Are they worth the money ?
We have 3 split AC and 1 portable AC , the sensibo works great with the split AC and has given us more functions than the remote has, the climate sensor is a great way to save money as the AC shuts down until the set temperature is reach , we need to save $335 in electricity over the next 3 year to pay for these , which I think will be more than achievable ,, the sensibo unit on the kogan portable took a bit to setup , but the help pages and support is great

Easy to setup and install. Has worked perfectly ever since. Great support, they even worked with me to add additional controls for swing settings. Much better than an IR sender as it seems to not only send the command, it also reads an IR reply to get the actual status of the aircon
I have 3 of these - Simple and Effective Remote Management
- Remote control functions work well - seems to allow for most if not all of the normal air con control functions (also allows for login from a web address so you can use devices other than phones too)
- Allows for an advanced timer schedule
- Embedded sensor in the devices allows temperature tracking and full audit trail of who turned on/off aircon and when (including temperature changes). Allows multiple users to access controls.
- Works over internet - while out am now able to turn aircon on before getting home
- Ability to set device to tur...

Love this smart device - changed my life
Im all about my smart home and was looking for something to control my non-smart air conditioner. this is the perfect device that allows you to control your air conditioner remotely as well as control it via alexa or google home. i love its ability to turn off or on your air conditioner automatically when it senses you are at a certain distance from your home. i dont even touch the remote my aircon came with.
Sensibo Sky Remote Control the Best Remote you'll ever use
I bought 1 of these from Harvey Norman when I recently got a new Mitsubishi AC. So easy to setup and had it working in 5mins. 10mins later I ordered another one for the bedroom AC. Although the 2nd one was $7 cheaper including postage on Amazon Australia. Works with Google Home Mini whilst within the house and Google Assistant on your mobile. Driving down the freeway on a cold wet night and being able to talk to Google.."hey Google" "turn on the Living Room" and arriving home to a warm living room is fantastic. The interface is so easy and so...much better than the AC remote. Setting "on timers" or "off timers" is a breeze as is scheduling. One very minor downside is you are able to set a fan speed simply by touching the fan icon then touching your fan selection from Quiet through various speeds and onto Auto BUT you can't do that with the vane flow direction. If you touch the vane direction it does not give you a selection but rather moves to the next position and with multiple touches it will eventually get to Auto however unless you are standing underneath it at the time you get no indication on the mobile app as to what position the vane is in. As I said not a big issue due to if you are not in the room it doesn't really matter and if you are well then you can see what it moves too. ***Edited 16/11/2018*** I was pleasantly surprised today when I went to use my aircon for the first time this summer. The minor issue re the vane direction as detailed above has now been fixed. ie in the app you can now select the exact vane position or oscillating. similar to the fan speed via a number different icon selections. Well done Sensibo unfortunately I can't give it 6 stars.
Never struggle with the timer function on your air con again.
First thing to note. I was pairing this device with a relatively new air conditioner - I can't guarantee results for older models. The Sensibo website has a compatibility list.
The unit is much smaller than I'd imagined from the publicity photos and was an absolute breeze to set up: Just download the app, plug it in and follow the prompts - all it needed to pair with the air con was for me to point the remote at it and press the power button. The sky detected the controller type and it was done.
The app is much more intuitive than air c...on remote I've used, it's easy to set up schedules as well as timers. The device is able to stay in synch with the unit when you use the original remote control so there's no need to worry about not being able to use it as normal. My favourite bit is being able to turn the air on when I'm 15 minutes from home. I do this manually, but it is possible to set up geofencing. You can also link the one unit to multiple phones so other people in the house can all control the air. Downsides - it doesn't work with Apple home-kit so you can't ask Siri to turn the air on. It does say it works with Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
This is an awesome product, once set up!
I had a few issues with getting it connected to my wifi but the support team are super responsive and very helpful and genuinely want to help you get using the product.
Works a treat so far and it enables me to turn on my air con for my elderly dog when I need and not have to leave it on all day in the hot QLD weather!
Works great when you get it setup!
I had a few problems setting it up. When I scanned the QR Code I lost the connection, which created a few problems. Fortunately Sensibo's support are pretty quick to respond, so now all is good!
It would be great if it would support horizontal air flow (but I believe this is coming in an update).
All in all I'm happy with the Sensibo. It probably needs a bit of "fine tuning", but its great to set the Air Con remotely and come home to a warm home!! I'd definitely recommend it.

