Price does not make sense
The tv add shows all the extras are free. the basic ladder in tv shop is $.399.
How come I was charged $880. This means the extras are not free.
Bought this cheap and my hubby loves it!
Found this new and unused on Gumtree.. was too heavy for the lady who bought it. Just the ticket for my hubby but at 19kg I won't be carrying it anywhere! Stable and strong!
Best ladder you can ever have
I have been using this ladder since April 2018, bought a second one for my employee this month.
It is the best ladder I have ever used. It is very sturdy, makes you feel safe all time you're on it.
It's worth the money.
Brand Developers REAL raison d'etre
What you good folk need to understand is that this crowd flogs rubbish, e.g. the pain eraser which is a fraud, this ladder which requires a weightlifter to use, treadmills designed to fit the stride of a 6 year old etc.
Their real intention is to get your details, as much as they can get about you, and that is why they won't tell you the price and make you wait for a call back. Then they sell your details for massive profits as a 'mailing list' to businesses that would like to know you have chronic pain, doing renovations, into fitness etc. ...Think of all the companies that would love to pitch their wares at a targeted audience. That is why they offer the really cheap money back guarantee trials and "but wait there's more!" inducements of free gifts, but one get one free, etc. and you pay for the courier both ways, have to fight for your refunds or after sales service and so on. It's a scam. What they're doing and where they make their real money is called Data Mining.
worth every cent.
Bought it when the cost was about $550, plus a set of steak knives. At age 68
I painted my who;e house which is on a very steep block. That was the second time I had painted the house. the adjusting leg made it easy.
This ladder is handy but is too heavy for myself and my uncle to easliy use.
Also far to dear for what it is andcan get simliar ladder and assessories at places like Bunnings
Great strong universal ladder
I used two of these ladders to paint a 30 ft boat, would not of achieved this with any other laddders a scaffold was my only other option but in a tight area it would of been to cumbersome, the 90 degree angle I could achieve with this ladder was a god send, with the plank made it so easy, the only way it would of been any better if I had two more, yes it’s heavy but at 195 cm in height and 118 kg I to am heavy not once did I feel unsafe or at risk from this ladder, well built and highly recommended from a home handy man
Fantastic clever design.Yes, it is heavy but you expect this from such a versatile product.I used it to hang a heavy mirror above a staircase.Only possible with a ladder like this.Use it a lot.GREAT!
Don't buy this thing...
Too bloody heavy, its like having a heavy training session..
I had been seeing the ads a fair bit, so one late night. I decided to make the call to find out how much it cost. Big mistake.
Pile of crap. Don't buy.
i could of bought a 1080 ti with the money i used on this ladder. Damn these guys for selling an overpriced shaped piece of lead don't buy unless you are the hulk and even then it would still have problems and damn break.
TOO HEAVY FOR A WOMAN
The first time I used this ladder was to paint my sister's bedroom. It was so heavy and difficult to manouver. Not as easy as the instructor portrays on TV. It frustrated me so much, that I put it back in my car after 15 mins, and went to Bunnings and bought a light aluminium ladder. It was soooo much better and easier to use. What a waste of my money buying the Renovator ladder. I'm sure it will sit in my shed collecting dust.
Strong, but too heavy for anyone with an injury like myself, or an average woman
I had been seeing the ads a fair bit, so one late night. I decided to make the call to find out how much it cost. Big mistake. The call centre claim they don't know, and will only take my details, so the sales staff will call me back.
I think the law must be changed, forcing such ads to show the full price and payment options in large enough font, and duration, so that everyone is informed prior to speaking to a pushy manipulative sales person. I have read enough reviews, and comments from people who would have not bought the item/s had the...y known how much it costs. I hummed and ahhhed, and the sales person was a master at manipulation. I nearly had a heart attack when I found out it was over ＄1100. They pushed the extras, and the free extras. One of which I didn't want, so they asked what other items from their list I wanted. They must be over stocked. They also pushed the money back guarantee if I returned it within 30 days. Yeah right, how many people could be bothered repackaging it all in the boxes, especially considering they only fit one way, otherwise they won't fit. The cost to return would have been astronomical, which is another reason why many won't return them. I have a mate with a courier van, and he said he'd return them for me, but we couldn't get them back in the boxes, and I was too lazy. Overall, the ladder and accessories aren't too bad, and seem pretty strong. I doubt very much that the ladder could handle the weight of a car, let alone a 4x4. My biggest complaint is that everything is so heavy. Silly me paid the extra for the expendable platform. It's a decent size, but is so heavy that with my back injury I can't lift it. My Wife who is strong can't lift it either, she can't even lift one end without straining herself, and she will come home from shopping, and carry a 30 can box of coke in one hand, ten bags in the other, and a 10kg bag of kitty litter under her arm. The ladder extends, and spreads as advertised, but because it's so heavy, I can see many back injuries being suffered, by owners of the ladder.
Very poor back up service , bought the ladder 2 weeks ago , still waiting to clear up issues with th
Unfortunately can’t comment on the ladder as we are still unable to use it . Nobody can offer any details to fix , send back or troubleshooting. Next time we will be heading to local hardware shop.
Works for us
Heavy and cumbersome. But it is well made and does the jobs well. Sturdy. We feel we are safe when using. Down side is all the extras make storage a problem. Maybe a purpose made Sturdy container would solve this.
