Rufus & Coco Wee Kitty Clumping Corn Litter
Normally non-fussy cat hates it - very bad smell
I have tried clay and silica litters, and decided to try this one as it is marketed to be a more sustainable organic option.
I've had many issues since switching - I often find pellets tracked outside of the box, and my cat has been reluctant to use it (I've gradually switched over by mixing it in with her old litter). Worst of all is the smell - we scoop twice a day, and the ammonia smell persists throughout the entire house.
For a product that costs up to 5x as much as clay litter, this does not last as long as I had hoped as it requires so much scooping to keep the smell at bay.
Purchased in for $25.

Smelliest litter we have tried! (And we’ve tried a lot!)
Have tried various cat litter types and brands (our cat isn’t fussy thankfully) and this sadly was one of the worst. I had to give it a go from the numerous positive reviews but felt let down :( The clumping was okay, tracking was average (larger but very lightweight), a bit dusty, but worst of all… the pellets (although the odour is relatively pleasant when brand new) somehow reacted with my cats wee and created the strongest, most horrible odour I have experienced with any litter! Even after cleaning wee immediately, the smell is extremely pu...
Read morengent - the clumping is less effective than others and leaves small but strong-smelling traces of litter… Although there are other average/bad litters out there for various reasons, this was by far the smelliest we’ve tried. Back to lavender scented clay for us. Providing a review for potential future improvements - would try again if this was mitigated. Sorry team!- Value for Money

Hello,
Thank you for your response. This review was for the corn-based litter as per the item page. ...
Read more Unfortunately, I have already thrown out the pack. It was purchased at PETstock in Knox (3152), VIC. I would be open to trying another batch or another variety of litter and then provide further feedback to a direct/private email for constructive purposes (if the litter is provided free of charge as compensation for the poor experience). If my new experience is positive I would be happy to amend/write a new positive review. All the best!Hi Nicole, we certainly can arrange this. Can you please email us at hello@rufusandcoco.com.au. Thank you!
