The quote of $184 or $294 (VIP price) for connecting a ceiling fan was extremely high for one junction box worth about $10 and 1/2 hour labour. I reluctantly paid the $49 call out fee then got another electrician to do it.

Made the initial error of leaving a message with an electrician around the corner - Im still waiting. Quick Google search and found the highly rated Service Today. Needed some electrical work completed. Electrician, Tyler, turned up exactly on time and diagnosed an issue with our Meter Box that could have cause real issues is not rectified. Gave an immediate quote to fix and was able to do the work immediately.
Tyler was very professional, meticulous and ensured I understood the new switches installed. Cleaned up and no mess left.

Job:350772. Suddenly lost all power on the Friday just before a long weekend. I called Service Today as I had used them in the past and was extremely pleased with their prompt attendance, and friendly knowledgeable tradies. They did not disappoint today either, arriving within 1/2 hour of my call, identifying and fixing the problem, and made sure all was well before he went on his way. Extremely pleased and grateful to them for their great service. Simon was very helpful and knew what was needed. Highly recommend.

Unbelievably bad!

This mob focused on taking advantage of me by way of fast talking scare tactics. After feeling pressured to sign up, i sought a refund which took weeks to fulfil.
I wanted a powerpoint replaced, which he did not do properly and i have since been told said powerpoint isnt legal and should have been disconnected and closed off as its below a tap!
Despite this i was still charged a call out fee and a $200 fee for the powerpoint which is not even usable.
Never again!

Suspect price

Required an electrician on a Saturday morning due to a power failure and contacted Service Today. Price quoted a call out fee of $89, which seemed very reasonable. The technician found the problem to be a faulty Safety Switch and then quoted a total price of $550 to replace it - and this included a $50 "Yellow Pages" discount! I think companies know that once they get a call out - especially for a weekend emergency - the customer is unlikely to reject them and go elsewhere. Therefore they offer a low call out rate and then charge whatever they like for the job.

Job no.340018. My husband found Service Today on line. We needed our down lights to be fixed. A time was booked and they arrived on time and were efficient and pleasant. A quote was given for the needed work and a time was agreed to. Once again they were on time and the work was done in excellent time and explained well. We will definitely call them again for any future work needed. Recommend this company definitely.

We had bad experience with your service. So disappointed, your so called electrician left air condition main circuit board cable disconnected while investigation. As a result, Samsung air con. tech didn't attempt to fix the air con issue. Because of your electrician's negligence, we have to pay price for that.

I had good 45 minutes chat with your receptionist at Adelaide. I asked her to book an electrician to connect the cable at circuit board, which he had disconnected without any reason. He should be liable to fix the issue rather creating another issue on top. She kept on asking for call out fee of $49.00 even though that was not our fault. Its all your electrician's fault. Why should we be responsible for that. She also mentioned its in our terms and condition. You guys are worst ever i encounter of. i never ever recommend to other people.

Remember the Australian Consumer Law Guarantees: under s 54, all services must be provided with reasonable care and skill. The guarantees cannot be waived by their exemption clauses, even if you sign on the dotted line. So when they cite their 'terms and conditions' just ignore it as in most cases you get way more protection under statute law ie the Australian Consumer Law.

So, can authority ask the provider to hook up disconnected wire in Switch Box asap. Until now we don't have air conditioner working / air conditioning specialist could not fix the issue without power to the circuit.
