OUTSTANDING service and efficiency!!
6 STARS! These 2, 3, 4, 5 year old 1star reviews that ive read below couldnt be further from the experience i have had with them in the 2 years ive been with them. Not only do they get back to you urgently with every and any question ive had, they have been proactive and follow up after the initial question to ensure understanding and happiness with the answer/solution. Alan and Marc are the only 2 people ive dealt with and in QLD. I could not not be happier with both their, Particularly Alan's diligence and professionalism in every dealing with him. I honestly couldnt believe that others would have anything different to say about them. If i could rate 6 stars, I would!
Never ever rent thru these guys ever
When we first moved into a rental property they were fantatsic. Luke was excellent at property manager and he was always polite understandable etc. He left and we got a guy called tim. My god absolutely rude arrogant pathetic human ever. Treated us like druggos because my partner has diabetes and is on dialyisis carried on like a 2yr old when things werent up to his standards and lost most of our rent. Please dont ever rent thru the sunshine coast office you will come out in tears and get kicked out for no reason and you will be left homeless and miserable. This place is horrible stealers and appalling for a real estate.
A pleasure to rent with
Courteous, understanding and professional, both Tim & Mark were a pleasure to deal with throughout my tenancy. (I would not have left the home I was in had I not needed to downsize). The lines of communication were always open, inspections a breeze, any maintenance generally carried out within a couple of days. It's unfortunate the Tasmanian office has had some negative reviews but at almost half a world away the Sunshine Coast team were fantastic !! I would definitely recommend these guys.
Wanted to inspect a property but call was never returned
I’ve just read the reviews on here and thank god my call was never returned. I called up to try and book an inspection for a 4 bedroom house in Bald Hills QLD and the receptionist said the property manager was unavailable and my call would be returned.
I waited 4 days and called again but I was told there was no record of me calling. Again, I was inform they property manager was unavailable. At this point, I was so annoyed that I got angry at the receptionist and said ‘I don’t ever want to rent from a company that doesn’t put customers firs...t.’ In a way, I’m lucky and very glad to have been treated like crap before I ended up renting from Rock Property. My advice and the same with others on here is to stay away, they are very rude and unprofessional.
Worst property managers in Tasmania
Renting with Rock property has been the absolute worst housing experience I have ever had. Our property manager was rude, disrespectful and completely un-professional. They show up unannounced for inspections, then force themselves in. They also have never done any maintenance despite frequent requests, they raised the rent an unfair amount and continue to treat us poorly. It's horrible to be so taken advantage of, especially in hobart's current housing crisis.
I don't know why I'm paying a premium management fee...
I have had a really poor experience with Rock Property Group as a property owner/landlord. I pay a premium management fee for their services - above what I pay to competing real estate agents. While they got me a great tenant, they couldn't get the rent collected and deposited into my bank account. I had to tell them there was no rent - their systems never flagged the tenant wasn't paying. When they did deposit rent I would not know which property the rent comes from. Never seen this with all the other real estate agents I have dealt with ...in QLD. In all the years of owning property, I have never come across such basic services by a real estate agent being an issue. I am not sure why I am paying premium fees if they can't get the basics done. I haven't even asked for anything semi complex to be done yet by them and loathe the thought I would expect something more than rent to be collected and banked. They might actually need to work for their management fee. Rather than provide me a solution, and take care of it, they tell me to call my bank and work it out and that they don't personally have these problems with their investment properties - good for you! As a landlord, I'm disappointed to say Rock do not have a culture of providing client-focused service or solution-focused service. One wonders why they have the right to charge above market management fees. Playing Hillsong music while we wait for someone to answer the phone does not compensate for a lack of basic services being delivered to paying clients. I hate to admit that dealing with this people can sometimes mean you have to tolerate less than standard service. We will be moving on...
Rude. Takes advantage of clients. Will not speak to clients after days of attempting to call.
Rock property is terrible. They take advantage of clients. [name removed] especially is unreasonable. I attempted to call and discuss issues several times. I spoke to a manager who said she would call me back in 10 minutes... it's been 4 days and they still won't answer my calls.
Avoid Rock Property!
Rock property is hands down the worst real estate company both my partner and I have ever dealt with. They are unprofessional, lazy and rude.
