Bought another set of these clippers will be returning them they dont even cur properly a waste of money end up using the scissors to cut my husbands hair, they were a bit blunt when i bought the too
Too powerless and blunt to cut hair on it's first use.
Have had a previous Remington trimmer which was great, but ended up too blunt to keep cutting hair.
So rather than muck around sharpening blades, we bought the HC1090 remington hair cutting kit to replace the old blunt one.
Even though both trimmers looked the same, they are very different in quality.
The new HC1090 is 5 watts, the old one is 12 watts
The new one has a garbage bag as a hair cloak, the old one was vinyl
The new HC1090 has a pair of rubbish scissors included comparable to a child's $2 kindergarten craft set, the previous trimmers had quite a good quality scissors and comb.
But the reason I'm writing this review, is that the new Remington HC1090 hair cutting set was unable to cut hair fresh out of the box (or more accurately "military grade plastic security packaging" - for goodness sake, you shouldn't need workshop tools to unwrap a useless 5 watt domestic appliance)
Lesson learnt - buy a decent "pivot" or "rotary head" powered set of hair trimmers. No matter how cheap something is, if it doesn't work it's a waste of money and time.
