I bought 1 of these from Harvey Norman when I recently got a new Mitsubishi AC. So easy to setup and had it working in 5mins. 10mins later I ordered another one for the bedroom AC. First thing to note. I was pairing this device with a relatively new air conditioner - I can't guarantee results for older models. The Sensibo website has a compatibility list.

The unit is much smaller than I'd imagined from the publicity photos and was an absolute breeze to set up: Just download the app, plug it in and follow the prompts - all it needed to pair with the air con was for me to point the remote at it and press the power button. The set up process is fairly simple, and once the unit recognises your air conditioner model, the app allows for full functionality of all the basic functions. However, integrating the unit to the Apple HomeKit ethos is woefully inadequate. When the unit first arrived, it was possible to say "Hey SIri, turn the air conditioner on/off" After an upgrade, that is no longer an option. SensiboSky was sent to me by AGL, I attempted to install but was an exercise in frustration. Downloaded App followed the prompts which simply didn't work. Downloaded SensiboSky Troubleshooting which did not work either. Although I noticed of the 5-6 troubleshooting webpages all had been updated between 3 weeks & 1 day ago. These devices have so much promise, but have some major flaws.

The biggest one is that they only work via Sensibo’s cloud service, so if the company goes under every Sensibo becomes useless.

The next is their product support. I had one device that quite clearly had a hardware fault 7 months into ownership and was strung along for nearly a month trying to get an RMA number until I was finally told to return it to the online retailers that I bought it from. It seems they don’t stand behind their product at all.

Everything was working well, and I absolutely loved it.... but then, I changed routers... and then the nightmare began.
I found out that connecting it to a different network required a masters degree in networking and device interface....
“Oh, you know, just connect to it’s http://192.168.1.1 pathway manually... put in all of this information... WAP1 or WAP2, what is the specific gateway....” and I could go on.
