, could not have been more uninterested. Too long in one job i think.
Poor Service & Attitude
I visited this store on Monday to purchase a replacement Showerco chrome waste for my shower and I was met with poor customer service and attitude. I asked to see the manager but I was told that he was out collecting his children so I told the customer service representative about the issue as the shower was purchased through Reece approximately 2 years ago and this was the second time that this had happened...so much for a warranty. The rep phoned up and said that it would cost approximately $56.00 and that was for the waste as I couldn't possibly just buy the chrome part and he said just take off the chrome part and use it and that it would probably go again in 12 months. So much for quality assurance and service.
Overpriced and Poor Customer Service
This was a really disappointing customer experience. At Reece Bathroom Life, Bowen Hills, there is a beautiful show room with equally impressive products. BUT if you dare to walk through the doors, expect to pay through the nose and do NOT expect to get customer service. They are eager to sell but the follow through with customers is non-existent. Currently, I have followed up four times and still there is no response. The promise to return the call at the end of the day doesn't happen...and that is just the beginning of my concerns. My recommendation...by all means, go in, have a look and FIND THE A SIMILAR PRODUCT ELSEWHERE.