Too heavy and hard to manipulate
The point about a ladder is it has to be light and strong. What I got was heavy, covered with safety warnings and had complicated spring loaded operating bars and knobs. I can see this as being one of those things that gets used a couple of times and then sits for years until a clean out. My advice is to only buy something you can physically inspect before you pay for it.
1 x Renovator Transforma Ladder - 5 Step Ladder Kit 180KG
Who Sells an OVERPRICED Ladder to an 85 year old Great Grandmother?
One of these was delivered a couple of weeks ago.
The courier brought it to their front door, leaning up against the house.
I didn't know that 85 year old Great Grandma was brainwashed by TV commercials into buying this HEAVY complicated thing. By the time I got there to see it, the rain had damaged the bottom of the carton.
I moved it to a more weather protected place. It is really heavy, too heavy for a Great Grandma.
I am horrified by the price. $1,260 for a 5 metre ladder. That is crazy. I know that a 5 metre mobile scaffold costs exac...
First Experience With Transforma
I am a retired 66 yo 6ft male with limited strength who has just fallen off a conventional lightweight(7kg) aluminium ladder which was damaged when it fell I needed to replace the ladder with something a bit better. I had seen adds for transforma ladder and noted from all other reviews you will either love or hate this ladder. The cost of the ladder is too high but because I got a lot of extras such as the paint roller, extra pair of hands and the work platforms I was prepared to pay the price on a time payment basis with a 10% discount so I on...ly had to outlay $256 initially to get the monster delivered. In fact it was the work platforms mainly that attracted me to the ladder. I read the reviews and listened to the advertising statements. I asked the TV Shop sales person about the weight of both the T24 and T35 there was little difference in weight 19.6 kg and the other 20kg. So I decided on the T35 180Kg version because I weigh about 130kg. When it arrived in a big box it took two people to lift into house. The weight is added by the accessories (work platforms, wall standoff, leg levellers). I dragged the box onto back deck could not pull ladder out of box due to my limited strength so I pulled box apart and then removed accessories except the cheese grater platforms as the were tucked into the ladder steps with a large plastic cover over the ladder. I levered the ladder up on to its feet and ripped off the plastic, removed work platforms then started to open the ladder the top clips clicked into place. however they were stiff to push in so had to hit them with heel of my palms to work them to close the ladder in preparation for extending the ladder.. At this stage I was wondering why I got fooled like others thinking it was going to be easy. I pulled out the side clips and tried to lift the ladder insert up to extend the ladder I found the weight too much. So I decided to look at instructions and view the DVD. Surprise you can extend it by leaning the ladder to one side or the other this was much easier than in the upright position. Well so far I am impressed with features and accessories but like others I am not sure the weight is going to make it easy to move around. Already I am thinking to make a platform for my hand trolley so I can shift it around my yard. After I have used it a while I will return here to write more review notes. Others who are in my age bracket have stated in their review that it makes it easy to change light globes and do repairs etc. My House has high raked ceilings and I am hoping that it will help with the cleaning of cobwebs and repairs to lights etc.???
Too Damn Heavy
Don’t buy this ladder if you are a woman in your own. You need to have massive weight lifting ability to manoeuvre the ladder about as it’s too damn heavy.
The ladder itself is definitely good in relation to its abilities, but like I said.... you need to have big muscles to move it about. It weighs heaps.
The bloke in the telly that advertises it, showing you all the positions the ladder can be put into, SHOULD be warning people that the ladder weighs heaps and if you’re not a strong person, then the ladder is definitely not for you.
the best ever
i painted my house at the age off 68 bougt it for my husband more than 9 years ago we love it.and use it all the time so do my sons
A good product
I purchased my ladder some time back and only used it a few times as a ladder and found it to be satisfactory. When I decided paint inside this is when I found the ladder to be excellent in its design and functions. The work platform concept was great for removing and replacing light fittings. The almost 90 degree angle for accessing the the corners of walls and ceilings was good and the tressel feature made patching and painting high walls and ceilings relatively easy. Not being a ladder person I did feel secure performing these tasks compare...d to my old step and and extension ladders. Being of sturdy construction, I personally do struggle a little when moving and positioning the ladder but I'm sure that for most people this would not be a problem.
I love my transforms ladder
Best transforma ladder well made because is Hervey it is made out of good material it is the best ladder I have ever owned i brought t35 and going to buy the t24
February 8th 2018 Update: Best ladder ever
My husband brought the t35 we have painted the inside of our house and my wife used it and felt safe on it . A very strong and well made and we have just purchase the t24 for our cabin . Thank you for a well made and strong ladder
I hate it.
I thought this would be a great ladder. Not only was is extremely heavy and hard to move, the runs are too thin and uncomfortable and are widely spaced The locking mechanism is dangerous. Because of the weight when i was closing it up for storage my fingers got lock in it. Also the work platform is awkward and hard to use. I hate it and wish id never wasted my money on it.
Beware - this ladder weighs 20kg & I couldn't lift it
I ordered the Renovator Transforma Ladder, the smaller 120kg rated version - at a cost of around $700, from Brand Developers / TV Shop in Melbourne. I paid $49 to have it shipped to my location in Sydney. The sales person advised me of the height, width, depth, etc., all the accessories, but failed to mention the weight. Having only ever owned a regular 120kg rated ladder from Bunnings, which weighs in at about 5kg or so, I didn't even think to ask. The guy on TV makes it look light & easy to move around. Don't be fooled!
