Poor product support
WD85K Washing machine worked well for 6 months then started coming up with error lights. Turned out the machine was using the detergent and not washing the clothes!!. The clothes come out warm and smelling ok but weren't clean. You would think a crushed biscuit would wash out? I could never work out why I was washing clothes 2 to 3 times? Anyway they have been out 2 times and the problem is still not fixed....now waiting on parts to fix it again as it has to come from interstate. Worst thing is that you can't speak to anyone in Samsung because...apparently Covid is impacting their call center. Finally spoke someone in Philippines who was helpful. I asked them for a new machine since it still wasn't working and I have to re-wash all my supposed washed clothes. Apparently this can take 10 days so I suggested a refund and I would go to my local Harvey Norman and but a new one today. Even this take a week for them to review the process. Really poor service SAMSUNG. You are forgetting that customers pay your wages and if you don't try to keep customers satisfaction, then you will lose sales from reviews on line. Why does it take so long to make a decision and surely you can empower you managers/staff to resolve issues quickly. I have also cancelled my Samsung 498L that was being delivered tomorrow. LG has now got that order.

Broke after 10 months, Samsung rejected the warranty
We bought this washing machine after moving into a new home- it does the laundry needs of two adults who work office jobs (light duty washing).
True to other reviews, the washer had a distinct odour for the first few months that got better after repeated use and leaving the door open. Performance is OK and clothes come out just damp which makes them easy to line dry.
Sadly after 10 months of light duty use, the door started leaking water and eventually a big metal loop fell out of the gasket. I called Samsung for warranty and they directed me...to a third party repair company who advised that warranty service must be organised through Samsung. So I called Samsung AGAIN and had to provide further information and several emails before Samsung rejected the warranty claim on the basis that clothes hadn’t been loaded correctly. No facts were cited and they simply rejected the warranty 14 months before it was set to expire. I’ve been washing clothes for over 30 years and am no sure how I suddenly lost the art of loading clothes? I have since found a repair company to come and fix it and have zero confidence in this washer to last any length of time. This is my first Samsung product and the premature failure/lack of warranty support has demonstrated that Samsung is a poorly made economy brand. Definitely would not recommend this washer or any other Samsung product.

Never buy Samsung washing machine again!
I am having an awful experience with Samsung's dryer washing machine & customer support.
I bought this product in April 2019 from Hervey Norman as new.
One of three grey plastic agitators came off during normal cycle of my clothes in Aug this year.
I contacted to customer support, and the authorized technician fixed the problem with a new part, and it was covered under the two year warrantee.
In Oct, same thing happened. Again, I contacted to customer support.
A technician came from the same company, and they replaced three grey parts for in case, although one part had came off actually.
In Nov, same thing happened..... ...I contacted to customer support again. The repair company told me that Samsung's head technical department told them it will not be covered by warranty this time, because the damage was caused by the user's use. I could not believe this. Same issue happened three times in 4 months despite repairs. It means it was not repaired properly or there is some other issues rather than the grey part. I assume a hole on the drum to keep the grey part by a screw may be too deformed? Could be a manufacture fault when it was assembled? Is there no warranty for repair work done in one month ago or 4 month ago?? I have been using a front load washing machine nearly 20 years and I did not have any problems like this with my previous machine which was not Samsung. If Samsung believes that this is caused by my normal usage of washing & drying clothes, then what the washing machine is for??? Is the grey plastic part supposed to broke down in less than two years? Is the steel drum screw hole to deform in less than two years?? No- it should not be. I am very unhappy with this whole situation. So I will never buy Samsung products again & will never recommend. I have spoked with a representative of Samsung yesterday over the phone and she told the head technical department stated my case will not be covered under the warranty as it was not caused by the manufacturer's fault. I am waiting for further explanation response from Samsung's head technical department now. I have not received any detailed explanation. Please give me a proper explanation in writing via email. Products must be of acceptable quality, that is: safe, lasting, with no faults look acceptable do all the things someone would normally expect them to do. Products must: match descriptions made by the salesperson, on packaging and labels, and in promotions or advertising match any demonstration model or sample you asked for be fit for the purpose the business told you it would be fit for and for any purpose that you made known to the business before purchasing meet any extra promises made about performance, condition and quality, such as life time guarantees and money back offers have spare parts and repair facilities available for a reasonable time after purchase unless you were told otherwise." I am sure that an ordinally person expects that the new washing machine will last without any parts falling off at least 2 years and tolerate the purpose of washing clothes at least two years (even without two year warrantees!). Therefore, my Samsung washing machine does not meet the consumer guarantees. Also, this issue becomes a major issue as "it is substantially unfit for its common purpose and can’t easily be fixed within a reasonable time it does not meet the specific purpose you asked for and cannot easily be fixed within a reasonable time (ACCC)" The original issue started in Aug, and it has not been repaired fully yet. The screw hole in the drum was already deformed at that time of initial claim in Aug as seen in the photo (the last one). It already past 4 months. Therefore, I request full replacement or refund ASAP.

