The phone does overheat and the phone takes so long to charge.
The user interface is more suited for a teen than an adult, very poor. My phone overheats and is very slow to charge. If I had my way again I would not contemplate purchasing this phone. iPhones for me from now on!
Purchased in December 2020 for $800.00.

Be careful. It overheats and can cause fire
my samsung galaxy s10 plus phone overheated too much ...if it was left unattended it could cause a fire...
Sent it away...repair centre told me it will be replaced as there was a major malfunction.
Later on case manager called and said , it will be fixed ,no replacement..
i felt very unsafe to use this device due to overheating...furthermore repair centre informed for replacement and i have this information as i recorded the conversation
They didnt replace my phone and only fixed it...and.my phone overheated again after the repair...samsung is very bad for warranty claims...i contacted ACCC AND THEY informed me that they sued samsung for misleading advertisements for selling this phone...

My work phone but memory trap is saddening
Love the camera but not as good as my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Not worth the money if you're upgrading for S9+ because everything is basically the same. Just that the camera has moved

In a word: Over-rated
Six months into ownership and it's time to pass on my thoughts.
At the time I bought the S10+, I was looking at three cameras, including the equivalent iPhone and Huawei models. First choice after speaking with other users, and even 'cadging' a brief use of friends' phones, the Huawei came in hands down favourite, predominantly on one factor. As a photographer, I loved its camera setup. Unfortunately, the day I went to make my purchase was the day Telstra withdrew the Huawei from sale due to the licencing problems I believe Huawei were having...
Read more with Google. Because my 6-y.o. semi-smart phone had chucked in its knife and fork and I needed a phone (I have no home phone service thanks to NBN), I tossed a (mental) coin. It came down in favour of the Samsung. As a phone, I find it does most things I want as I want them done, with the possible exception that touching the green phone does not always give a clean connection. I've been back to Telstra once with this and must again. My almost 80-y.o. fingers have highly worn prints and I find the slippery surface of the S10+ just that (for which reason it now has a leather fold-back cover. Worst aspect of it is the camera, which I find pretty ordinary in many circumstances. It grabs good light in awkward situations but I find its algorithms tend to overcompensate, especially with blues. Comparisons are odious, but seeing most modern upmarket phones attempt to infer they are generally capable of replacing your camera, a comparison must inevitably be made. I have two DSLRs, a mid-market Canon 6D and a fairly basic Nikon D5300, my favourite because it's light, fits the hand so well, and takes a great shot, but I can't make a call with it so it means I must still carry two devices for two purposes. I'll give the Samsung S10+ a pass mark of 3 1/2 stars.Purchased in April 2019 for $99.00.

I'm not trying to be obstructive, simply objective. An old - and old-school - design engineer, perhaps I expect too much. It's possible the problem lies with my expectation.

Screen suddenly turned white
I bought a Samsung Galaxy S10+ in June in Hong Kong. Just used it for 3 months and the bottom half of the screen suddenly turn white. When I press the power key, the white section flickers. The system is still functional but inoperational due to the bright white light covering everything on the bottom half of the screen. Tried switch on/off the device doesn't fix the issue. Went to Samsung Store@George St Sydney, I got the most awful customer services from the staff. They just simply looked at my mobile and said I should go back to HK and have ...
Read moreit fixed there. Even I said don't worry about the warranty, can I just have a technician to check if it can be fixed here and I'm willing to pay for the fee instead of going to HK. The staff simply turned me off straightaway. Checked Samsung online and a number of users have complained of similar problems and some got fixed as it is identified as panel defect and has the motherboard changed. This is a totally frustrating experience buying Samsung mobile, terrible product quality and terrible customer service. Absolutely disappointed.Purchased in June 2019.

Amazing camera and video quality
Upgrade the Mrs from IPhone X to S10+ with 512G. Bought it at JB for $1849, the price was steep, however under monthly contract with Telstra it does not seem that bad with 80G of data.
Now for the phone, quite a large phone with very nice edge to edge screen. The touch screen is as good as those of the iPhone. The battery life so far last longer than the update old iPhone.
What we like about the device was the video playback quality. Even the YouTube clip looked amazing. One annoying feature is the small notch located upper right. Not as b...

Mainboard faulty after 1 month
I bought the handset when launched. Had charging issue within a month and went to service tech and they said the mainboard had issue so they had to replace the mainboard. Than now having another issue. The mobile can't detect the 2nd sim card. And contacted the service support and they tried to fix the issue over the phone but could not. Advised me to go to support center which is 30KM from my place.
Purchased in March 2019 at Mobileciti Online store for $1,849.00.

Questions & Answers
Jacinta J.asked
my new galaxy s10+ had a software download which I did, and when prompted to add pin to re-open phone it said incorrect pin. now I cannot even turn off the phone without using a pin. I was told to go to my nearest Samsung store which was 2 hours away, so not an option. poor technical service. my provider was more help, in the end it was deemed a fault in the software so a new phone is on its way. is this a common problem??

I’m sorry to hear about your experience Jacinta, it’s certainly not the customer experience we strive for.
We would requiem the phone to be brought into one of our Samsung Studio in order to look further into this for you and I’m sorry that we don’t have one in your area.
I’m glad to hear that you were able to get this resolved but please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if there are any issues in the future.
Our best point of contact is to send us a PM on Facebook with a copy of this review and some more information.

Is the screen protector that the phone has on it when you purchase it, a good one? Would I be better putting a tempered glass one on it instead?

Hi Elizabeth, we recommend for you to use a genuine screen protector on your S10+.
