I was after new robe doors but had no idea what type would Suit. The rep, Stephen showed me some options and we immediately decided on the Hiro style, as it was the perfect fit for my renovation. He quoted onsite instantly which I accepted and in less then 2 weeks they arrived and were installed in less then 1 hr. We get heaps of comments on how good they look from friends and family when they stop by. Overall it was quick and easy from start to finish.
I have an investment unit in Fyshwick and visited the Regency/Stegbar showroom at the HIA centre. The lady at the branch was great but thats where it ended.
We wanted a range of internal shelving solutions that were fairly tricky but was assured by the rep that came to measure that it wasn't an issue and all would be good. What turned up was a load of packing material with dents, scratches and edge tape peeling. The installer knew this and still proceeded to put the product in. The configuration bore no resemblance to what I asked for and wasn...
Shocking quality installation and really bad customer service
They messed up the measurements of our wardrobe, and installed it with the wrong measurements! Then they installed doors that are too big for the space so we can't actually open the whole wardrobe. I've asked for a solution and they claimed that this is normal and they have never had a complaint like mine before. Really unhappy customer!

Wardrobe doors beautiful, installed quickly, very pleased
We ordered our wardrobe doors about 2 weeks ago and were told it was the last day to order for installation before Christmas. My husband then called a couple of days later to confirm when they were coming and was told there was no order in place, and it was now too late for pre Christmas install. We then read the reviews here and panicked....HOWEVER they quickly got on top of it, put our order in to their system and managed to install them well before Christmas. Quality looks great, and they are absolutely beautiful, so we are thrilled. Thanks Regency!
Worst company ever
Id like to say as a former employee of regency cardiff this is the wprst company to work for and even order from. The 5 months i was there they didnt train me yet i was expected to know everything i was a installer wardrobe maker and glass cutter. Im sorry to say people in the office cant run the place they get one hell of a paycheck for doing nothing stuffing people around abusing their workers they change workers every few months just due to the harrasment and crap they put you through. We are on $20 per hour and the company after all expense...s make 11 million a year not joking. They treat customers like a joke the wood for wardrobes is crap trust me i know they over charge cant even order in the right amount of stock and its the workers fault apparently. They are bad i cant stress enough please save your money dont go to jeld wen dont go to steg bar all owned the same you will have half done jobs hard time getting a refund promises that arent kept if you go for a job there expect very low pay extra hours taking ot up to 50 hrs per week but dont get paid for the overtime if the company is laking in anything stock etc your career is over they will sack u on the spot scott carpenter and phil from regency should be sacked and arent worth talking to or working for

Dream Walk In!
I had regency install a large WIR, and Semi Frameless Showerscreen in December 2016, followed by a Linen in February 2017.
I am absolutely elated with my WIR! The sales rep Tim was lovely, very knowledgeable and helped design the perfect space to fit all my clothes (too many) and shoes (way too many). It was finished off with soft close drawers which is a nice touch. It is a dream come true for me. The Linen is wonderful also and the Hiro doors I selected look fantastic and you can feel the quality.
From memory, install of showerscreen ...and WIR took about 2-3 weeks from ordering and the delay for install of the linen was because I was waiting on my builder to complete some work first. It was no drama to push this out at all and once I advised it was ready, Tim came out and did a recheck (floors had been sanded) and from then it was about two weeks. I received a call the day before install on all three occasions with an approximate time and the fitter was there when he said he would be every time - one was actually early which I didn't mind as he called ahead. WIR & Linen installer was a little bit sloppy in his appearance but he did a good job so that's the most important thing. Showerscreen installer was awesome and done in half an hour. I am in Brisbane.
Worst company and useless installer
Installer not only installed my robes so as the space allowed wasn't wide enough to hang my clothes he also used a drop saw in my garage where we have a classic car. Another tradie that was there on the day told him to either cover the car or saw outside, he just shrugged and kept going. Because he installed it wrong I had to wait 5 weeks for them to send the same so called fitter, so now he's gone and I'm left with the mess, shelving crooked and holes from him ripping off my plaster. Take a hike regency, so called reputable company. Do NOT use this company, a big thumbs down.
Still waiting on built in wardrobes...
