We have just checked into
SeaWorld resort, went to the buffet dinner to find a caterpillar on my dessert. This was certainly not something ordered or wanted as a bonus extra!

Terrible Service at SeaWorld Nara Resort
Upon arrival at Nara Resort, was told my attendant that there were no car parks available. So I was told to park at the SeaWorld Carpark & a red SUV car would pick us up in 10 mins at the entrance to SeaWorld. 20 mins later, I phoned Nara Resort & was told that a red SUV (with SeaWorld on the side) was picking up passages near the entrance to Carpark. So, drive back there. 20 more mins later, rang Nara Resort again & a red SUV (without SeaWorld signage now) was collecting passages near the seal area of SeaWorld (where ever that was?!). After an...hour of waiting, parked my car on the side walk between SeaWorld & Nara Resort because it was faster to walk the 10 mins, than wait for any more incompetence. When I voiced my annoyance with the attendant, all she could say was it must have been a miscommunication!! Then finally carried bags to room. Ran a shower for my 5 yr old son, which lost pressure about 5 times during a 10 min shower. I kept having to go in there, so that more than a trickle of water cane out of that shower nozzle. Since I didn’t feel like walking out to the street at night with my son to look for dinner that night. Decided to get room service. The first call to room service rang out. Tried again, got transferred to reception, where they put me through to the restaurant, where the guy at the other end laughed at me & said we don’t do that, you need room service. Tried to call room service again, eventually got through. I ordered a steak for me, kids fish & chips, 2 desserts & a drink, which cost $90!! Ridiculously expensive!! & it took about 1 hour to get to us. Rooms were not sound proof, could hear the people next door. Rooms were very small for the price. Definitely will never stay here again!! The only thing that made this weekend away worthwhile, was that SeaWorld was amazing!!! The staff there are incredible. I will just never stay at the Nara Resort. Next time I will be finding a hotel somewhere else, after all, Nara doesn’t provide car parks for their guests, which I thought was the main reason you stay somewhere. Crap Resort.

Loved it! We went there on a weekday so the park wasn't busy at all. There's so much to see and do, lots of cute mammals, shows and rides.

Ok the rides were mainly for kids, but it was just a nice relaxing chill out day.
Resort lobby, motel room, rude front desk staff.
Served by an unfriendly and rude reception staff at check in.
We booked two rooms, both of them are old and tired.
One of the towel in the bathroom was not properly washed.
The old hairdryer seems dangerous.
Definitely not worth for the price tag.

We booked a Groupon deal, it’s a great deal. However, I have a son with Spina Bifida. While I made contact to let the resort know we were coming, there was no wheelchair as requested, but [name removed] was helpful enough to get that bought down from the theme park.
I checked my 2 sons into Kids club, making staff aware of his disability.
There were forms to fill out asking parents to explain the disability if any.
I went ahead and answered all questions as requested. When it was time to go to Kids club (my sons cousins already waiting in...

