Sherwood Alto620

I have been using these speakers for more than a year in a HT system as main front speakers. in a HT system with a sub they are OK but these speakers are not suited to paying music.

I have recently replaced them with similar sized Pioneer speakers (SP-BS22LR). I knew the Sherwoods were lacking in base but didn't realise just how bad they were. Although the pioneers have smaller bass drivers, the blow the Alto 620s off the planet. I cannot recommend these speakers, not even at the highly discounted price.
Cheap, glossy black fake wood finish actually looks OK.
Severely lacking in bass. Much better value for the money (or not much more) elsewhere.