Ordered built in wardrobes 3 MONTHS AGO and still chasing them... 6 WEEKS LATER I called and was told 2 weeks... now 4 WEEKS LATER I went in there personally. I was told they had spoken to the company and would call me in half an hour but that they had the rest of the wardrobe and could install that... which could have been done ages ago and noone told us. They were waiting on the doors only. No phonecall so called next day and arranged installation. I could not possibly recommend this company to anyone I wish I had found this website before I ...went to them. UPDATE: finally installed at the beginning of SEPTEMBER (this was ordered back in mid JUNE and we were told 6 weeks!!) and the installer did an amazing job despite the miscalculated measurements BUT the doors were wrong and a cheap version of what we ordered. The trim on them had been retrofitted so there were gaps. Got them taken away to be made properly and was told they'd be back by the weekend. Another 6 WEEKS LATER they ring and I got the doors reinstalled in OCTOBER. Two days later they demand payment. We paid by the end of the week yet I think that was generous on our part considering! DO NOT RECOMMEND FIND OTHER COMPANIES :(
Regency - Disgraceful Service, Pathetic Product - AVOID at all costs!
Ordered 2 build in wardrobes from this poor excuse for a company, my first big mistake. After waiting a mammoth 8 weeks after being promised a 3 to 4 turnaround, I had a disgruntled installer turn up 2 hours after he told me he would be there. The materials used were scuffed, chipped, discoloured and of extremely poor quality. When I questioned the installer on the quality of the product he snapped back and said that Regency are a joke and the product I was getting was good compared to their usual poor standards. It had nothing to do with as he...was just an installer. His appearance was tardy, his boots were dirty and his van was filthy. What kind of company representative was this? On completion, the wardrobes were flimsy, poorly assembled and one of the doors was chipped. I rang the office to lodge a complaint and was blown off with a promise of a return call. After 3 attempts over the next 10 day's, I finally got a response where I was told that they really can't help from this office. I was then transferred to the so called customer service manager who had no idea what she was talking about. She was rude, obnoxious and far from helpful. I have never been dealt with such disdain in my entire life. This person is a joke. In the end after playing all these games with a company where customer service is non-existent, I simply gave up. I called my carpenter who rectified the issues and he did an amazing job which is far cry from what Regency is able to do. Avoid at all costs. Regency cannot be trusted.

Failed to show on their own install date, called their office who stated it was following week, when told incorrect admitted to office error, re arranged closer date. Yep, fail to contact or show. Contact Labrador office and put thought to logistics, no record and denial of conversation three days earlier, no help and too late at 10:00 am to install, we can fit you in following Wednesday!!! Day after the original mistaken date and again denied mistake and earlier conversation. When informed this was not good enough it was basically too bad, but changed date to Monday but when asked for a time, anywhere after 6:00 am! Now missed two days work, suggest their logistics section need to get their act together.
Great customer service, excellent product, perfect installation
I was slightly hesitant to use Regency Showerscreens and Wardrobes as I had read less than positive reviews!! My first contact was with Regency's very professional representative Steve - who arrived on time, knew the product back to front and gave me an "extremely" competitive quote. Steve said that the frameless mirrored 4 door wardrobe would be installed in 2 weeks - which it was. Brent the installer arrived on time, 2 weeks later, he was extremely polite/professional and installed the wardrobe without a hiccup AND without any mess!! The customer service and follow up has been of the highest calibre. I would definitely recommend Regency!!
Don't use Regency
Do not deal with Regency for anything. The built-ins they installed were pulled out one week later by their Head Installer who described them as "atrocious". The pull out damaged all the paint work and took pieces of timber off my walls and [name removed] the "Customer Service" Manager (and I use that term very loosely) refused to pay for the wall fix up and said "take us to court" and would only refund my deposit on the condition that I dropped my request for them to fix up my walls. Then they took 2 weeks to refund the deposit. Their Head Ins...taller who did the removal of their appalling job said to me "I would not have this product in my house." I had 3 cabinet makers look at the builtins before they were pulled out and they were amazed at how bad they were. Why Regency is not bankrupt yet is amazing. Absolutely atrocious product - bad quality, appalling installation, terrible rude customer service
Pleasantly surprised after reading these reviews
I read these reviews AFTER I had already paid a deposit to the saleslady so was naturally concerned about whether I would have to go through the same hassles as others have previously. As a result, I made sure I rang up exactly a week after I had paid to see whether they had an install date. I was concerned when they said they needed to get back to me - my first thought was "oh no, here we go". The day afterwards, someone did get back to me and confirm a date but I was still sceptical as to whether they would turn up on the date as nominated.... The installer, [name removed], did call that morning of the install to say he was coming and was able to install a mirrored wardrobe in good time. He also noted a flaw in one of the mirrored panels, so told me someone else was going to call me back after the weekend to organise a new replacement and install time. Surprisingly, they did and he came back on the agreed date and now I have some very nicely fitted wardrobes. These were also less expensive than Stegbar as they had a % off sale which brought the price down nicely. I'm not usually a person who posts reviews but given my experience and the difference between others who have posted, I thought it would provide a fairer picture for people considering Regency. Price was less than others, saleslady suggested a configuration which minimised cost. The installer was very good and the final workmanship was good too. There is a credit card surcharge for transactions - if you want to avoid this but still pay by credit card make sure you pay their accounts at least a couple of days in advance.
