Too much deposit
Asking for a 100% deposit then needing to wait for a January install is a bit much
50% deposit is more realistic. We went to another local company that just asked for a more reasonable deposit terms

6 weeks wait without installation
We had the shower screens measured and were told that they'd be installed in three weeks time.
After three weeks, they said they need another 10 days because something went wrong!
After the 10 days, they said that the screens that they received were not the right ones we ordered and they need another 9 working days.
So after 6 weeks, we're still without the shower screens.
We had to cancel the order as we lost all trust in their ability to deliver on their promised dates.

The office staff and management do not return phone calls emails and are extremely rude to customers do not use this company find someone who wants your business and are professional

I called about a new shower screen. Gave measurements and was told I would be contacted re quote: 2 weeks later, still waiting. I have a shower with no door!

Too Large for Residential Customer Service
Booked a quote in late November 2020 - with two week wait. The rep came two days late after an excuse. The shower screen design was confirmed after a full on-site measure. The wait was going to be a month due to Christmas but we went with Regency and paid a little more only because they could build the screen to our spec. and their frame was not going to be as bulky as the competition. compromise screen (not what we really wanted) and insisted upon a discount (as we could have done the whole job much cheaper with another company with the kind of screen that was now going to be installed). They rang back a week later and said they couldn't do the job. We have rung maybe 6 times. Three weeks and no return of deposit! Still waiting and the receptionist said "we are a big company" in response. Totally shocking experience with Regency and a total waste of time!2 comments

2.5 months. The screen installer that I contracted afterwards did the job in a few weeks to the spec. required and cheaper. Regency couldn't do this in a reasonable time frame and they screwed up multiple times. They didn't even offer any kind of goodwill after everything was called off for the 2nd time.Similar opinion? Don't expect quality
Brand new shower screen was installed with a very noticeable scratch in the frame. Had to complain to two managers before the company agreed to replace the panel. The whole frame was replaced but they then left out the drainage channel in the bottom panel even thought the guy who installed said it was usual to have this. Glass came with a palm-sized frosted mark which has not come out with regular cleaning products. Frame is not finished on top - the reason I got was because it was too expensive to do this nowadays. Cheaper companies still do this. Not showroom quality.

Slow Process
The process of getting the wardrobe door replaced was a slow and difficult one without appropriate communication. I was constantly chasing them up and it got very tedious in the end.

Would not use again
Now this review is based on my experience from 12 months ago so they might have got their act together since then but I doubt it. From the moment I placed my order and paid a deposit they were hopeless. I had to call 3 separate occasions to simply find out when my screen was going to be installed and that was a week past it's estimated delivery. Then when they were expected to come and install the showescreen the guy was a no show with no phone call. Only after complaining and dealing with the manager did someone come. ks past the expected date I think finally I can put this behind me but nope, one of the panels was measured incorrectly and they had to get it remade. After promises from the manager it would be sorted in a few days... guess what more no shows and not even a phone call to explain why... again back on the phone complaining to him... about him. Took 2 no shows to finally get it in and within a month the door started squeaking. So even after all the rubbish service, I didn't even get a good product. Find another company!
I had 3 shower screens installed by them. One aluminum rail had some slight scratches on installation, which I thought would only be an aesthetic issue but after 1 year of use it is now corroding. Sent them 2 photos (clearly showing the scratch marks) but they rejected the warranty claim instantly, saying that they can see some corrosion on the front face of the rail so I must have used chemicals and not rinsed off properly - yes, apparently I failed to rinse off properly at those 2 spots on every clean over 1 year.

corrosions they are referring to on the front face are just reflections of the silicon under the rail. Thats how clean and shiny the front face is. This is the level of incompetence I'm dealing with. Even though their own warranty policy states that goods will be inspected before deciding on a claim, yet they refuse to come out and have a look. Fair Trading couldn't talk sense into them so now I've lodged a case with QCAT to have the full amount refunded. Any reasonable person will see what this company is desperately trying to do to avoid a warranty claim so can't wait to see them make a fool of themselves at the hearing.2 comments

Very poor quality, installation, communication, company organisation!
Very poor quality, company organisation and communication. Regency has come to measure, install and fix our shower screen 8 times. Poor communication for when they were attending and had to chase myself. On occasion at the time they were meant to arrive received a phone call to say the parts just weren't in the van, very disappointing after being home all day. Very poor fit initially on install day, remeasured and then installed, panel was scratched and needed replacement. Then it leaked! Definitely wouldn't think a shower screen would need 8 h...Read more

Terrible Service
Had an issue with my new shower screens supplied and installed by Regency. Six months after installation, doors are jammed. They are supposed to swing both ways but now they can only open inwards but not outwards. Small issues really. They are still under warranty so could have been an easy fix. But had to call several times before Regency agrees to send someone to fix it. First time no body even show up on the date promised. Second time a repair person came and did fix the problem in an hour. But through out the whole time he was very unhappy. Feels like he didn't even want to be here and he's way of talking certainly showed us that. The problem was fixed but the experience was very poor I have to say.

