I started using this when my baby went from the bassinet to the cot & would get upset stuck in corners.
Wish I found it sooner as it would have really helped in the early months with reflux & keeping h central on incline.
My baby started sleeping through the night, keeps him feeling secure, stays central in bed & can't hurt himself climbing or getting stuck in corners.
His face seems to lie right on the edge of the sheet so I have to try & fold it down or it's uncomfortable & leaves a line on his face. Also now that my son is rolling he gets onto his tummy easily & can't get back making me worry about him suffocating.
Our baby has never been a 'wonderful' sleeper, and at 8 months old he learnt to roll over and would get himself tangled. And even more dangerously, he still liked to be wrapped to so he was being wrapped & rolling !!
Found the Safe T Sleep and it's been a GODSEND. He now goes to bed in one position and wakes up in the morning IN THE SAME POSITION (slightly moved, but still on his back and all limbs in the cot !!).
And he is sleeping better also. Not requiring us to go to him 3 or 4 times a night, for sometimes over a few hours, to get h...im back on his back, get his leg out of the rail of the cot, move him when his head is jammed in the corner. Oh, I wish I had discovered this months ago ... but it's a keeper in our house :) Safety & peace of mind. Not one dislike.
I first found out about the Safe T Sleep from my sister in New Zealand (thats were Safe T Sleeps are designed) and I purchased one for my 1st child and used it until 11 months old in her cot then kept using it when we transfered her to a toddler bed at 11 months she was more than happy to be put into her safe t sleep. I knew she would always be safe, all my friends would say how there little ones would climb out of the cot and stand up etc, both of my children never did this and I owe it all to the Safe T Sleep, I will always reccommend ths and...always use it. In fact I am still using it for my 21 month old little boy in his toddler bed. I really think every new mother should be encouraged to purchase a Safe T Sleep, I love them and I think you will to. Wow - I think this product should be a MUST have baby item just like a car seat etc. The Safe T Sleep is fantastic, keeps bub in position and keeps me happy knowing bub is safe. I have used it for both of my children Nothing, I love it
When my 4 month old starting rolling over in bed, I searched high and low and found this, it is fantastic, after a week of little sleep, I can finally put my mind to rest knowing he was safe on his back where I left him. I have 5 children and never knew something like this existed, it needs to be advertised more, even at hospitals so parents don;t have to lose sleep when their little ones keep rolling onto their tummy in their sleep.
i can put my son to bed and know he will be where I left him when he wakes. No getting wrapped in sheets, getting caught in the bars, or getting stuck on his tummy. The best product I have bought and very worthwhile invest in his safety.
Best thing I have ever bought. My baby starting sleeping better through the night straight away. If you know any new mums I recommend buying it for them, they will love you forever.
As a new mum it eased my worried mind to know that the baby would not roll or move around the cot. Great quality linen.
The wrap is great but my son tends tries to do 360 degree turns sometimes and when wrapped, it obviously gets twisted and tight around his stomach resulting in crying etc.
Got a baby who rolls onto their belly- buy this!
After waking one morning to discover my 5 month old baby was sound asleep completely face down I went on the hunt to find a product to prevent her from rolling onto her stomach at night. I came across the Safe T Sleep. It consists of two pieces of sheet material that are approx 40 cm wide and long enough so that when they are attched to each other via the velcro on the product it will wrap around a variety of sizes of thick baby matresses. There are 3 pieces of the same fabric with velcro stitched onto the sheeting. The fabric wraps around...the babies torso and comes up between the babies legs to keep them in place whilst asleep. My baby can still turn her head to the side but has not been able to roll over. It is a little on the expensive side ( we paid $99.00) but is worth every cent. I love this product. It keeps my baby in a safe sleeping position and gives me huge piece of mind. The velcro is quite strong so can be a little noisy to re-adjust, and it takes a little getting used to when it comes to fitting it onto the matress, but I would definitely not be turned of the product because of these cons.
Learning to Grow...through 5 children
I first heard of the Safe-T-Sleep online so when my sister had a baby she got it and it was great with her son. When I then had our first child, we got one for him and it was amazing. We started using it when he started to roll over which was about 5 months. We found that it helped him sleep through the night better, kept him warmer in winter and in summer he didnt get overheated having it around him during sleep times.
When our son started being able to rip the velcro off and get himself out, I got one of the safety baby pins and used that...to keep the two pieces of velcro together. Since having 4 more children, we have used it with all of them and its been wonderful! I recommend it to all of my friends that are having babies!! Its also great when you go out and instead of having to lug around a portacot or take the stroller inside someone's house, you can just use this on a single bed, the velcro bottom sheet is long enough to go all the way around. Great for when out and about at friends places! A Little on the expensive side, but definatly worth it.