Not enough time or space to tell of our experience with Regency. We finally have a product we are happy with albeit after having the bowed doors replaced, our builder fix the jambs and reattach the floor plate and our WIR internals not installed before Easter as promised. These guys insist on COD so you have no time to properly check the finished product, they charge a credit card fee so unless you have a wad of cash to pay them you have no option. When I asked to get a reconciliation of payments from their office I was gruffly told I needed to...take it up with the office...but I still had to pay him now. I'd go so far as to say I felt intimidated. Never again. The internals are good and the sales rep was reliable...shame he had little control over what comes after him Everything else
Never, EVER use Regency for anything
Never, ever, ever make the mistake of using Regency. We ordered a new wardrobe to be installed. The sales consultant was good - really new her stuff. But once you've placed the order and paid the deposit it goes rapidly downhill from there.
Firstly, they won't contact you - we had to contact them to find out when it was going to be installed (a number of weeks after we'd placed the order).
Secondly, on the morning of the install, we get a call to say they can't do the install on that day anymore. Which was a problem since we'd booke...d to have carpet installed the following day. After complaining and persisting, they eventually agreed to install the following morning (before the carpet was installed in the afternoon). They installer turns up without the necessary components to complete the job. There must be something fundamentally wrong with how Regency manages and runs their company. They couldn't plan their way out of a paper-bag. Never, ever use them! You have been warned. No communication with customer, don't deliver what is promised, don't turn up when agreed with the required components
Funny how there was nothing on the review section when I looked up this forum - must be a regency salesMAN that has replied. I hope it is not the same one that ignored me for 45 mins whilst I was in the store - after they had taken my money for the job and refused to return it when I was less than impressed with the customer service I recieved. In my personal view and after having purchasing 3 wardrobes I would not recommend them to build a wardrobe for my blind grandma (even she would be able to release the POOR WORKMANSHIP......)
I requested to have new mirror sliding doors to be installed for my wardrobe 2 weeks ago. After having the consultant who was wonderful come out and offer great advise and service, my regency experience soon went down hill.
My appointment was cancelled twice from your company for which I have been nothing more than understanding and compliant. Today the installer called me at 7am after I specifically asked to not be called before 8am. He stated that he would be at the house to install the wardrobe at 9am. He arrived at 9.45am and from the m...oment he walked in the door he was very very rude to myself and my father. A total smart [censored word removed]. When asked why he didn't come at 9am he proceeded to tell us that he never said that and I was lying and became quite intimidating stating "he said he would be here later in the day". - As if we have all the time int he world to wait around for him! Once he had installed the sliding mirrors and had left we found a scratch on the bottom of the wardrobe!! We didn't want to call him back into the house as he was already hostile towards us and I didn't want to make the situation worse. I just want to add WHY would regency bother telling you they would ring between 7-9am to let you know when they would be over if they are just going to say i'll be there some time later!!! I was happy with the sliding mirrors, they look great (apart from the scratch) but i would never use regency again as the service was so bad. I would also not recommend this company to anyone at all. I would rather pay more for reliable and friendly service.
Unprofessional, unreliable, irresponsible and immoral
I contracted Regency to install a wardrobe into my apartment.
On the first installation date, my existing wardrobe was removed, following which a design fault was identified and the new wardrobe could not be installed.
A second installation date was made for nearly 1 week later. In the meantime, the entire contents of my wardrobe took over my tiny apartment. I couldn't cook and daily tasks such as taking a shower or getting from my bed to my front door became dangerous. Did I mention I was 7 months pregnant at the time!
On the second...installation date, the wardrobe STILL was unable to be completed as a final piece was not the correct size. Then there was the issue of a large amount of cash going "missing" during the installation. I have since learned that because Regency employ sub-contractors, they are not legally responsible for any "incidents" that occur during an installation. Morally responsible, perhaps, but not legally responsible. So, regardless of whether the installers stole the money or were negligent by not taking reasonable steps to secure my apartment when it was left unattended, Regency cannot be help accountable. In my case, Regency have chosen not to take a moral responsibility for my "missing" money. Instead, because payment was delayed as a result of the "missing" money, Regency chose to escalate the matter to a debt collection agency. Even though the final piece of the wardrobe was yet to be installed!
