Used to be the best but now it’s super dusty.
I have been using this litter for a while because it clumps well, is natural, and is so good for odour control. I’ve found it to be more economical than the cheaper litters because it lasts so long between changes. Although recent bags have been getting more and more dusty to the point where I’m considering changing brands. What’s the go, Rufus& Coco? Without the dust it’s 5 stars.
Can't Recommend - Dusty!
I got this litter, like many, because of the good reviews. However, it's just so dusty. My cats have been sneezing because of it, and the room my litter box is in is just covered in dust! I have trouble scooping it because of breathing in the dust. I would say it clumps well, and it seems to be doing fine with smells, but I just can't recommend it due to the dust.

It was ok but.....
I loved this product for my 2 cats but the dust is getting worse with every bag I get, definitely not "dust free" as you say on bag. My bathroom has dust over everything. Even my mother rang the other day & said the amount of dust on bottom of tray before she washed it was quite a lot. My black cat comes out like a white faced cat after digging to China for number 2's. Will be looking into another product soon
Purchased at My Pet Warehouse Online store for $40.
Loved it in the first week, second week not so much...
In the first week, it's great, excellent, low tracking through the house, low odour, easy to sift...
By the 2nd week, the pellets start to break down into dust and it generally starts to smell.
After about day 10 I've been forced to do a full litter refresh.
The "Lasts up to 8 weeks" claim is ludicrous. It lasts around 10 days with sifting morning and night using the Rufus & Coco tool to keep it as fresh as possible.
Rufus & Coco should drop the unreasonable claims from the packaging. Technically it's a good product, but it's priced to last 8 weeks and lasts just over one week. It's not cost effective.

Not 'Dust Free'
Tried this litter as it gets great reviews. At first I thought this litter was great, clumps well, easy to clean and reduces smells. However, after a few days, dust starts to build up on the bottom and creates a dust cloud each time my cats use it. They have actually started sneezing more often since using it. I now scoop out the dust to avoid them breathing it in. I will be changing to another brand.