Can't live without it fromnewborn to 3 year old
I bought this when my first started pulling himself up and couldn't get back down around 4 months (yes a very early mover!) but loved it so much as he had no other choice but to go to sleep. They can eventually roll over and even sit up but it keeps them down on the mattress. I used it when transferring to a big bed at 18 months with no problems no getting out of bed or falling out and great for carAvaning or traveling
EasY when sleeping away from home no protacots and great to transfer to big Bed
When waking them up in the early stages for feedings Yes the Velcro can be loud and it is quite expensive and Takes practice getting on the mattress and you need at least 2
Helped us out for a couple of scenarios
We bought the Safe T Sleep wrap to help with positioning our 2-3 month old baby when he developed symptoms of reflux and we were advised to raise the head of the bassinet. Our baby didn't seem to mind being in the Safe T Sleep wrap. Unfortunately, it didn't work though because bub also needed to be swaddled to sleep at that stage and managed to wriggle down the bassinet until his head was covered by the Safe T Sleep wrap.
The second time we used the Safe T Sleep wrap was later when bub was sleeping in his cot in a sleeping bag. We would put...him to sleep on his back but he would roll onto his tummy. However, rather than be content to go to sleep on his tummy and unable to roll back onto his back at that stage, he would cry until we helped him, only to repeat the process as soon as we left the room. The Safe T Sleep wrap helped us get some sleep those nights until we stopped using the wrap and learnt how to pat him in his cot on his back until he calmed down to go to sleep. We never used the Safe T Sleep wrap for traveling as we use a portacot. Helped with positioning reflux baby, allowed us to get to sleep some nights Not safe to use if baby is swaddled and bassinet has to be angled due to reflux, I no longer think it's necessary & won't use it with baby number 2
It's a really great idea and someone needs to create something similar that works better.
The whole velcro thing really gets me. OK - so put my baby back down to sleep after feeding. He's already asleep and then I wrap it around him and realise that I haven't done it tight enough.
Do I rip the velcro and startle him awake - or do I leave knowing that it will only be a matter of time before he'll roll over and cry because he's on his tummy? Not dilemas I need to be having at 3am.
It's too difficult to do it up correctly all the tim...e. It needs to have rows of fasteners or something so that when I get a size I know works for us I can keep using that size. The concept. Great if you're away and don't have a cot. You can use this to secure you baby to a single bed and have piece of mind.
Overall this product is brilliant and has really given me peace of mind when putting my baby to bed. I know that I can use the reflux wedge and also keep the baby in the right position all night. It also keeps the baby under the blankets all night as well so there's no need to constantly check that they are covered and warm.
This has been a godsend as it allows me to keep my bub in position on his reflux wedge. I can rest easy knowing he will stay in the same place all night and not roll and slide down the reflux wedge incline.

If I have another baby the only thing I'll do differently is put the baby into it much earlier. The Safe T Sleep acts like a major cue that it is time for sleep, and being wrapped helps the baby feel snug and secure.
Fabulous for helping my 1 year old feel safe and secure. He slept through the night from 3 weeks to 6 months, but then he could move about more and teething also meant when he woke he didn't resettle himself anymore. Would wake and stand up screaming until someone came to him, and started screaming as soon as I left the room. D...
GREAT PRODUCT! Overall I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for something to keep bub in a safe, back-lying position in the cot. It's a great solution from transitioning from a newborn wrap to eventually total freedom in the cot. A+++ from me!
Great product! I used this for my daughter when I was weaning the wrap. She couldn't handle the freedom of no wrap and kept getting stuck on her tummy and crying. The Safe-T-Sleep kept her in the one position in the cot and the band gave her the illusion of a wrap (except she had her arms f...
I loved the Safe T Sleep as I knew it kept my little one wrapped so she didn't wake herself. I only wish I had found it earlier!
Love the fact that it kept my little one swaddled all night and in the same position. She also couldn't get her arms out and wake herself up. Now that she's older, it keeps her from rolling over and getting her limbs caught between the cot bars.
Tricky to get the positioning of the wrap 'just right' but once you get the hang of it, it's easy. It's also a little on the expensive side, but worth it in my opinion.

Questions & Answers
My son is 16 months and moves around a lot in in the night so he can only use a sleeping bag. Obviously being older he is fine rolling over etc actually prefers to sleep on his tummy....would this product be suitable for us or not?
No definitely not I wouldn't use this past 8 months they love to move! There is another product you can use available through the sleep store that is a sleeping bag attached to a cot sheet so they can turn around/ sleep in tunny but can't stand up.
