Poor product for a premium price
Installed 6 retractable fly screens in 2019 before Screenaway took over their own installations. These screens had some minor install issues which were fixed within first couple of months and these are currently working fine. Had a further 5 retractable fly screens installed in 2022 by Screenaway themselves of which one lasted 12 months, one 27 months - the bottom of the screens have come away from the pull down section. Screenaway will tell you their product lasts for 6-7 years but they will only guarantee it for 12 months. So obviously we are... Read more now out of warranty for a VERY expensive product. I have had them offer me a repair for $250 but no explanation of why one (now two) screen breaks but the others are okay, and apparently not a manufacturing issue??? The other issue with these flyscreens is they are not secured on each side so you have to be really careful when moving them up and down (their core function!) that they don't slip out. Other brands have more secure 'edging' systems. Screenaway apparently pride themselves on not getting negative reviews but offer nothing to fix the faulty flyscreens unless I pay (again) for these repairs. We have always been very careful with the screens, close the windows when it is windy, gently open and close from the middle or using two hands for the larger ones. This product is NOT worth the money. I am now going to look for a cheaper product as if I need to replace every 1-2 years, I might as well go this route. This is NOT a premium product, there are plenty of other options available now and Screenaway are not even appearing on the first page of search results anymore. They also seem to have trouble retaining staff which gives a further insight into how they run their business. It is VERY difficult to get in touch with them, they only have a 1800-number even though they use local contractors to service & install. Each person that has been to my house has been disengaged and unhelpful. Save your money!Light comes thru. Not happy
Got mine installed. As soon as they were installed, light was coming thru badly. I mentioned this to the installer & all he could say is “I’m looking at it from the wrong angle & he can’t do anything about it”. I thought that is what I was paying to get rid of. He just wanted to install it as quickly as possible & get out of there. And as if looking at it from the “wrong angle” is the real problem. What a cop out. As the weeks have gone by, now light comes thru every single side too, bottom & all sides. I had two installed. Same thing is happe... Read morening on both of them. These things are not cheap & they encourage you to put a deposit down right when they are there quoting you. If you don’t, the price is even more ridiculous. So be aware of that pressure. I paid $1600 for two small windows. I waited more than 12 wks and this is the result. I have called them. They will send someone out to see it (but I have to send a photo of the problem first which does not properly show the issues). Let’s see if this can be resolved although I’m not holding much hope. I had 17 of these block out blinds installed in our home and they look amazing, the staff and the installer where also great to deal with.Unfortunately, that is the only good thing i have to say about them and its all down hill from there.
The functionality of the them is ridiculous.
I would not recommend these blinds to anyone with children, which I was not informed of at the time of sales, even though we discussed how the kids are always pulling on the cords, all i was told was, "Well these dont have cords". (I feel I was miss led to get the... Read more sale) They are very expensive for what you get and definitely not worth what i paid. If I had I known what I know now, I would never have gone ahead with them. Some of the issues below You can not have the window open, so no fresh air can come in. There is no privacy at all when they are up, so they are mostly down, which makes it very dark, so you need to have the lights on all the time. Last but not least, the blind is constantly coming out of the track. Due to this, I don't believe they will last long and before too long, they will start to crinkle and look ugly. While it is easy to fix the blind when they come out, it's frustrating and very anoying, considering the cost of them. I DO NOT RECOMMENDED THESE SCREENAWAY BLINDS, UNLESS IT IS FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.

The blinds can be used with a window open, just not when fully closed, as they are designed to be sealed, providing the key benefits of our product. Stay away & don't buy!! Raised the issue twice, never return to fix faults.
After sales care is non existent. Customer care number when selected for Service option, hangs automatically.
Emails are ignore and messeges on messenger nevere returned.
I chose them thru Facebook advertisement. Sales was good , i bought 4 motorised blinds for big windows and door.
Quality is worse in long run and there is nothing like Service. Everytime i need to drop messages on productreview and then receive service call. No one responds on Service number for NSW.

Our blind broke after only 6 months. The installer said it was very common for the springs to break, but not to worry they would come straight back and fix them. When this happened, there was a 3 week wait time for an appointment so we couldn't open the blind for 3 weeks! On the day, the technician did not call on the way to the appointment and left in under 10 minutes because I was outside chatting to a neighbour and did not hear them. Blinds don’t keep permanent bend marks which is nice—they sometimes come out of track, and bend marks was a concern of mine, but is clearly a non issue. Excellent installer—very clean and tidy and respectful. My only wish is that you wouldn’t have to be so gentle with them. They come out of track easily despite us being slow and cautious. And so it’s not the best product with kids in the house needing to use them. They are unfortunately not ideal with sliding doors unless the sliding doors are 100% air tight.
