CURRENTLY TRYING TO GET IT FIXED
PURCHASED THIS REFRIGERATOR MID WAY 2017. HAS STOPPED COOLING A FEW DAYS AGO. SIX MONTH AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. HAVE GOT IN A TECHNICAL BLOKE TO LOOK AT IT. AFTER AN INITIAL INSPECTION , I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT ITS LIKELY THAT THE FREEZER FAN MOTOR HAS CEASED. SO THE TECHNICIAN WILL PROCURE FAN AND INSTALL BUT HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE'S O GUARANTEES A NEW FAN WILL FIX THE PROBLEM. WILL SEE . LITTLE ASSISTANCE OFFERED FROM THE SELLER OR SA SO FAR.
So disappointed! We brought this fridge from Harvey Norman (factory outlet- new in box) in September 2019. I spent a lot of time researching fridges that would fit our space and needs. One thing I never thought to check was the noise. From day one, it made a constant hum and buzz. Being on maternity leave, this constant noise is driving me crazy! When I called Harvey Norman they said I need to contact Sharp myself which I did. After numerous calls and emails back and forth they have said - it is normal for the refrigerator to make noise, as per...the Operation manual. I have never heard of a fridge to make a constant sound before. I thought Sharp was meant to be a reputable brand. The last conversation I had they said a manager would call us back. We are still waiting and are externally disappointed! I wish I had found this site before we bought as other customers say it is noisy too.
Perfect Fridge,Freezer for couple (NOT for family)
We downsized from separate fridge and separate freezer to this Sharp model as there are only two of us in the house, Perfect size, so far excellent only been 11 months NO issues at all, apart from the top shelf not high enough for some items,everything else is perfect, keeps all fruit and veg. fresh and crispy, all settings are very easy to workout.

worst fridge ever
fridge was noisy from start. never got cold enough and now after 3.5 years. fridge has stop cooling . freezer still ok . pretty bad for a $2000+ fridge i was expecting 10 years +

Brilliant refrigerator until it stopped working.
I bought a Sharp SJ-F624St refrigerator in December 2014 and we have been very happy with it until now. It has stopped completely and have been told that the compressor needs replacing, which I believe is an extremely costly job.
Surely such a critical component of a refrigerator should last more than 4 years.
What can I do to avoid a costly repair?

Overall very happy, I was a little nervous reading review of occasional noisy fridge, this one barely a sound! Space is great, doors don’t close easily though and kids need re training to not flick it shut and walk off. Lighting good, overall very happy, just love the deep ice cube container

Dents in the doors
The fridge runs well and fits nicely into our fridge cavity. HOWEVER, a few months after purchase we noticed dents in both the top doors. We assumed someone had pushed them shut too hard. Then more small dents started appearing. We contacted Sharp service, their rep. came out and said that shouldn't happen. After a couple of months Sharp gave us two top replacement door shells. They did not replace the full doors, just the outside of the doors. No dents. Now 6 months later each corner of the top doors has a dent. We are so careful, it has to b...e the pressure from the inside of the cabinet v the outside air pressure. Does anyone else have this problem When the original doors were taken off the rep. told us to push on them to see how easily they might dent. No way, they were very quite sturdy and could not be dented by pushing on them. It is obviously a design fault.

Things i love about this fridge.
I can put large platers in. the double doors is the best design for economy and ease. The ice maker is sooooo easy, elegant and takes up little room and i can take out half in winter. Good quality draws. Great having two door freezer with draws down the bottom. (the best design!) THEY GOT IT RIGHT!!! love this fridge. Quiet too......so i dont know what the other reviewers are experiencing......

brought from the good guy last year.
it is quiet
it comes with four doors and makes it so much easier to get food in and out from the fridge.
the overall build quality is good, actually it is better than many other more expensive fridge.
the internal design is so thoughtful, for example it comes with LED light and it automatically turn on when I open fridge doors.
Really really really love this fridge and I would definitely buy it again next time.

Have just bought this fridge & can't stand the loud noise it goes from a loud hum to constantly running it only stops when the doors are opened. We've never had a fridge this noisy. I turn up the TV at night so I can't hear it.
We bought this model because of the stylish look and solid shelves but I wish they had fridges turned on in the shops so you can hear the motor running before purchasing.
Love the freezer separate sections and like the draws in fridge although there is an extra cold draw which does freeze the bottom of some foods
The only problem I find is the fridge Is a little deceptive with the space ; it’s quite small not deep enough for jugs to stand up or accommodate large casserole or salad bowls
There is a taller one if I had seen the alternative I would have bought instead for e tra fridge space as had the room
Constant fan noise
I have had this fridge for almost 4 weeks (received August 2018). In that time the circulating fan runs almost every minute of the day with the exception of when the doors are opened and the compressor starts. Otherwise it is ALWAYS running. The fan noise is louder than the compressor and becomes quite annoying after a while. (not to mention how much extra power it might be consuming).
Sharp sent a tech from the local service agent who (promptly) came and adjusted the door gap thinking it was a temperature issue. Problem did not go away. I ran...

