Still love this retro style heater after 10yrs use

published

We still love this retro style heater after 10 years use. And it still works perfectly. Has never skipped a beat. We check it annually ourselves (i.e. ensure that hoses don't leak, and we remove dust etc. using a computer monitor cleaning air-can) and we also keep it covered during the summer months to avoid dust build up on the elements etc... But otherwise we do nothing but use it, and it's perfect for our lounge room in winter. And I love it's retro look. Very happy customer here. Long live our Rinnai Titan! The price was very fair too.

Purchased in June 2010 at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances for A$500.00.

Fantastic heater

published

After purchasing our Rinnai gas heater we had our warmest winter ever. It is very easy to use and has excellent safety functions. It comes with two heat settings, but i hardly ever needed to have it on the high setting. I cant recommended this heater highly enough. Five stars from me

Great heater, Rinnai might cost a bit more but it is a quality heater that will last you a life time. Very easy to use, there are 2 settings and warms the room quite quickly. It's small and easy to move around and the design and color suits our modern interior. Would certainly recommend this heater

great heater - Rinnai heaters last forever, are easy to service and easy to use. My sister-in-law is using a 30 y.o. Rinnai at the moment and there is nothing wrong with it except it looks dated (plastic woodgrain - when did that ever look good?). Cant recommend this heater enough.

A radiant ambience that is cosy, warm and quiet, with a modern design and colour (platinum silver). We simply love it, even our dogs love it. We gave up the avenger 25 for the granada 252. Awesome choice!
The efficient heating system (5.9 stars)is quiet (with or without the fan). Peace of mind - Safety features include oxygen depletion sensor and safety tilt switch. Operates during power failure.

what is the difference between the rinnai titan and rinnai granada?

1 answer
Rinnai
Rinnai A.Rinnai

Hi ELH,

Thanks for your question!

The Titan has two burner plates and can produce 3.7 kW of heat on the Highest setting. The Granada has three burner plates and can produce 6.0 kW of heat on the Highest setting.

The Granada requires more gas (25 mJ/h) compared to the Titan which requires 15 mJ/h of gas.

We hope this helps!

Thanks,
Rinnai Australia

Hi rusty, thanks for the question. Has the heater been serviced recently? It is recommended that gas appliances are serviced every 2 years. A build up of dust and debris can cause the unit to turn off for safety reasons.

You can book a service call online at the Rinnai Australia website here:

What type of nut is on the back of the hose connecting to the heater? I have a Bayonet hose on at the moment but want to change it to a gas bottle fitting. The heater is a propane heater.

Thanks

Hi DB B. Thanks for the question. This appliance cannot be run directly from a gas bottle and it is extremely dangerous to connect the heater hose to a cylinder. The cylinder must have a suitable regulator fitted to control the gas pressure and cannot be used in the same room as the gas heater. This type of heater is not the same as a patio heater or BBQ.

Thanks