Do yourself a favour and simply AVOID these guys.
It took 2 months for two wardrobes to get installed. Countless delays first to get the timber and parts, then on the first visit, the fitter realised the guy who had taken the measurements didn’t take accurate measures and could only install one of the wardrobes only. So we arranged to work from home one day the week after and got a call 30 minutes after the time the fitter was supposed to get there only to find out his car had broken down. Do not use this company
Very unprofessional. Never call back or answer phone. Waited all day for installation only to be told "Ahh, no the guy that does that did not come in today, we will reschedule, I will call you straight back". Still waiting, nobody answering any of their phones.
UPDATE:
Tried all day to contact anyone at Regency, nobody home. Next day finally got someone to answer a phone. Found guy for install, lost mounting brackets. Want to know what I am thinking about now. NO YOU DON'T!!!

Terrible- don't use them
Regency Newcastle were so bad I had to threaten to take them to court. After taking months longer than promised to install a shower screen it then had major problems- leaks, no silicone used to stop water getting behind the glass, visible cracks in the tiles where they had drilled screw holes.
They then didn't return calls or emails for 3 months until I contacted Fair Trading NSW.
Repairers then turned up unannounced at 7 in the morning when my wife had just returned from hospital with our new baby.
I finally listed the case with the Small Claims Tribunal after Regency threatened to destroy my credit rating and take me to court.

Could not run a chook raffle
Hopeless, I have waited two weeks for my shower screen to turn up. The day was organised for today and I took the day off...
Guess what? They have misplaced a part of the screen and will not be coming.
Message on my phone at 7-30 am with no possibility of talking to them until 8-30.
Those guys could not run a chook raffle.

Worst service ever .. they installed a scratched frame and the door is uneven. I'm sick of death of dealing with these people.. no one calls back. Terrible customer service. Installer shows up late with no phone call.. installer is rude. The lady at the office is rude and will transfer you to no one just a empty line.. Installer had the wrong part so we waited 2 weeks... installer on the day with the new part had the wrong door returns at 5:30pm on a Friday afternoon to install the door ... i considered taking them to the ACCC but i just CBF. I'm going to tell alot of people these guys are hopeless.

I have an investment unit in Fyshwick and visited the Regency/Stegbar showroom at the HIA centre. The lady at the branch was great but thats where it ended.
We wanted a range of internal shelving solutions that were fairly tricky but was assured by the rep that came to measure that it wasn't an issue and all would be good. What turned up was a load of packing material with dents, scratches and edge tape peeling. The installer knew this and still proceeded to put the product in. 7 Visits and 5 MONTHS LATER!!!!!
The Branch in Canberra is absolutely hopeless and frankly I don't know how they are still in business. We had a Semi- Frameless shower fitted in our investment property and wanted to put a better looking product than the old framed products to attract a better rental opportunity. The first visit was from a rep that spent literally 5 minutes with me and then disappeared. I took a chance and gave them the job only to find that someone had to come back and measure- Surely they could have done that the first time.?

Shocking quality installation and really bad customer service
They messed up the measurements of our wardrobe, and installed it with the wrong measurements! Then they installed doors that are too big for the space so we can't actually open the whole wardrobe. I've asked for a solution and they claimed that this is normal and they have never had a complaint like mine before. Really unhappy customer!

Do not use this company or Stegbar as they use the same installers and factory.
Initial contact with salesperson was fine, showed up on time, measured and provided a competitive quote. Went through the same process with Stegbar salesperson with same result. We chose the Regency option as it was more suited to our bathroom. That's when our experience turned sour. The first installer showed up on time but couldn't complete the job as the factory had provided sills that were too short. This meant they had to remake them and rebook the install. Hi, I have just had new tiles put in, and I think the membrane must of been broken, I need to know two things, do I remove the shower screen first or the old tiles in the shower recess( I didn't have these removed at the time I had the rest done) and the other is will I have to replace the borders if that is what you call them.
