Hi I have purchased a property and the previous owner had installed SHS-3321. Unfortunately we cannot read anything on the front exterior which is scratched and unreadable. Can I purchase a new front panel and what would be the cost?
No they do not have ANY parts or back up on these locks. They are crap, suggest you replace it with a lock off Amazon, I bought a brand Miuedo, had it a year now ,no issues at all.

Hi Youssef I bought one of these without reading any reviews,I figured it's Samsung it must be good. They are rubbish not designed to be used as a door lock ,,as it can't be touched by a human it can't be outside!! Take it back to the retailer, Samsung fob you off to digital door locks all they do is blame you and offer to sell you a new one. Read the reviews.
My Samsung 3321 is having an issue where I press to lock the door from inside or lock from outside ( auto lock is disabled). The bolt come out, but then has 2 x rapid sets of beeps and then unlocks again. It can do this up to 3 times before remaining unlocked and giving the unlocked sound. Reed switch is on the correct side and factory reset doesn’t fix the problem..
Take it back to the shop ,this is only the start of your problems. This is truly rubbish lock.

Thanks for the reply. I have come to the conclusion the lock is defective and am returning it to the store to replace with a better and more reliable lock.
We have been using our SHS-3321 lock since last September - so 11 months old, and the mechanical linkage has seized?! This is while the door is in the closed position so we cannot even remove the whole thing to replace it? Is there any place to see how the mechanical linkage works so that I can try and figure out how to unseize it?
Hey Mike, I would suggest getting your unit looked at by one of our Authorized Service Centres. To do so please visit external link to locate your nearest Service centre. If you're unit is within warranty, i would suggest contacting Samsung and requesting an assessment via them first.
This may need a technician to advise or repair so best to get them to see this issue.
Hope this helps!

I have a SHS-3321 model Samsung Digital door lock that worked well for a few weeks but now after locking the door after 30 minutes or so the alarm goes off. I reset it and the same happens again. Is this something to do with the magnetic sensor? TIA

Hi, my shs-3320 has severe scratching. Can I just replace the screen. I love this door lock and don't want to have to replace the whole deadbolt. Please help. Thank you
Short answer is NO you bought a lemon. Read the other reviews , no backup,no parts.
Unfortunately Lee's response is correct unable to replace the screen. I had the same question and the company advised to buy a complete new product.
Removed my lock all together & has a lock installed with a key as the lock stopped working after it was rained on. Worst lock ever!
Our screen is severely scratched as well. What are my options?
Hi Pris, options are, if its still under warranty you can claim the warranty by citing the lock is not fit for purpose, if its not under warranty you can still use the same defense but threaten to take them to vcat or consumer affairs. Next option is replace front panel, cost??? but you need the plastic front cover to stop it happening again, thats another $50 on top of replacement panel. Third option swap the lock I did contact EUFY about a smilar lock, the difference is their front panel is UV stabilised and they also said no problems outside and in the sun. Their lock is not designed to be outside, in any daylight, yet they market it as an external lock There was another anotheroption I was looking at, the information above was for the Australian distributor, but if you got it from bunnings, the same argument applies, selling a lock not fit for purpose. The information on my review is from the distributor, they acknowledge it cant go in the sun, so its not fit for purpose as an external lock. Hope that helps:) Oh Samsung is the brand but not the distributor, so if they reach out to you they are a waste of time.
Hi Glenn, thanks for that information. Bought ours from Bunnings and will see what they can do for us. Actually thought the kids were being rough with the lock until I found this thread!
Keep us updated, I bought my from Bunnings and soooo disappointed with it. I bought it as I loved the sleek appearance which unfortunately didn't last!!!
Initially, the lock functioned correctly for approximately 10 minutes after I installed it. However, as I attempted to add RFID cards, the lock ceased to open. When I shut the door, the lock would securely engage, but it would not open. When I entered the correct code or pressed the open/close button on the back of the lock, I could hear the gears struggling and the latch would move only halfway before returning to its original locked position and giving up. However, the latch can be turned manually without any issue.
Despite loosening all screws multiple times at various degrees of tightness, as this was the troubleshoot the problem persists. Is there any other action I can take, or is it possible that I have a defective lock?
Hi, I can only give you my opinion on this, and its my experience that the lock needs to be installed vey precisely, I know from experience if its not binding it works fine, but if it binds anywhere it does give you those symptoms. So let me give you a possible scenario, you close the door and the bolt goes across and engages but lets assume the bolt is getting resistance on the return from unlock, then it will just make noises and not disengage. This would be my advice. Clear the memory of the door lock, do a factory reset and start afresh. Leave door in open position and test open and close function, if that works progress to adding rfid with door open test rfid, this will show if the door is functioning correctly, lock works, card works, then start testing with door close, if it doesnt work, then its probably a binding issue Maybe open the bolt hole up a little bit with sandpaper?? That diagnosis will help show where the problem is, if door works open the problem is when door is closed, If the door doesnt work open then its probably faulty, maybe the door is twisted when closed and that will stop it functioning? Hope that helps? Regards Glenn It has 2yr x 7yr warranty, the 2yrs is on the Tech and 7yrs on the mechanical
Hi, Glenn Thanks for the suggestions, I had gone through and already done a factory reset, I had also opened the door and tried to opening this way, but still the same issue. Door would lock but wouldnt unlock.
Ill try opening the bolt hole further to see if that helps.
Thanks again.

