Spare Parts
Don't buy an umbrella with their name on. I bought one from BBQ's Galore & tried to get a new copy for it due to UV damage, they didn't reply to my email , then when I rang was told that the model I have was container stock supplied to BBQ"s Galore & no parts are available. So what they probably mean is that it is cheap crap from China.
Thanks for the reply , I did email your spare parts department & did not get a reply . Then I rang them & mentioned that your website only listed square canopies, there was no offer of finding an ETA ...
Read moreon parts, so when I said " So basically we have to throw the umbrella in the bin ? " they replied with "Yes, sorry about that" .Paul, it might be better to email us at Repairs@shelta.com.au. Something is not adding up and I suspect it might be a misunderstanding about the model and the age of your umbrella or how it was identi...
Read morefied. We do stop holding parts for anything which is end-of-life; this is determined by the original purchase price but can extend out to 15 years. Shelta has operated in Australia for over 100 years. We have existed that long by supporting our product and supplying value.- 4 reviews

No instructions - makes for a lousy customer experience
I'm not going to bother rating the cover I bought. This is the second time I have purchased a Shelta product. And the second time there is no instruction manual. There won't be a third opportunity. It's not an acceptable customer experience when you have to guess how the damn thing works or how to assemble it.
My umbrella cover fell apart. No replacement provided.
I called Shelta to a replacement. I never heard back from them. Not worthwhile spending money on their umbrellas as no customer service exists in my opinion. Shops told me that replacement covers are available, but when I asked them to get one they did not assist either. I was not able to get a replacement cover. I will need to find a brand who offers me customer service, also after sales service.

Bad customer service
The canopy for my 3.5 cantilevered umbrella perished in the sun after a few years and when I contacted Shelta to see if I could buy a replacement, they said they no longer made that canopy anymore, but might be able to retro-fit it to one of their newer models, IF it measured the same in a certain area. It didn't, so they said they cannot help. I asked them if they could tell me where I could find another canopy from a similar company or where I could go to get help after spending so much money with them and I have had no reply. I mean, this wa...
Read mores a $2000 outdoor umbrella that is cemented into my patio, so can't be removed easily and they zero options to help? Do they not think that customers would want to buy replacement canopies after they fade or tear over the years? No forethought at all it seems. I've had no reply since, which I find very rude. I would never buy anything from them again.Find out how Shelta Australia compares to other Furniture Shops

Questions & Answers
Hi
All the very positive reviewers are first timers for product review whilst the less than positive reviewers have a bit of a track record of other reviews for other products. Is George still self promoting?
Alex2001, i did not do a product review - I did a service review! Not certain what your concern is, but I had a very positive experience.
Finding our cantilever shelter umbrella is hard to wind up and down. Can you please advise what can be done?
You shouldn't have bought a shelta umbrella they are all junk and their customer service is non existent. They are an awful company to deal with.
hi
Never had an issue with winding the umbrella up and down....it's just the awful fabric they use.

Hi Paul, We would like to extend our apologies for your concern. The umbrella in question sold exclusively through BBQ Galore stopped selling more than 4 years ago - The last one sold in 2018, but pea...
Read morek selling happened around 2016. We DO keep spare parts and canopies for these umbrellas, as we do with all our range, but because of the popularity of these, we have used up our stock of parts. We have reached out to our factory to get canopies and some other common parts for this umbrella but because of a shortage of materials in our factories, it will take some time to come through. Please send an email to repairs@shelta.com.au and we will certainly be able to give you an ETA on the arrival of those canopies. Thanks
