The 'advice' in this book is to abuse and neglect your child

This book is absolutely revolting, written by someone with 0 qualifications and 0 regard for mental and emotional wellbeing of children. Do yourself a favour and do not buy this book - you will be a much better parent without it. Show details

Definitely a sleep saver!!

This book changed my life. I used Tizzie’s advice to help get my babies to sleep and they all slept from 7pm to 7am by 5-6 months. Now as older kids aged 4-12 they are fantastic sleepers and always have been. People always ask me how I did it. This book is how I did it. Highly recommend.

Do yourself a favour. Don’t buy this book!

The worst book I have ever read, if I could give less stars I would. Honestly it made me mad! It’s incredibly damaging for new parents to think this is what you need to do. The language sounds like it’s teaching new parents that your relationship with your baby needs to be a battle that needs to be won. It doesn’t. You know your baby, listen to their cues and work together to develop a routine that works for you both. The recommendations go against the world health organisation and current medical research. Show details

CHILD ABUSE!

Do not buy this book! Evil author teaching abusive methods to vulnerable sleep deprived parents. A great book to read is by author Sarah Ockwell Smith. Sad this book is still on shelves

Horrid advice

There is nothing good about this book. It is damaging to babies and parents alike. Imagine making parents feel like they are failing because they don't want to ignore their child crying for hours! This book should be banned

Babies aren't robots

Don't comfort your baby or look them in the eye while settling, are you for real? "International baby whisperer" isn't a qualification

Utter ninsense

None of this advice is based on evidence. At best it’s useless, at worst, harmful. Bin fire. Show details

Toxic ideas

Save our Sleep was bought for me as a present to try and help me/prepare me for the nights ahead due to the fact I had a gassy baby. Luckily this is my second child so I know what feels comfortable to me as a parent and how to trust my own instincts. You got this Mumma…… you don’t need books like this infiltrating your instincts with toxic ideas. If someone buys this book for you get rid of it straight away.

Life Saver

I followed this book for both my children and am about to utilise for the final time with my third. The support and structure is so helpful in assisting with sleep routines, feeding routines and self settling.
I could not have gotten through raising my first two babies for the first year of life without the support and help from Save our Sleep.
Highly recommend to help provide structure and sanity back in your life with a newborn. Show details

Dangerous for many reasons

The bedding guide is terrible and overheats babies.
Children can die from choking on vomit so should never b left alone distraught.
My second had sleep apnea and would wake upset. The medical team told if left alone he may not have made it. So glad we safely coslept instead.

Terrible advice

This book is not evidence based and is harmful for the mental health of infants and parents. Crying is communication NOT manipulation! Please comfort your baby when they “protest” it helps them develop a secure attachment. Show details

Amazing

Great advice, great book, my children are the best sleepers and are happy, well behaved kids. They eat everything and sleep 12 hours every night from 8 weeks old. Tizzie is such a caring lovely person also and extremely helpful. Show details

Sleep saver! I don’t know what I would have done without it!

Great advice plus additional online support is amazing too. Got our baby into a routine, people always comment how happy he is and well he goes to sleep, couldn’t have done it without this book! Show details

It really helped us

We found this book when our first baby was 5 months old and he adapted to the routine within 2 nights, we wish we had found it sooner.
We started our second on the routine from birth, he didn’t adapt as quickly however by 8 weeks he was sleeping from 7pm - 7am which our first didn’t do until 5 months old.
We’re grateful to have found this book Show details

Yummy Mummy, could you please explain the difference between controlled crying and "allowing your baby to self settle"?

I am now working on the 9 to 12 months' routine. One problem is that my 11 month old baby refuses to have milk right after breakfast, lunch or dinner (as suggested by the routine, milk the baby 1 hour/ 1.5 hour after solid food) and he wont eat after he falls asleep after 7pm which makes sleep feeding not an option. As a result, my baby is not able to meet the 600ml milk intake requirement each day. Just wonder is there any mom following such frequent feeding routine successfully?

All babies are different and Tizzie's one size fits all approach is ridiculous.