Hi CJ, sorry i didnt get back to you quicker, just a suggestion, if you took the lock off the door and sat on a table and tested opening and closing, that might give you a direction to go, but definitely the bolt going in is easier than the bolt coming out, any tension on the way out will stop it returning Regards Glenn
Sorry just another thought, hold the door open, test open and close but not into a door jamb, just into fresh air, if that works, then its the other side that looks to be the problem, I just bolt mine into a hole with no metal surround
Hi CJ, did you end up finding out what the issue was? I having the exact same problem after installing this lock a few weeks ago.
Hi I have a Samsung smart lock and love it, trouble is the glass has become scratched so can see most of the screen now, this maybe a design fault just wondering if this part can be replaced and where to find the part
I'm sorry to hear this, Michael. I'd suggest contacting Digital Door Locks as they're our official distributor and support. I've provided their contact link below or they can be called on 1800-665-397.

Hi Michael how did you go with your response? My screen looks like a joke and its in a protected area - screen quality must be very poor if so many people are complaining about. If they could replace my screen and perhaps include a screen protector - people wouldn't give such low rating. Did you have to buy another screen ?? and if so is the same thing going to happen - doesn't seem right to spend a decent amount of money and have to replace the main operational component
Hello, how do you get the scratches off the face of the lock? Is there a replacement face available? Thanks
We'd suggest for you to contact Digital Door Locks to assist you with your enquiry - external link

My Samsung SHS-3321 stops functioning when I introduce the magnetic sensor.
Our Samsung Smart door lock glass face has developed spider cracks, whereby if the sunlight is shining on the glass or on the wall close by, it is impossible to read the digital code numbers. Can the glass be replaced or do I need to replace the whole lock?
Is the lock secure for instance if someone breaks the side glass can they easily turn the latch and open the door from inside?
Yes they can
Ohhh, so what's the point of having it
Why is there only left hand opening digital locks?? Do you even make right hand opening ones??

That doesn’t help whatsoever. I’ve spoken to a representative there. He assured me that you can flip them upside down. This is definitely NOT the case. So I’d just like to know if this model comes in right hand opening or if any of Samsung’s digital locks are made in right hand opening.
We're sorry to hear this, Linda. It is recommend for you to reach out to the link above directly for further assistance with your door lock.

Hi Linda. This lock can be installed as left or right handed. The instructions have a page that tells you how to install for either LH or RH. The unit does not need to be turned upside down.
Yes I’ve read the instructions, along with a few others plus two builders and the hardware store I bought it from. It does say that but that’s not what happens. By turning it the opposite direction the latch only has thick plastic behind it, not steel and the door would only take a soft kick to break it.
Model above Samsung definately bothe sides
Definately hands left and right
