Terrible, expensive and poor customer/removal service. Worst removal experience ever.
Size of the move:
The move was to move furniture and household items for a 2 bedroom plus study apartment locally about 10 mins drive away.
Duration of the move:
Had seen what great reviews were on this website and thought I’d give them a go.
Boy did I choose the wrong company. These reviews must be fake. Five stars? I don’t think so.
First off, they cancelled my first appointment as their one and only truck wasn’t working. So, my booking was moved to the next day. No contact to advise that they were having any issues, what’s so ever.
So the day came, and I received a phone call, that they were going to be an hour to two hours late. I was advised this was due to the heat (it was only 27) they were wo...
Don't be fooled by all the gushing 5 star rave reviews
I am very skeptical of all these 5 star reviews after my horrendous experience. You will notice the vast majority of these gushing rave reviews are profiles with only 1 review - for 'Safe Removalist' only. Let that sink in and think about it. This looks very suspicious to say the least. Don't be fooled. We booked a small dwelling move. While the 2 fellows who turned up were only a few minutes late, they proceeded to be extremely slow getting out of the truck and showed other signs of apathy and indifference right from the beginning. Too many br...eaks were taken, with one of the guys sitting around a lot and making multiple phone calls to his mates, while the other guy took additional time out to have a few smokes every so often. Out of the blue the lead guy said "I have some bad news for you". I said what exactly? He replied he couldn't get a piece of furniture through the doorway without taking it apart. But here's the kicker. He couldn't find the tools he needed in his truck so he left my $3,000 sofa sitting upside down outside on the dirty concrete driveway. Of course he never bothered to cover it in blankets the way it should have been before he decided to drop it upside down onto the dirty concrete causing damage. He even seriously suggested leaving it on the street overnight which I found quite astonishing. This was most unprofessional and reckless. I told him "you cant seriously expect me to leave an expensive piece of furniture like that on the street overnight?". He replied: " I need a special tool for this job, cant find it anywhere, best to leave it til tomorrow morning". I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Meanwhile instead of carrying on doing his job the other guy was sitting down and chatting away on his mobile phone again. This meant I was once again carrying boxes myself. By the time he found the tools he needed, and both took another break, an additional hour had already gone by. He assured me by promising "don't worry man you wont get charged extra for this, relax". Of course I was skeptical of this promise and my skepticism turned out to be correct. On top of all this it took them almost half an hour to drive just 500 metres up the road and back to the petrol station to buy themselves some bottled water as well as cigarettes. As a customer I am obviously being charged by the hour so taking this long to buy drinks and cigarettes wasn't acceptable. Despite the fact I was helping them the entire time - several hours - they still took their time loading and unloading items in the truck as if it was a flat fee and I wasn't being charged by the hour. I was repeatedly told "Hey relax man we will take care of it all". Of course they had already taken nearly 2 hours longer than they should have with this apathetic ho-hum attitude. And of course in the end, just as I predicted, despite being told I would not be charged for all the time wasted, I was charged the full amount of hours. I was never given a rebate for all the drink breaks and smoke breaks and 'looking for tools' breaks. He bluntly told me: "I dont make the rules man its my manager who makes the decisions, I'm just a worker you need to speak to the manager". I wasnt interested in arguing after such a stressful and tiring experience so I had no choice but to sign the paperwork and pay for the full amount of hours which based on the hourly rate meant I was overcharged $240. That's not including the additional $60 callout fee added on top. It was only after they had already left that I noticed that one of my expensive white goods appliances was damaged. Not very 'safe' is it? Disappointing. Overcharged. Very slow. Too many time wasting breaks. Expensive appliance and furniture damaged. Based on the above experience I would not recommend this company at all.
They asked to write a review before finishing a job
So, there were asked me to write a review against my wish. I think it's a lie, and their good rating on ProductReview is just a fake.
How did that work:
– they move my things
– one of the guys showed real impatience, like we are out of time (we weren't out of time)
– when they finished the work, they just give me iphone and said that it's requirement from their bosses to write a review
– of course, firstly I set 5/5, and write 30 words
– nobody said that it's a public review, I thought that was a internal review
– now I see that they just open the ProductReview site on their device and ask to write a review while they are waiting. tricky thing, but not honest.

Terrible interstate move, they damaged items worth over 7k!
These guys moved our 6 bedroom house from Sydney to Gold Coast. When they arrived and unloaded we discovered damages in total over $7k and the company does not take any responsibility on this at all! To date we are still fighting with our removalist insurance (recommended by these guys) to get the damage paid.
These guys have done the worst moving job you could imagine. On top, their back office is rude and was only able to send a formal invoice after hassling them over and over!
