Finally something that works!
Using Rhythm+ with a Samsung Note5 and S Health, phone standing up on a near by bench - is a perfect combination. Everything runs smooth and Rhythm+ provides super responsive feedback (better than anything else I've tried) - very impressed. S Health handles the display and keeping the screen active.
It does one thing and it does it well. This is better than lots of wearables that do heaps of things but only to a mediocre level.
Edit: The Rhythm+ stopped working after a couple of years of heavy use. I'm really sad (and a bit confused as t...o why) I can't buy a replacement for this product anymore as it is a hell of a lot more convenient than a chest strap HRM. I used to be able to carry the Rhythm+ in my pocket until I needed it, or inconspicuously put it on my arm inside my sleeve.
Decent alternative to chest HRM
I am an avid user of Garmin watches and products, however I have continuously have had issues with chest straps dropping out - regardless of care, gel, moistening, etc. I decided to try this arm band after reading a lot of reviews that -currently-, this is probably one of the most reliable and comfortable alternatives to a chest strap.
The device is light, and meant to be worn just under the elbow. Some users may find that it reads better if above elbow, which is how I have it. I have had no drop outs with this device, provided I remember to...charge it each week as the device gets a little funny on low battery. The device responds really well to HIIT cardio sessions, instantly showing my heart rate going up and coming back down between rest and action. The armband seamlessly links to my garmin 220 forerunner watch, and also my android bluetooth phone... even faster than my original Garmin and polar chest straps!! Definitely would recommend you try this if you find chest straps problematic or uncomfortable. It can drop out if you're using it during weight lifting or other movements where you may flex/move your arm, but for running at least it's perfect. I did at first have issues with getting it to read my heart rate, but that was when I was wearing it below elbow - they recommend you try a few locations on your arm until you find one that works for you personally. Other reviews have stated that their support staff are incredibly helpful and responsive, unlike other leading brands.