Personal belongings stolen out of bag while room was locked. Only housekeeping had access. Very disappointing end to what started as a great family holiday.
No kitchen sink in room that can accommodate 5 people.
No doona covers on bed.
Close to seaworld theme park which is great for kids.
Total rip off
When we arrived we had issues with our booking. Room was dirty bread under the couch and cereal under the bed and the room stunk. Had to get housekeeping down to clean. After waiting over an hour for this to happen the cleaner spent not even 5 min. She left. The bread was gone but the smell and the cereal were still under the bed had to see manager for the 3rd time in 3 hours of booking in. Not a good start to a holiday
Also had issues at breakfast was going to be charged twice to feed my kids. Had to fight and argue again to get it sorted
The service was below standard
The rooms we stayed in were dirty, with biscuit crumbs, plastic, hair on the floor. It clearly wasn't vacuumed before we arrived. Had to contact house keeping to re-clean the floor. As we have young babies, we couldn't even let our babies crawl on the floor.
When we checked into the room, Charlee confirmed that we had a late checkout until 12pm. On the day of our check out, we went out to SeaWorld park, putting on the do not disturb. We came back to the rooms and everything was stripped back all by housekeeping. The two baby high chairs wer...e taken out of the rooms, they took out our baby food, personal belongings... it was babies lunchtime, our kids were hungry and crying, with no chair to sit in and no food to eat. I got very upset and called Duty Manager Cher, and she never apologised to us. She offered us 3 water bottles from mini bar and $20 credit to compensate. At the check out I asked Cher if I can speak to the general manager, the answer was no I have to email her and she will decide if she will let the GM see it or not. During the whole process Cher didn't apologise at all, very rude and arrogant. I don't think SeaWorld is family friendly resort, particular to young families, won't return! Updated: after I posted this review on TripAdvisor, the Manager replied and said he will contact me. It have been 8 days, and I haven't heard from the hotel at all. Not a phone call or an email. Their reply on TripAdvisor is just to show face. I definitely won't return and will urge my friends be careful of this hotel.
Wouldn't stay there again
Stayed there for 5 nights in the baywing these rooms need renovating. The news rooms look great but not the cheaper ones. Ceiling fan in bathroom didn't work. Little bugs near where you make coffee and tea. When we first got there the bin in bathroom was not empty from the last person and we left money around on the desk and housekeeping took it. They gave us a credit for that which was good but it's not the point you should be able to leave whatever in your room and it shouldn't be touched. The theme park was good but I would never stay at resort again. They need to update their carpark as well not enough car space for guests.
Nearly died in their room from faulty electrical appliance
While recently staying at the resort, my two daughters 4 and 5 were there for their birthdays. Had an amazing day till we get back to the room and the Hair dryer catches fire while we are using it. NO COMPENSATION was given at all. We asked for the one night to be refunded after I was shaking and crying at the front desk. We were refused by the duty manager who said he contacted the hotel manager who also would not compensate us in any way. It was flaming blue and white flames, surged the power in the room and was making zapping sounds. I'...m just so thankful I was the one holding it and not my daughters. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED with their non concern for our safety. They honestly didn't care AT ALL. So this is all I can do. WARN everyone else.

Terrible experience this time around.
Been here three times before, and this time in 2015 was the worst.
$100 per head entry fee. What a rip off. . Half the park is shut for renovations and under construction but same high price. .
The whole sea world park is nothing but a money making scam. . Everything is expensive, the price of food and drinks is such a rip off. .
The staff are rude and arrogant. . Could not at all be helpful in any way. . They would rather be somewhere else. . The monorail is jam packed.

Wonderful place to stay
Having spent a week in Queensland at Sea World was absolutely lovely. The room was spacious the restaurants beautiful and the theme park was magnificent. We were able to also get cheap tickets through Sea World to the other theme parks. The only thing I did miss was not being able to just walk out the door to a shopping complex or precinct.

Absolully perfect. Spoke with a girl by the name of [name removed], she was extremely honest and didn't pressure me into anything. Water park was just simply amazing, one if the best I had visited. I think they will see me again this year. Love the slide, highly recomend this company.

Loved my stay.
I booked my stay through a Cudo deal and was so very impressed with both Cudo staff but also resort staff. One of our bags was lost in transit and with the exceptional staff at Sea World Resort they were found a day later and left in our room. Outstanding!
Family friendly, clean, professional staff, excellent food in restaurant.
We did not find any negative points in our stay.
Questions & Answers
Can I take scooters for my children to get around on...think they might struggle with loads of walking. Aged 7 and 9. Thanks
At the resort itself? Well even if the resort had policies about no scooters, we were almost knocked down several times by kids riding Hoover scooters and normal scooters even in the hall ways (even on second and third floors). Would be nice if parents allowing their kids scooters were responsible enough and respectful enough to other resort members!
I wrote a review after yesterday’s visit to sea world titled Pathetic rip off by Ian C. I would like sea world to look at redeeming themselves and offer half the entry fee back as only half the park was working
We were there last week and the theme park was sub standard. Rides not open, areas closed off, shutting early, needless to say very expensive food. Big difference to the park ten years ago. Then there's the accommodation side. i was treated like a criminal on the second morning by staff in the restaurant stating i hadn't paid for breakfast (they later acknowledge it had been paid) but no apology for being treated like a criminal.
