Dead after 4 month of use
Like many other people, we had smoke when cooking, and the non sticky coat is coming off in so many places that most of what we cook now is sticking to the basket.
And to top it off, it has stopped working altogether. My wife is taking it back to Big W, but we cant find the receipt. We really didn't think it would fail this fast.
Purchased in February 2021 at Big W Retail Stores for $150.00.
After few usages, the black rubber stopper broke off.
And every time I try cooking pork belly, lots of smoke coming out and triggers the smoke alarm.
Previously I had a cheap generic brand airfryer that only cost $90 and never had any problems with smoke when cooking pork belly.
Don't want to remember life pre airfryer
Did not hold high hopes as I was guided toward much more expensive units, but this thing has been just great.
Quiet, fast and easy to clean. Makes solo-parent dinner nights a breeze for quick proteins.
My only quibble - the fan is so powerful it blows even heavier items around in the tray sometimes. Makes for excellent food normally, but youre not going to be doing those viral egg toast recipes without some vessel to stop the egg being vaporised.
Going to procure one for the office kitchen this week.
Purchased in December 2020 at The Good Guys for $148.00.

Know better, choose better.
Cooks very well , but also has a lot of smoke coming out which set of smoke alarms, also the basket falls out once hot so have to put a cutting board under so I don't burn the bench top
Purchased in October 2020 for $149.00.
A brilliant replacement for my Philips.
I bought this after my Philips finally gave up after seven or eight years.
The screen is intuitive and easy to use.
I have read about some smoking issues but haven't had that problem.
It looks attractive on the kitchen bench and does not take up a lot of room.
If you want the happy medium price wise between cheap and expensive this could be the air fryer for you.

Stylish and functional air fryer
Bought this air fryer to replace our Kmart one that had started rusting.
Size/Design: The 5L bucket is the perfect size To cook a good amount of chips or steaks without it taking up the whole bench space. The rose gold handle with black is beautiful. It has a handle on the top which is really useful for moving it around and it’s very light as well. The touchscreen is super easy to use and change things like temperature and time. The presets are great and it comes with a lot of suggested cooking times/temps for common items. We love the simpli...city of using it, I hate kitchen gadgets that require you to read a huge manual before you can use it but this one is so simple. Noise: it’s very quiet, much quieter then our old Kmart one. You can just heat it humming away isn’t he background and it beeps when it’s finished. Cooking quality: this is a step up from our Kmart one. We were never able to get crispy chips in the town, but this one makes them super crunchy. I find the times are a lot less as well as it’s much more powerful. Overall: this is probably our most used cooking appliance, after the coffee machine. On nights when we dint feel like using the gas cooktop we can just throw things like steak/fish/chicken in here with some veggies and have it cook itself. Can not fault this item, would highly reccomend.

Questions & Answers
Hello.. why Im getting an E2 error?
Can you fit roasts in it?
Does anyone have issues with an insane amount of steam/smoke coming out of their unit when they are using it? Our 2 week hold unit has been setting our the smoke alarms a lot....
No ours has never done that- it be very cautious if actual smoke is coming out of it, it could be a fire hazard.Maybe check that the inside coils are clean and intact but I wouldn’t be using it anymore- you could contact Russell Hobbs if it’s still under warranty (ours came with a 12 month warranty)
Yes mine smokes and sets off the smoke alarms, also once the basket is hot it falls out, is ok when cold but once it has been on a few minutes and you you pull out the basket it drops, I have to put a cutting board their so it doesn't burn my bench top
