Weighs a tonne
Great ladder with good functions & accessories BUT the promo video on tv, where the chic throws it in the back of the Ute. Yeah, not happening. I need a hand!
Purchased in December 2019.
A knockoff of a better product
Was interested in buying this... UNTIL I did some proper research and realised it's just a bad knockoff of the superior (and cheaper) Little Giant Leveler ( Model 22 or 26) - available everywhere with a lifetime warranty.
Purchased in December 2021 at TVshop for $1,550.
Too much obscure marketing
Was prepared to buy ladder as hubby is currently working on stairs and ladder would come in handy. Tried to purchase online, nope can’t do that, called, and low and behold as previous reviews stated, they are busy and someone will call back. Must not be confident in product, to try such sales tactics, I’ll try bunnings instead.
Plastic parts are a real let down
All the blue plastic part have get brittle and break and chip of as well as faded looking etc
The ladder itself still is fine and is a reasonable product but is a bit of an embarrassment to look at
This ladder appears to be very well made, but it is EXTREMELY heavy and very very difficult to move around. Very very unstable when using the scaffolding feature ... dangerously wobbly.
Purchased for $1,200.
When labour is fully extended the middle part joint wobbles very unsafe
Win ladder is fully extended the middle joint wobbles very unstable & and too heavy to carry around very chunky the good thing about it you can use it as a tristel that's it really
Purchased in August 2019 for $800.
Sales people will not say price
Very bad sales practices are ruining what is a very good product. You should inform price on initial inquiry without the obvious harvesting. Bunnings can provide superior goods at a great price with excellent service. Good luck!
My poor dad
My Father bought this ladder and was upsold all the extras (over 1k) - He believed the hype that this ladder would be suitable for his apartment - When I came to visit him and discovered it there blocking the entrance to his apartment I was shocked. He tried to return it (He has never used it as its too big and heavy for him) I wish the salesperson had a little bit more compassion and understanding and allowed for its return.
Purchased in November 2019 for $1,000.
TOO HEAVY FOR A WOMAN
The first time I used this ladder was to paint my sister's bedroom. It was so heavy and difficult to manouver. Not as easy as the instructor portrays on TV. It frustrated me so much, that I put it back in my car after 15 mins, and went to Bunnings and bought a light aluminium ladder. It was soooo much better and easier to use. What a waste of my money buying the Renovator ladder. I'm sure it will sit in my shed collecting dust.
Strong, but too heavy for anyone with an injury like myself, or an average woman
I had been seeing the ads a fair bit, so one late night. I decided to make the call to find out how much it cost. Big mistake. The call centre claim they don't know, and will only take my details, so the sales staff will call me back.
I think the law must be changed, forcing such ads to show the full price and payment options in large enough font, and duration, so that everyone is informed prior to speaking to a pushy manipulative sales person. I have read enough reviews, and comments from people who would have not bought the item/s had the...y known how much it costs. I hummed and ahhhed, and the sales person was a master at manipulation. I nearly had a heart attack when I found out it was over ＄1100. They pushed the extras, and the free extras. One of which I didn't want, so they asked what other items from their list I wanted. They must be over stocked. They also pushed the money back guarantee if I returned it within 30 days. Yeah right, how many people could be bothered repackaging it all in the boxes, especially considering they only fit one way, otherwise they won't fit. The cost to return would have been astronomical, which is another reason why many won't return them. I have a mate with a courier van, and he said he'd return them for me, but we couldn't get them back in the boxes, and I was too lazy. Overall, the ladder and accessories aren't too bad, and seem pretty strong. I doubt very much that the ladder could handle the weight of a car, let alone a 4x4. My biggest complaint is that everything is so heavy. Silly me paid the extra for the expendable platform. It's a decent size, but is so heavy that with my back injury I can't lift it. My Wife who is strong can't lift it either, she can't even lift one end without straining herself, and she will come home from shopping, and carry a 30 can box of coke in one hand, ten bags in the other, and a 10kg bag of kitty litter under her arm. The ladder extends, and spreads as advertised, but because it's so heavy, I can see many back injuries being suffered, by owners of the ladder.
Too Damn Heavy
Don’t buy this ladder if you are a woman in your own. You need to have massive weight lifting ability to manoeuvre the ladder about as it’s too damn heavy.
The ladder itself is definitely good in relation to its abilities, but like I said.... you need to have big muscles to move it about. It weighs heaps.
The bloke in the telly that advertises it, showing you all the positions the ladder can be put into, SHOULD be warning people that the ladder weighs heaps and if you’re not a strong person, then the ladder is definitely not for you.

Hi, I bought the transformer ladder a few years ago no and got all the parts available at the time however, when using the ladder as 2 x trestles, I notice the current models have a v brace to join the two secondary ladders together. Should mine have these? Using the little toggles to join them together without any bracing is quite dangerous as I found out yesterday as the ladder is able to move quite freely
