Happy So Far - Does the Job! – I purchased this milk frother after having 2 Aldi brand milk frothers break down on me, both in less than 3 months of use. So far I haven't had any issues with this milk frother. It does make quite a 'squealing' noise and it also makes a bit more froth than I like, but it is quick, easy to clean and large enough to heat milk for two cups at… Read more
the one time.
Although more expensive than the supermarket brands, it probably will work out cheaper in the long run as it wont need replacing every few months.
Be extra careful not to get the connectors & electricals wet.
Lattemento times 3 now stopped working – This is the third one i have had replaced and now again 5 months down the line the frother/spinner stop spinning and wont work, either freezes up, squeals like there is a hamster in a wheel trying to make it go, plus it over heats in one place making it impossible to clean the residue from the overheated milk from the base unless you scratch the… Read more
hell out of it. really not impressed at all, really bad performace for the company and the price. heating and the frothing used to be great Can not clean it properly, base overheats one side and the frother stops working, yet again
My Aerocino (Nespesso) has stopped working at times and each time its been fixed by leaving the jug… Read more
Terrible. Don't waste your money – We bought this product thinking it would make frothing milk easier, instead of using the frothing unit on our Delonghi machine, but boy we were wrong. We went through 2 of these units and both had exactly then same faults. First time we used it, it created so much froth that our coffees were virtually coffee and froth (no milk). After a few uses… Read more
the frothing seemed to settle down but to the other extreme of virtually no froth. And then there was the noise. I have seen other milk frothers in use and all have been quiet. This product rivals our washing machine in the noise stakes. I have a 10 month old baby and can't use it when she is down because it makes so much noise. Embarrassing to use when we have guests because it is so noisy. Needless to say I contacted the manufacturer and asked for a replacement which they sent out very promptly. However we experienced exactly the same faults with the second unit - what are the chances!!
We have taken the product back and received a full refund and have reverted back to using the milk frothing unit on our coffee machine. Holds a decent amount of milk. Heats it to a good temperature. Noisy. Very faulty product. Doesn't create the right amount of froth, which is what the unit is supposed to do.
Very faulty product – I purchase one frother mid 2010 and as it did not perform I took it back to Harvey Norman and received a replacement on 14/1/2011. This new one work for approx six months and as we were going interstate for three months I did not have time or chance to take it back to Harvey Norman I did this yesterday and was informed as it was out of the twelve months warranty it could not be replaced. Bad warranty service on item for only 12 months
Average product for the price, motor stopped working – I purchased this with the thought of spending a bit more so I didn't have to replace it in 6 months with a better quality machine, and also the large size was great. The shop assistant did tell me to be careful when cleaning it as you can't get the top wet. I was extremely careful and only used a damp sponge to clean. Because of the non stick… Read more
coating that was all you really needed. The milk did tend to burn onto the bottom slightly on one side of the base, so a bit if light scrubbing was required sometimes.
The whisk on the frother created pretty average froth, not silky but rather stiff and foamy. If you didn't want froth then you can remove the whisk, we mostly used this and it was ok, not really aerated milk though.
After all of the average thoughts, it got to January and the little machine was so loud when it was on that you would have to shout to speak over it (to someone 1 meter away) we also started getting rust residue leaking out of the lid into the milk at times. I am attempting to return this in store as the manufacturer is in the Netherlands and I am in Australia.
From what I can see all the reviews online are from retailers, the few from customers and one from Choice are 1 star ratings. Don't get sucked in! Avoid this product!! Large size, non stick coating Didn't last, average milk frothed, noisy
Disappointing. Product is inferior – Very tidious as one have to make sure that no water gets into the motor (the part that is situated on the cover). So cleaning is a pain, have to use a damp sponge all the time. We managed and have been very careful with it. Unfortunately, only after less than 6 months, it stops working. Took to the Saeco authorised serviceman, and was adviced to… Read more
take it back to the store. Returned under warranty.
Replaced with a Breville frother. Fantastic!Made perfect froth and easier to clean. Just pop it in the top drawer of the dishwasher.
So as for Saeco Lamento - sorry I would give it one star.
Motor stopped working after less than 6 months.