If you need to contact your property manager be prepared to go in circles and have to call back a few time until you reach them. We were without a fridge for TWO MONTHS. By the time they finally organised someone to look at the fridge we had moved out (they hadn't even remembered we were leaving haha).
Our property manager, [name removed] came over without giving us notice in advance several times a...nd he even just walked right into our unit on one occasion! Our property manager also changed every other week and we were never informed. If we didn't fight to get all of our bond back we wouldn't have seen it, even though the place was spotless. The receptionists were no help, constantly pretending they knew less than did and it was so obvious. We went through the tenants union/bond authority. They were a massive help!
Never trust their words, please avoid!!!! Worst property and terrible managers with shocking service
I was a tenant with them for more than a year. I had to break the bond as I had to shift to Mainland. Since my lease was for a year I had to find a tenant to replace my agreement with. I found a tenant after a month of hard work and asked my applicant to apply for my room as replacement to my lease. I was asked to vacate and left the keys in front desk as advised the property manager ([name removed], Manager Rock property, Hobart). Two days after when I went to do my paper works I was asked to pay the rent since my room was not leased yet. Late...r I found that my replacement person was given another room saying some reason. Luckily I had to go to Tenants Union for help with all my evidence to get my bond amount back. Thank goodness I got my bond back with help of Legal service from Tenants Union Tasmania. It's not just me many students had faced this problem. If you have any problem like these contact (http://www.legalaid.tas.gov.au/referral-list/listing/tenants-union-of-tasmania) Don't Waste your time even if the property looks cheap!!! I recommend to avoid this property as you will never get quality service and please don't REGRET after taking this property!
Worst customer service, is this company a joke?
Over the space of two years I have tried to get our plumbing fixed... every month for some reason we get a new "property manager" if you can call them that, a twenty-something year old still in uni who seems to be training and quits within the month because they decide real estate is not for them, we then get a new property manager and then have to re-explain what the issue is (brown water coming from our taps, we buy bottled water because the running water in our home is not safe to drink) by the time a new property manager finally comes for a...n inspection they have left again by the next week, at least ten property managers over a two year period, all of which have been rude, late and had a very unprofessional manner, (one showing up late smelling of alcohol and cigarettes telling us he had a "big night last night" and was hungover today, really professional...) they finally sent a plumber and after the job was done they left all the pipes exposed above the ground which my husband had to dig trenches for. This is only the tip of the iceberg with the issues I have with them, how are they still in business? they treat their customers terribly and have such a bad reputation, also when you mention these issues to any other professional company they always laugh and say I know all about rock property, it's almost embarrassing to admit I live in one of their property's! March 23rd 2017 Update: Ashamed to be their tenant Rock property has the worst reputation possible I do not understand how they are still in business they are rude, have poor customer service and do not follow through on anything they promise. I have been on a phonecall with them and the way I was being spoken to was so disgusting I actually stopped the man to ask him why he had an attitude with me and if I had personally done something to him as I have never been treated that way. I have never had to speak to an adult as if they were a child before. These people have no time management or organisation it is humiliating to admit to people I am in one of their property's. I could go on for hours about their poor service and the trouble they have put us through but they have already wasted enough of my time - Tia
Hours spent on hold on the phone trying to contact them (no message bank)! They are the first to make contact if you fall a few $$ behind in rent but forget any maintenance and if they do, the owner is overcharged to the hilt!! Thankfully I have a good relationship with my owner and we have compared notes. They have a high staff turnover and my owner was horrified they chose to increase my rent by $25 without her knowledge! I could go on ......
Do not bother!
Absolutely useless! Was a tenant with them and it took them till the end of our lease after some prompting from us to finally let us know that we had been a week behind in rent all year. Would have been nice to know earlier on, but i guess they were too busy changing our property managers every few months and ignoring our maintenance requests. The property managers are never available and it can take up to a week for them to return your calls if they decide to return them at all. There is a serious communication issue with this company and absolutely no support system for the tenants. Would strongly advise going with another real estate company but if you do end up with rock document everything and take regular photos.
I myself was a tenant and know many people working with the Rock Property: if you are a tenant and you have a problem with the property, it takes months for them to fix it. Some of the employees might use a rude language with you- that is if you are lucky enough to reach the agent you are dealing with...I highly recommend to avoid the company (even if the property looks cheap).
