A50 sent to repair samsung refuses refund becouse i am second owner of the device and didn't answers by email give call only it took 25 days to repair
What a blight on my life!
If only one could buy a phone that simply did its job! And for goodness sake, why no instructions?
Black on black controls as usual, and that makes it difficult to begin with, and how are we supposed to somehow automatically know that one has to touch and then run finger up to answer a call? If we didn't need a mobile phone for when we are away from home, I would have nothing further to do with them
Conclusion - rotten product.
Please, for goodness sake, just make a product that is easy to use, with easy to see controls. We don't need a camera or Google or fancy aps, and we would prefer a phone that doesn't report on our movements. But it appears there is no such product on the market.
Purchased in September 2019 for $240.00.
Once you bought it not their problem: The NEW "Car sales man"
After my note 8 upgraded to Android pie I can't use my call record app. Rang Samsung, operator was great. Samsung policy is [Word Removed]. Wont buy another Samsung product again. No more faith in the brand.

Brittle screen - No where near as tough as previous versions
Really disappointed in the Note 8. I've had two previous Notes (2 & 4) which were great phones which lasted me years each.. and they were dropped quite a lot and never developed a crack. My note 8 slid out of my pocket while sitting on a bench seat in a park - not a very big fall (~50cm) and it completely destroyed my screen. I had the phone for 4 days! It's pretty much useless and I've reverted to using an old OPPO a friend lent me. $300 to replace the screen in the Note 8. I'll be buying a new OPPO in the future.
Purchased in December 2018 at The CPAP Clinic Physical store for $1,200.00.
First year I gave the phone five stars but after one year I think it is a trash. My phone worked smoothly for one year ,I only dropped it once in the first year with minimal damage around the stylus area. Now after one year the phone response time is beyond annoying. My phone slipped from my hands few days back from only half a meter and the screen cracked(just finished my one year free screen replacement). It is in the samsung cover but apparently it is edge screen and the edges are not protected by any cover.Loved galaxy notes but after this ph...one never ever Am I going to buy edge screen mobile from samsung but unfortunately all the new ones are edge screens.May be time to switch to apple. My note 3 handled things far way better please Samsung make regular screen notes as well. Also, the camera quality had been bad since day one I had to take pictures from selfie camera as the regular camera turns pictures yellow and when you share those they turn more yellow don't know if it's the problem with my camera only. The phone heats up very easily when you use it for longer time or put it on charging.I was on video call and I got a messege on the screen stating that your phone is heating up and will shut down.I tried doing calls after it restarted but I got the same messege until I left It alonefor an hour. So,the phone is not meant to be use for longer time? What's the fun of paying extra then? So, sad I am disappointed by samsung I used to love there mobiles and had been a very loyal customer since 10 years.
Purchased in November 2017 at JB Hi-Fi Retail Stores for $1,399.00.
My note 8 is a lemon!
My Samsung note 8 is a dud and continues to get worse, my phone has crashed 5 times in the year that I've had it where I can't turn it off on two occasions the alarm has continued to go off and I can't turn it off my phone wont respond, the keyboard has a mind of it's own at times and randomly types by itself. The screen is so delicate that when pushing down on it trying to get it to respond the screen cracked, the sound at times sounds echoey especially when Google or Bixby talks. Customer support are useless often they can't even understand ...a simple conversation, as usual in another country where English is their second language yet it's called Samsung Australia. This will be my last Samsung phone which is disappointing as I like Samsung phones, this is my 5th note phone. I've asked for my phone to be replaced but all support do is run through their stupid troubleshooting again and again time after time with the same results. Then insist I must give my phone to their technicians to access while I'm inconvenienced some more being without a phone for weeks while I continue to have to pay off my 1k phone. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Samsung you just lost another customer!
General Comment o.n Samsung Mobile Phones Customer Service
REFUSAL TO REPAIR PHONES
Samsung is terrible at customer service. If you purchase a Samsung phone from an online seller and the phone is brought into Australia from offshore then Samsung Australia will not provide a warranty on the phone. This is understandable. However Samsung goes even further and will refuse to repair such imported phones even if an Australian customer is prepared to pay for the full cost of repair. As far as I am concerned this is TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The phones are genuine Samsung products so why would Samsung ...Australia not help people who buy these phones. PHONES UNDER WARRANTY If a person purchases a Samsung phone in Australia it is then under warranty by Samsung Australia. However if the phone then becomes faulty during the warranty period through no fault of the customer then Samsung will offer to repair the phone or offer a reconditioned phone as a replacement. Phones which have been opened and repaired are never as robust as originally-factory-sealed phones. Most phones are not designed to be opened and what is happening here is that offering a reconditioned phone means that the customer is having a second-hand phone palmed off on them. This is TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. You would think that a company of the size of Samsung could offer customers a new phone for the ones that fail during the warranty period. This happened to me and I decided to take a reconditioned phone instead of having mine repaired. The phone given to me had a new shell (front and back) installed but the battery was badly run down because it had been used for some time by the previous owner of the phone. Samsung did not even bother to put in a new battery when it repaired the phone it gave me.
Impossible to trust
Main Issue with the Note8 is the touch screen goes rite to the edges. This makes it virtually impossible to pick it up or put it down without it DOING something.Even after killing Bixby I still find it turning on and doing wierd stuff unannounced in my pocket. Unless a software fix appears soon the SIM goes back into the N0te 5
Too clever by half - unfit for purpose
Questions & Answers
I have been using my Note 8 since 2017 it continues to be a very reliable phone. I am considering an upgrade to the S21 Ultra but I'm concerned about reports on this website regarding extreme overheating problems. Do you have any information on this? Don't want to spend $1800 on a dud.

Would steer away from the notes, the bigger screen is great but it is bulky in the pocket
How can you disable "moisture detected" error? Absolute rubbish feature as the phone charges fine, frustrating that the phone needs to switch off with cable inserted and switched on and wait for software to load.
