Oil leaks the second time around
Purchased this a month ago and within half an hour of usage had the chain oil running down the pole onto my hands. Took it back to Bunnings and they said that have never had an issue with this unit and replaced it. The second unit has the exact same problem, back to Bunnings we go...Show details

Oil leak problem solved
The issue with oil leaking out of the saw and running down the handle is caused by a poorly designed oil tube from the tank to the oil pump. It happened to me within an hour of buying this pruner. I pulled it apart (brand spanking new), washed all the oil of all the parts and replaced the split molded tubing with a piece of plastic tube and all is well. There`s no point taking this product back to the shop other than for a refund. I suspect there`s either faulty batch, or they will all do it at some point. The tube I`m talking about has been mo... It needs to be a proper seamless tube to be 100% reliable. having said that, this sort of nonsense goes on with the big brands as well and sometimes a simple tube can`t be used due to the design of the product - just they way the manufacturer intended....you pay $100 for a 50 cent part.billdunk NSW, 2484 14 posts

Disappointing durability
We've now had two of these in three years, but I won't be buying a third. This is a great tool if you have other products in the range, the trees that your trimming are quite small and if you're patient. But it is really designed for occasional use, rather than the weekly use it was subjected to here.
It is fairly lightweight, easy to maneuver, has the advantage of interchangeable, rechargeable batteries, long extension handles and easy to clean and maintain.
The first one we had we managed to cross-thread one of the bolts when reassem... Read more
bling after cleaning (as with all products of this type they need to be taken apart for proper cleaning after each use). Unfortunately it was impossible to get a replacement part, so a new unit was bought with the though that the old one would do for parts and a vow to be more careful when assembling. The second one lasted about 15 months before the electric motor burnt out. We assembled a unit from our two damaged ones, but it too burnt the admittedly previously used motor out in a short period.Ryobi 18V ONE+ OHT1851RStihl HS 45Ozito PXCHTK-218Stihl HSA 56Stihl HLA 65Dewalt DCM563PB-XE 18VHonda HHH25DStihl HLA 56Echo DHC-200Stihl HSA 45Ozito HTE-555Victa 82V Pole Pruner SkinOzito PXCPHTS-018Stihl HTA50Ego Power+ HT6500E