Great for the first few days, terrible after that.
I, like most others, tried this due to all the reviews. The first few days were great, I got used to the weird corn smell, although wasn't thrilled with it, if it was going to do what it claimed I was happy to put up with it.
- First issue was the amount of dust. My black cat was starting to come out COVERED in beige dust and upon inspecting the litter the entire bottom of the tray has around 1cm deep of dust.
- Odour: It is supposed to neutralise odours within 5 minutes. For the first 2 days it was ok. By the third day and more on the 4...th & 5th day, I actually checked my unit for some 'accidents' as I thought perhaps with the transition, one of my cats may have had an accident as the smell was that bad. My litter box is hooded, not even open, and I went searching for both accidental wee's and poop's as the smell was so strong. I have had to clean the litter up to 3 times a day to stop my unit smelling like an animal shelter. - Tracking: It is all over my unit. the cats aren't kickers, it sticks on their feet, to their fur, it isn't just outside of the litter entrance, I have pellets everywhere and when stood on accidentally, they crumble and disintegrate to a powder. It is much worse than my previous crystal litter, I now take back all the times I thought that 'tracked' with a few crystals here and there. - Longevity: It is supposed to last for ages, however after 5 days it is looking like i will have to replace the entire contents of the litter box and start again. The entire litter smells and seems to be getting worse. The unit no longer smells like corn, it smells like stale musty urine. I can't see how removing clumps and topping up will fix this. I understand that the entire litter will need to be refreshed at some point, but I thought that wouldn't be after 5 days. Completely defeats the purpose and the claims for the price.
Not as good as I thought it would be
My cat spreads it around the laundry in her paws. I find that it doesn't clump very well. Its soft and when I pick it up with the scoop it breaks up and goes through the scoop and its hard to scoop it out of the cleaner litter. As a result I use a lot more and there is no way a 9 kg bag will last nearly 18 weeks.
I had great hopes for this litter and very disappointed.
Unfortunately left with a bad odour
Saw this on TV and decided to give it a try. Was a bit dubious of the price nonetheless, wanted an alternative to crystals. Was OK at first but after two days of cleaning the litter was left with an awful litter plus ammonia smell coming from our laundry where the litter is. Not sure if I'd purchase it again.
It’s not as good as expected..
I purchased this litter because of the ‘perks’ & rave reviews...
* Eco friendly
* Kitten friendly
* Low dust (apparently)
* Odour eating
* Is meant to last a long time = cost savings.. ...
Great product except my cat doesn't use it for cat litter. Prefers to eat it or roll in it or sleep
I bought this product a few months ago. My cat loved it the moment I opened the bag, except she wont use it as a toilet but prefers to do other things with it, like eat it, roll in it, scratch it out of the box and or even sleep in it? I didn't end up purchasing another bag because my cat started to pee and crap outside of her litter box, on the newspaper, that I put around the litter tray. Perhaps some products can just be too good for use???
Fantastic alternative to regular clumping clay litter.
I've decided to update this review as my feelings toward this product have changed. I'll leave what I had previously written down below as a lot of it still stands but I have since gone back to clumping clay litter for a number of reasons:
1) This doesn't clump as well as clay. It clumps more like a "pancake" than the large clumps in clay litter, which I grew to miss. It seems to break apart really easily as I lift the clumps from the rest of the litter so I have to spend time lifting all the smaller clumps that broke off, making...
Excellent kitty litter - but very poor delivery service
I first started my kitten on Max's litter, as it is meant to be a natural kitty litter and as I have allergies I didnt want to use something that could exacerbate my allergies, plus I had read about all the crystal and clay kitty litters not being that safe for my kitten. Max's Kitty litter was great, but it just tracked a lot and didnt clump my kitty's wee.
When next in Woolworths, I saw Rufus and Coco Kitty Litter and as I had also read that corn litter was another really good choice for kitty litter, as it's naturally and good for the kit...ty and doesnt cause allergies, I decided to give it it a try and I am really glad I did. I've been using it for almost a year now and it's great. While it does have an interesting smell, it's not overpowering, doesnt set off my allergies and most importantly, my kitty loves it. It clumps on her wee so that means I can just get rid of her wee bit and the rest of the litter is still clean. Even with her poo, while it does smell straight after she does it, once it is in the litter for a while the smell goes away (ie if she did the poo while I was away for a few hours). The other thing I like, is that it doesnt track all over the place. Sometimes my kitty gets a bit too excited about the litter and flicks some outside her litter tray, but generally she's good. Even if it does get out, it's easy to just to throw it away or put it back in the tray, if it still looks new. And I have flushed some down the loo and it's been fine. The only gripe I have is that Woolworths doesnt seem to sell it any more and now I have to get it online and pay for delivery fee, when I could normally grab however many bags I need from Woolworth with my normal shopping, without having to pay a delivery fee. And I tried to get the product (6 bags) delivered - it took 9 days to get it to me (and I am not that far away). The order goes through an intermediary and then to a courier company. The intermediary kept telling me the courier company had all the details and the courier company kept telling me they didnt. - apparently the courier company couldnt do a redirection for 3 days. And that was only after numerous irate phone calls from me for someone to do something because I would not accept waiting over the weekend to make 12 days til I got the product delivered. So today the delivery arrived and then it was delivered after 5.30pm, after waiting for it all day by a totally slack delivery guy. Not happy.
Zero dust but a bit smelly
Was excited to try this given the rave reviews. On the first day the litter seemed to perform perfectly well. Very happy that it has virtually zero dust and doesn't track much. It also clumps reasonably well. But after 3 days it just stank, a weird corn+ammonia smell that I found it hard to put up with. This is with careful scooping twice a day.
Almost zero dust, virtually zero tracking
Quite expensive, didn't contain odours as well as I would have liked