I today received the Sharp SJXE624FSL that i purchase from The Good Guys. Seems to run quiet, temp control good, but one interesting thing happens when either fridge door is opened and the light comes on. Our TV loses signal and once the fridge doors are closed the signal returns to the TV. Wondering if there is a fault that only happens when the doors or lights are on. Will be contacting Sharp tomorrow.
Like the space in Fridge and Freezer. Layout is great. I have following concerns though.
1. Compressor/Fan constantly runs unlike my 10 year old LG.
2. Top Doors are misaligned. I could get the bottom ones aligned but could not do the same for to ones.
3. Compressor is louder than my old ones.
We recently purchased SJXE624FSL fridge from Good Guys. Quite happy with overall space and performance. However have following concerns:
1. Top front doors are misaligned and I could not get them to align. I could get the bottom ones in alignment though.
2. Compressor/fan seem to run all the time (May be that is a feature of Inverter fridge??). Also I would have loved for compressor to make less sound (My 10 year old LG that this one replaced used to be almost silent)
This French door fridge is brilliant. Loads of space as the shelving adjusts and the freezer part isn’t one big bucket like most , it has shelves and is so much better to access. Integrated handles are the big design winner (rather than ones that stick out) . It’s quiet and looks great.
Can't live without it.
It is really trust worthy, dependable and durable, I got a feeling that I cannot move on without it. It is very efficient and excellent in electricity consume. Great product for a great price, I have been using only Sharp refrigerators in my life and would recommend any one, and you will never regret.

Really good quality fridge
I bought this fridge when I moved in and it's still as good as ever. Temperature is always consistent in all areas I never have to worry about cold or warm spots. My fresh produce always lasts the distance with this fridge compared to my old one. It's not noisy at all and the French door style is just perfect. Love having all the freezer space in drawers which makes cleaning a breeze.
VERY NOISY due to small plastic door hinge retainer which broke in half after only a couple of weeks
Contacted there so called CUSTOMER CARE line to let them know what had happened.Bearing in mind it is still under warranty, to let them know what had happened.And was told if you want service you will have to pay a CALL OUT FEE. to replace a small PLASTIC retainer held in by 2 self tapers.I asked the person in question if they could send out the part as small as it is,and I would change it myself.As a result they told me I would have to ring there SPARE PARTS DIVISION in QUEENSLAND!!!.Turns out the person in spares does not have a clue!!.He can...'t understand the parts drawing in reference to the part we require.As the drawings are too blurry to read. A set of 6 plastic retainers comes to about $4.00.Also they are expecting me to pay a postage /handling fee too have them sent from Queensland to Sydney.ALL THE WHILE THE FRIDGE IS SUPPOSED TO BE UNDER WARRANTY!!.Save your money people an DONTt buy a SHARP FRIDGE.As there is NO SERVICE.which just typifies any thing to do with the housing industry. We paid $1362 .00 for this fridge and this is the thanks we get for it .Being treated like IDIOTS.
I love this fridge i find it very good quality i bought it 8 years ago and iits still working perfectly .. its big and nice i love the design of it .. i like the fridge its organized and big .. easy to clean and maintain. . I highly recommend it.

I don't know the number, but it is quite noticeable even during the day, But only when adjusting its set temperature only,other times quiet.
I find ours very annoying and loud for a fridge. I would avoid and go with a different brand. Customer service poor and unhelpful.

I bought it about three years ago , the fridge stopped cooling the top compartment today. Two bottom freezer compartments, are ok . Motor is running , no problems with power. What could be wrong?

Thanks for your advice . The unit is off , fan has been taken out and awaiting replacement Freezer Motor Fan , that is what I have been told ( by repairers that I I engaged and i thought were very prompt in diagnosing and fixing such problems ) could be the problem. I have also been told that there are no guarantees that once the fan is replaced , the fridge is going to work or not. Initially I was told it is the sensor was the problem , then I was told it is the FAN . I am not sure what is next . I have taken the matter up with the company that I engaged to diagnose and fix the problem. That is another matter that I am pursuing apart from getting the refrigerator back on line that has been off for more than 10 days.
I went and saw Good Guys where I bought the unit from . They are of no help at all although it is only seven months outside the warranty period. They told me to contact SA. When I contacted the nearest Sharp Service provider that is listed on their site , they said that they no longer service Sharp Equipment. And Then I rang the next nearest , which is about 85 km from my place, they said they don't go that far. And Sharp Australia, who I have been trying to contact through their wed site, did ring me up once , with a promise to follow up by email, but I have found them to be little help if anything . I think GG sold me a lemon . And a repairer who so far has not identified the actual problem ... but one step at a time . I live in hope.
Is it possible to have the fridge display the current temperature of the fridge and freezer compartments? I know how to set them. Seems a waste of a display if this is not possible.
