Only just had this oven installed 3 weeks ago and loving it! You need to spend the time to get used to the options (and can't say I have yet) but so far it works a treat and was well worth getting. looking forward to cook at lot more now.
3 Ovens in one plus a 5 yr warranty
The oven is very good to use, still trying to work out the steam function. Winning Appliances offered free cooking classes. This is definitely a must do - the oven is very complicated. Bought it at Winning Appliances for $3,500. Was looking to replace a Miele which had blown after 12 years. Siemens was over $1,000 cheaper, had a 5yr warranty and had the steam function. Will provide an update after the classes when we learn more about it.
Love this oven
I bought this oven to match the steam shot oven also from Siemens that was already in our kitchen. I'd had a Panasonic combi microwave that I loved but the laser packed up when the oven was barely 5 years old and exactly the same thing had happened to my father's a few months before and at exactly the same age so I swore off that model forever. I chose the full size model over the 45cm combi as it was 2/3rds the price .
While the microwave is lower powered than most these days at only 900W and some foods take a little longer to cook, ...that's just a matter of getting used to using the oven and planning accordingly. The combi function works well, great baked potatoes in their jackets in 30 mins (25 on combi and 5 on normal oven), speeds up all sorts of other cooking too. Menus are pretty useless in reality, for example the roast leg of lamb doesn't go up in size nearly enough for our big Aussie lambs so I've given up trying to use them and just cooked by time like in "the olden days". The pyrolitic feature works perfectly/ I has an upside down caramel cake boil over with caramel burnt on everywhere. Ran full clean function (2 hours) and all it needed was of wipe the ash out with a damp cloth. It's really good too for the racks, they are the same as the steam shot oven so racks and trays can go backwards and forwards at will (but trays can't be in when using it as a straight microwave). The biggest gripe I have is that the single wheel to change the timer is very frustrating, it takes lots of effort to set lengthy cooking times. Ok for the oven functions and the temperatures but a pain in the proverbial for the timer. Whomever designed this never used it in real life.
Some good, some not so good
I have been using this for a few days now and I like the even cooking, and fast heat up times. I don't like that my door has little chips on the inside of the glass (service call booked), and that the thin oven trays warp and do not slide easily into the racks. Obviously I was meant to fork out extra for the pull out racks. For a premium product I expected higher quality fittings. I also find the wheel frustrating to use, requiring lots of turning to set longer times. Using the timer can be confusing as if you press start/stop after setting your time it turns off the heating. I will need to follow the instructions carefully for a while to get used to it. A Question - why did the oven come with three trays and only one wire shelf?
Which function shoudl I use - top/bottom heating? Or 4D?
I have owned my Siemens oven since March. I have to confess that I am struggling to use it, as I always have to get out the manual to know which function/rack position to use. My question is is there a go-to setting to always use as a default option?
Siemens Wall Oven
Bought this Siemens oven from Winnings Appliances. I have been using it now for 1 week and it is great, very quick to heat up easy controls 4D hot air produces a very even cook. I really did struggle with what oven to buy but I am very happy with this purchase.
Disappointed and frustrated
1. Bought top of the range washing machine..IQ800. It never washed my clothes properly. IDos fault detected. Siemens took approx 2 months to replace machine and replaced it with an IQ700 (a downgrade).
2. Same day the replacement washing machine arrived. Bought top of the range Siemens HR676G8S1A/01 pulse steam oven. After installation found water was pooling in the bottom of oven. i.e over a litre with red error code E5116, E5135 across the screen. Has taken Siemens again 2 months to replace.
3. Installed replacement oven today (25th Jan 201...
Questions & Answers
Does anyone know which iQ700 series of oven has the telescopic rails - can't seem to find out. Thanks Del
Would be good to get an indication of when the wifi app will be available in Australia? Its over 6 months since we bought the new oven, and I'm not very accepting of excuses for this long delay. Please give us a Date?
Hi, how do I change The language to englIsh on my Siemens iq700 steam oven?
Thanks for the question regarding your Siemens oven.
We would recommend checking your user manual for the specific instruction found in the Basic Settings section.
generally, if you press the menu button you will be able to select the "Settings" operating mode. The first basic setting appears which is the language and can be changed using the rotary selector.