Started out fine but after 7 months ... nightmare!
This machine worked fine for 7 months ... although it took me a while to accept the VERY long cycles. Then, when washing my towels. It gets stuck at 4 minutes and doesn’t spin out. Samsung Customer Care is hopeless. After 3 service calls with no repair, I want a refund. I get a reference number that is blank, calls at random times from ‘case manager’ who I can’t call back because they don’t take inbound calls. Nightmare!

I love this machine it’s gentle on all my clothes and leaves them really clean and fresh. I have had this washing machine nearly 10 years and have not ever had any fault. I always had a top loader and was hesitant to go front loader but I don’t think I could ever go back to a top loader.

Save your money and get something else
We purchased this machine in July 2017 and already after only 3yrs we are having major issues with our machine. It's struggling to start the last high speed spin of a cycle and gets stuck on the last 4mins for an extremely long time and if you press pause and play again it will jump up to 8mins remaining and continue to struggle. It eventually starts spinning but while it does makes an irritating clicking sound the whole time. We paid a decent amount of money for this machine and are disappointed that it's only lasted us 3yrs. Now we are looking for a new machine that is more reliable and probably won't get another Samsung as this has really put us off.

Do not waste your money
This is one of the worst things I've ever bought. It washes ok but if you have 5 hours to waste while your clothes "dry" which mind you still come out damp then go for it. Display shows 1 minute to go but takes another 20-25 mins. Really just an expensive washing machine. Samsung and Harvey Norman both don't care as they say this is what it's meant to do but of course nobody discloses that upon purchase. I recommend getting separate washer and dryer if you can (not Samsung) or you're throwing your hard earned dollars away.

Save your money!
Worst product ever! Save your money! The only good thing is the space you’re saving. It’s take for ever to wash and dry and the dryer is terrible! The only way your saving time is by doing a short cycle and it’s very mediocre! It’s so noisy and make the loudest sound when it’s finished and that’s wake my baby up! I have to keep cleaning it every 40 wash or less and i waste hours of my time! The rubber seal broke after only 3 months and Samsung doesn’t even cover it! Very poor customer service and poor quality product! I will put zero star if i could!

The washing takes a very long time and doesn't spin as good as a top loader, the drying time is even worse I wish I hadn't wasted my money. The only good thing is it saves space. Now I have to do my washing pretty much every day to keep on top of it

Dryer taking longer and longer to dry my clothes
25 months old. It started off great and to be fair is still a decent washer. The dryer (steam) feature however is taking longer and longer to dry the same size load. It now takes about 3-4 hours to dry 2 sheets and 2 pillow cases for example where previously this would take an hour and a half. Not very economical. TheresLiving in Melbourne we need a dryer for the cooler months but were will need to invest in a separate dryer next winter. I contacted Samsung a few months back and got no assistance, a very generic response. Clearly Im not the only one here with this problem. Im not imagining it.

Samsung front loader
Love this washing machine. Quiet, gentle on cloths. Obviously you can't put a doona in it, but otherwise perfect. Never had any issues. Does what it's ment to. Do a drum clean when the message comes up, and continue.

I seen a man review the add wash function
on Youtube, he had no idea what he was talking about and a million light years away from the truth because it happens to be an excellent feature for any front loading, washing machine lover and i use it on a regularly bases.

Great Machine and service
Great machine washes well and handles large loads. The machine has a lot of setting from quick wash in as little as 15 minutes. Excellent delay start, actual delay end as you set the delay timer for when you want the machine to finish. Recently we had an issue with the controls and Samsung where very good about it and had the service agent out the next day and replaced the board.

The most horrible company i have ever dealt with!!! Beware!!!
Completely dissatisfied with Samsung. Our Samsung Washer / Dryer has a major problem and is producing a very, very bad rusty, burnt smelling odour on clothing after drying. Technician has attended twice and has unsuccessfully diagnosed the problem. He agreed that the machine had excessive rust and smells and said he would recommend the machine either be replaced or parts replaced. Instead Samsung told us he wrote NOTHING wrong with our Machine!!! What an absolute joke. Disgusting customer service by Samsung Too and have been completely lied to. I do not recommend this Business. They are Lazy and tell lies.

The washer manual states that "For bedding or bedding covers, the recommended maximum spin cycle speed is 800 rpm, and the load capacity is 2 kg or less.". So you advertise this machine as capable of washing 8.5KG but in reality only 2kg of bed linen can be washed in one cycle?