Used to work with Apple Siri but now no longer
The set up process is fairly simple, and once the unit recognises your air conditioner model, the app allows for full functionality of all the basic functions. However, integrating the unit to the Apple HomeKit ethos is woefully inadequate. When the unit first arrived, it was possible to say "Hey SIri, turn the air conditioner on/off" After an upgrade, that is no longer an option. The Sensibo folk now say "Works with Siri shortcuts, which is basically a voice operated Apple Automator. Also, I have found their customer service and return policy ...to be quite sub-standard. Knowing what I know now, I wold think twice before shelling out the money for a basic App-based system that places a device with a wire hanging from it stuck within eye sight of my air conditioner.
Purchased in May 2020 for A$159.00.
Wait until the product gets better!!
Unable to fully support ac units. No support for Sleep mode. No support for Strong mode. No support for Quiet mode. No support for Health mode. Etc.... If you want it to only control temp and fan speed with your phone then you have the right product. Only cloud based. Have had the product for 5 months and will be returning this product to the place of purchase in the morning. Could be a good product but would give them a couple of years to develop it properly.
Is just a nightmare to install, if you can
SensiboSky was sent to me by AGL, I attempted to install but was an exercise in frustration. Downloaded App followed the prompts which simply didn't work. Downloaded SensiboSky Troubleshooting which did not work either. Although I noticed of the 5-6 troubleshooting webpages all had been updated between 3 weeks & 1 day ago. AGL could not get their instructions correct either, told to phone a number then select option 4, well after 4 transfers of this call & over 30 mins later I finally got onto "Rewards" but they could not help either had to hav...e someone phone me back that day. Well no one did phone me until the following day but sadly I was not available to take call. I decided to delete SensiboSky App & start again. What a waste of time I could have put to better use. It maybe the 'ants pants' but if it doesn't have a simply download process why bother. I certainly I am not wasting any more time on it, will be sending it back at AGL expense
Terrible customer service. Dodgey product. Won't replace /refund.
Bought a Sensibo sky, and heaps of problems setting out up. Wifi wasn't stable, would not trigger ac unit.
Online support took days to respond to emails.
Reset the unit several times, as per email Instructions from 'support'.
Still didn't work. Got frustrated and hit thy thing a few times, now it works with a range of 2m.
2m is no where near the advertised 6m but they state up to 6m range so the short range is fine with them
Purchased in November 2020 for A$139.00.

These devices have so much promise, but have some major flaws.
The biggest one is that they only work via Sensibo’s cloud service, so if the company goes under every Sensibo becomes useless.
The next is their product support. I had one device that quite clearly had a hardware fault 7 months into ownership and was strung along for nearly a month trying to get an RMA number until I was finally told to return it to the online retailers that I bought it from. It seems they don’t stand behind their product at all.
I wish there was another option ...to recommend, but if you want smart control of an IR A/C they are kind of your only choice. While the product worked it was pretty neat, but I couldn’t really recommend taking the risk that you might get faulty hardware that they won’t help to replace, or the fact that what you’re buying will only work as long as their company stays afloat.
The horrible little thorn in my side.
Everything was working well, and I absolutely loved it.... but then, I changed routers... and then the nightmare began.
I found out that connecting it to a different network required a masters degree in networking and device interface....
“Oh, you know, just connect to it’s http://192.168.1.1 pathway manually... put in all of this information... WAP1 or WAP2, what is the specific gateway....” and I could go on.
Meanwhile, you’re connected to its own little wifi... so you can’t actually do much unless you turn your wifi off, find what you’re...
