Irresponsible and Time wasting
Made my first ever claim after being their customer for years. It took them a full month to organize the paperwork for repairer to start. I had to call up every week and keep getting told someone will call me back but no one ever did. After almost 2 months of waiting for a small repair which should have only taken couple of weeks I get my car back only to realize they have done even further damage to the car. small little chips on the paint job where they worked the bumper bar was not fitted properly, and so on.

very irresponsive and very slow traction of my claim
no value in it and extremely frustrating experience with SGIC. I am with Allianz as well and they are way better. When it comes to help from SGIC, you are getting nothing. the response time-frame they promise they will never meet.
my claim [Number Removed] - it has been going on for more than a month. do not know when it will be resolved by SGIC. Regardless how many times I contacted them they keep pushing to future and I yet to receive a resolution.
I have been with SGIC for couple of years. now I am considering to cancel my policy with them...
Long term customer rip off
17 year customer with no claims and multi-policy (6 policies), premiums just kept ratcheting up. Put up all sorts of excuses and reasons why they couldn't drop the premium so shopped around and ended up saving around 20% across the board for the same cover. To add insult to injury, they tried to charge me $30.00 to cancel each policy ($180 total). Profits before people.
Safe low km drivers get penalised
I am low km driver and held licence for 20 years. Some one reversed into my car a few years ago. I noticed since this claim they not give me any discount. Every renewal comes an increase. They do not care how long u been with them.

We do not do price matching. This comes down to the level of cover that we offer like open driver policy and liability cover for up to $20 million. As a premium insurer we have a responsibility to price ...all of our policies correctly according to the risk that they present to ensure that we have enough funds to look after our customers in the event of claims. Only after you're money so they have "Enough funds"
