The shaver may or may not be good but the "Seiko" claim is FALSE
Some love it and some hate it.
Some sellers of this shaver willfully deceive buyers by claiming that is is a genuine Seiko product, which it is not. If you do not believe this just ask Seiko direct or any Seiko authorised seller.
Some shaver sellers have even produced their own boxes stating the shaver and trimmer is made by Seiko S yard which closed down about 15 years ago, but the Seiko logo never actually appears on the shaver or the trimmer itself. The shavers and trimmers are made by Izumi Products. They may indeed be assembled in ...Japan so that sellers can loudly trumpet the fact that this is "made In Japan", but tis is false and the truth is that its components are made in China as I have seen with my own eyes in a factory in Zehjiang. In no way do I want to stop people buying this shaver of trimmer but for sellers of the product at least be honest and stop claiming it is Seiko product when it is not.! This will no doubt produce a storm of protest and vitriol from sellers pretending to be buyers on the platform to prop up their sales but every word I have said is true
Still the best.....
I thought to update my shaver and try a new one, Hair erazor, but after receiving it found it not as good and there is no electrical approval for
Aust and NZ even though they try to say there is. And now the Government authorities have had them pull their Aussie website and stop selling it so I can't even return it for a refund. I will stick with my Seiko or whatever name it goes by it does not matter it is still the best and definitely has electrical approvals so it is perfectly safe to use. Buy it online it's much cheaper than all the others!
inexpensive, reliable, safe to use, works well
Shaver sales people should not deceive their customers by telling them they are buying a Seiko shaver. It simply is not true. You are being tricked.
At least you can now make an informed decision on which shaver to buy.
I have used the Cleancut shaver and while it used to be an option there are many other better shavers that are now more advnaced and cheaper and do a great job of getting the smooth skin i want. The least expensive I have found is the Hair eRazor (and you get a free trimmer, titanium blades - not cheap steel, and you can use...
I have the newer version of the Cleancut with rechargeable battery, however one charge lasts only one or two shaves. The Seiko build quality seems solid and reliable. I brought this because I was sick of buying shaving cartridges and of the whole shaving process. The Cleancut Shaves almost as close as a razor and is convenient, never nicks, cuts or pulls. Extra blades can be purchased online or at Shavershop. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and effective personal shaver.
Never nicks, pulls or cuts skin or hair, shaves very...

I am looking for replacement blades for my Seiko CleanCut. I am currently in Dubai, so will need an online source. But I have noticed when I come across websites, the "Seiko" name isn't shown under "CleanCut"(on the picture of the shaver) Can you tell me are ppl selling copies or did Seiko remove their name?
